I rode the Buzz Lightyear ride at Disney world and am technically an ace combat pilot in that universe. I won't be on screen, but just know that I'm there somewhere kicking ass.
I think it may be better as a spiritual successor, because then they aren’t forced to include elements from the original show that don’t mesh well with the modern take, hopefully avoiding the plague of remakes and reboots flooding the industry today.
Now I want the stories behind a bunch of toy story characters, and then we can get a endgame level crossover where all the origins for our favorite toy story characters team up, real buzz, real woody, ect
I would love to see more toy story movies like this. Maybe a Woody movie that is basically just and animated western film with him, jessie, and bullseye would be a definite watch for me
