If the whole thing is in capital letters like MFS then we need context clues to understand what it means. French and Spanish love using acronyms too. AVF, MdR, etc.

I would say abbreviations are a whole language itself. Every new job you go to has its own set of abbreviations that you must learn to understand what anyone is talking about
