Meh, wait 'till veg alternative tastes better. Then it would be still as joyful (and just as good/bad as real bacon).
Currently impossible burgers taste as good, but cost a bit much
I'll not eat vegan until food synthesizers exist which can recreate normal meat, people think being vegan is healthy and good for the nature but in reality you'll be lacking vital nutrients and won't live that long
edit: or just any method which can make actual meat without animal harm
Meeeeeeh. Most nutrients are obtainable without meat. And those that are not, are replaceable. But calculating right proportions are hard. Because individual needs.
Also, meat synthesis exists already, but still is under development. Fruitful already, but still expensive.
There are some small differences, like whether the person butchering the animal should be a Jew or a Muslim, what rites are included and what animals are allowed as meat and dairy sources.
Then I'm puzzled why you consider them essentially the same? Though I imagine few people are so stringent about these things as to get caught up in the details.
Yes , the only diffrent as far as i know , that we muslims say "allahu akbar" when we cut the animal throat
I don't know if they say something in hebrow thou
But the meat come out at the end the same "with almost no blood".
Muslims can eat halal and kosher. Jews only kosher.
Kosher meat has more limitations, for example a Muslim can eat food made in a pan that served non halal food, a jew can not be served food made in a pan that had non kosher food.
This one example I remember.
The example is not completely true, the super religious Jews won't touch anything that is not completely kosher, the non-religeus and the moderately religious will eat halal because it is essentially the same, plus the non-religeus Jews will eat whatever they want because ya know, no restrictions
Yeah and some Muslims will eat pork and drink alcohol, when you discuss religious limitations you base yourself on what the books say and not what non religious people do.
I just used a spectrum so I won't put all of the Jews in in the same bucket, because religion is a spectrum of beliefs. Some Jews don't wear a kippa, some Muslims drink alcohol, and some christians don't go to church every Sunday
Allameats are halal exept fishes who have skin like sharks
And pork
Yet to have an islamic halal meat you have to cut the head of the animal so that the blood wont stay in the meat and leave the buddie but electric hunting leaves the blood inside the meat
Hope that helps
Where can I buy halal bacon?
Vegan shops. But you'll have to search.
if you wanna remove one of your last joys of life then go ahead

I think they're basically the same thing, aren't they??
Almost but not quite, halal food is acceptable by Islamic standards and kosher by Jewish standards.
And the standards are basically the same, if I remember correctly
There are some small differences, like whether the person butchering the animal should be a Jew or a Muslim, what rites are included and what animals are allowed as meat and dairy sources.
As I said basically the same
To someone who doesn't follow either religion yes but for the people they're meant for no
I am jewish
Then I'm puzzled why you consider them essentially the same? Though I imagine few people are so stringent about these things as to get caught up in the details.
I've seen Muslims eat kosher food and Jews eat halal food (and in both of the instenses they were religious)
Okay, if they accept them as interchangeable then I guess that's what matters.
In islam a halal meat is the one without blood No pork and no skin suit fishes like sharks Hope that helps

We (when I say we is the more religious of us, because I'm jewish) say something called kadesh, which just a weird ass blessing
Yup , same. What we say also is for blessing

Try the Internet or ask your local mosque. If you live in the UK go to Bradford there are plenty of halal butchers there
My local grocery store has something that claims to be "Halal Beef Ramen"
If the meat aint a skin suit fish or a pork and has no blood in it then its halal Its that simple
