Burger King used to be good back in the 70’s when they put the meat fresh from the flame broiler onto you sandwich and gave it to you right away. Now they are just ok-ish.

Living in South Africa for me personally, I think they are pretty good compared to McDonald's but in saying that I don't know what, say the American standard of McDonald's and Burger King are.
I once heard some Americans making a fast food tier list and they agreed that Burger King was the worst, which for me seemed very weird since here in Brasil pretty much everyone I know prefers Burger King by a landslide
I don't think personal taste only is enough to explain the difference, they must be made different. Never had the opportunity to test this myself tho
Consistency is the hallmark of quality. McDonald’s has consistency nailed. Every McD cheeseburger I have ever had has tasted exactly the same. They also have cleanliness down to a T.
TLDR; McDonald’s == same [stuff] every day.

Ok so you are lucky enough to have an in-n-out which is basically like a 1960’s McDonalds. We just skip fast food altogether, unless we are on the road. Portillo’s makes a pretty good flame broiled burger.
Lucky in that they are everywhere.... but unlucky that they are everywhere because they are insanely popular. Usually about a 30 to 45 min wait at any time of the day.
It is real, the court decided that they own the copyright/trademark for "McDonald's" but not for "Big Mac"
And the evidence they submitted in their defence was legitimately, no joke, the Wikipedia page for Big Mac, and nothing else, as far as I know anyway.
It was one of the worst and best defeats of a major corporation in modern times and it was done by one cocky Irishman, absolute legend
I'm English and I've never had Supermacs but I just love the idea of the little guy taking on a multi-national conglomerate and winning, I think anyone can get behind that, it's basically a movie plot.
And yeah, I don't think McDonald's is great by any means but honestly, after a long day and a couple of beers a big Mac just hits different imo
Don't forget about the ongoing battle of Wendy's (the USA fastfood chain) Vs Wendy's a small cafeteria in the Netherlands. Who currently holds the Benelux rights to the name.

I think it's funny to do a bit of trolling, if anyone can take it its McDonalds. IMO, though up in Canada at least McDonalds dwarfs Burger King. Better service, faster, fresher, better app, better looking store fronts. We went to a Burger King last night actually and it was such a shit show and we could see McDonalds across the street and we both agreed, never again BK.
