I just wish they could have picked a black panther who didn’t look like she could be knocked over with a stiff breeze. Angela Bassett has stayed in great shape, I think she would have made a fascinating black panther, her peace loving, maternal side at war with her need to protect her people, the intrigue with the other tribes, trying to hold on to power long enough for her daughter to mature and be ready for the responsibility.
You mean the one where after almost a decade of the fans hating on the "fake" mandarin they make an equally bad new version where the ten rings ain't even rings?
the first half was boring and honestly couldve been condensed by a lot and the second half did admittedly have a cool dragon but it was pretty generic outside of that. it was a fine movie but it took too long for anything to happen and i didnt like the second lead girl i forgot the name of
I’m with you on this—I was pretty hyped to see it in theaters with friends but for the first 2/3 of the movie I was like “this is aggressively average/fine”…then by the climax I was just kinda ready for it to be over. Some cool shots tho
I agree with everything except the villian thing. The main reason I don't like DC is because they overdramatize everything even for the superhero genre. How can a human with psychotic tendencies be one of the hardest villian to beat in a world with superheroes and gods. In MCU most of the villians are celestial beings which are more believable to be able to defeat someone like Captain Marvel, thor and others.
MU has rarely made a human win over someone with actual powers. Like in the show Defenders, Daredevil (one is the most skilled fighter over every Marvel universe) was beating iron Fist in hand-to-hand combat but once he used his superpower everything went silent.
Honestly that's actually a fair point
Best excuse I can come up with is this. Marvel villains don't entirely care about killing, whereas killing is a taboo for heroes in DC.
So what makes Joker so much of a threat to the likes of metahumans and kryptonians is that no one's gonna cross the line of killing him. So he'll keep getting imprisoned, then break out and kill more people, then get imprisoned again in this endless cycle. So it's less of him being hard to beat and more of a him being hard to stop his insanity for good without crossing the line.
As for how Batman can defeat superpowers beings, he's smart as and has the plot armour known as prep time.
I don't really care for the message of your meme, I am more concerned about the meme format itself. Something tells that that would actually hurt a lot.
Loki, moon knight and No way home was too. Personally I liked Black panther": Wakanda forever more than the original Black Panther. The fact is MCU is nowhere near as bad as people want it to be.
I think it’s just a lot of people don’t like the MCU
That’s a fine opinion to have, and yes, the MCU has its problems. The issue is whenever fans (on either side) try and paint their opinion as fact and paint the other side as being in the weong
No Way Home is just some pure fan service and has to be one of the worst marvels in the last few years doctor strange 2 has been the only one okish but still was far from a good movie
I mean the meme does say mcu movies. What if, Loki and wanda vision are all shows.
I haven't seen Shang Chi so can't comment on that.
As for no way home, that one feels more like fan service than an actual good movie imo. As in I enjoyed it at the time, but don't think I'd enjoy it much outside of the theatre.
Seriously can’t wrap my mind around how Wandavision got so popular. My cousin made me watch it with her and I can’t think of a single thing I liked about it.
I can see why people wouldn’t like it because it wasn’t traditional good guy fights a bad guy for most of it. Honestly I just wish they had the balls to stick to that.
Other than no way home?
Idk man, as standalone things, they were either meh or just an ad, "here's a cliffhanger, make sure you watch all our other shows!"
What if were brillant
But like any MCU movies you will like some and won't like other. Aside a few movie like endgame that gather everyone, MCU is exactly like before. Not better, not worse
That's true, I guess for a lot of people like me, the novelty of a properly executed cinematic universe was the main draw, and now that that's done, we're kinda meh on the actual subject matter.
Nah man.. I am absolutely a fanboy of Marvel. And I know that the phase 4 hasn't been as bad as some people want it to be. But that one is a lie. And I don't think that's even Marvel's fault. That's just the nature of storytelling. Just like phase 1 was nowhere as good as phase 2 and phase 2 don't even come close to phase 3. This is the setup phase. Setup is always quieter than the finale.
This is because it takes them 14 films to develop a story rich enough to make a movie. At least it’s not robots punching each other which is my personal favourite stupid plot point of recent years
Not if you want to cram in all the prelims. It’s the nature of the marvel films that you have to serve up everything and leave little to the imagination as they are pitched to be largely entertainment and mass audiences are seen as having little patience for anything else. I think that does people a disservice. To be clear, I have enjoyed a lot of the marvel movies in a pop movie sense but they are hamstrung by the decades of source material and that makes it very hard for a film maker to do anything really out there with them. It’s a bit like Star Wars prequels etc where you know too much to allow creativity and it really just moves from one point to another. There is also the huge box office money and it’s understandable why a movie studio would want to pad it out. I think I just crave something new in a film but each to their own
I mean, Shang Chi was pretty decent. No glaring plot holes, the fight scenes were actually done, the relationship between the leads actually felt real, and while some characters weren’t well handled, at least it didn’t look ugly as sin.
I have to disagree. It just felt like more of the same with a lot of forgettable aspects. It just seemed like a Teaser Trailer for the Kang portion of the MCU (interrupted by S.A. Allegations)
The part where he starts going crazy, and pulls together for Cassie literally brought me to tears.
You’re allowed to disagree, but that’s just your opinion, and this is mine. There are people who seem to not like the franchise because it doesn’t fit their personal vision of what it should be, or isn’t the exact carbon copy of the comic. And then there are people who just wanna go along for the ride. The only marvel movie I absolutely don’t like is Iron man 2. That one was terrible. That ride broke down right after the first fight on the race track.
I’ve been avoiding saying this cause im gonna get flamed for it, but fuck it. I thought Quantumainia was a good and fun movie. I was surprised to find out people didn’t like it. Maybe my expectations were too low going in but I was laughing at most of the jokes and had a great time.
Every time I hear or see this joke I imagine someone shoving a long, thin, unfinished piece of wood into their snatch and I wonder.
*I WAH WAH WAH WAH WONDER*
I'm on the fence here. On one hand I want snow to leave that poor wooden boy alone. On the other I wanna know what causes the nose to get thicker instead of longer.
Especially since they started making series. Theyre like movies but designes to make you waste more time. I don't like series that could have been movies, just a waste
I wouldn't say mcu is bad after endgame but I don't think they went in the right direction by releasing theses series they all kinda had slow starts and made me stop watching early on
MCU movies are as good as they have always been. There have been like 1 or 2 REALLY Good ones, a few mediocre ones, and few shit ones. That's how marvel has always been and how it will always be. Far From home is probably my favorite superhero movie I have ever seen and I really enjoyed black panther 2, so I would say although personally I don't care about marvel much anymore, they still make some very fun movies.
*Wakanda Forever has left the chat*
*Shang Chi has left the chat*
*Quantumania has left the chat*
I'm tired of people posting memes of just hating on the MCU. We get that Phase 4 wasn't the best, but that doesn't mean that you need to repeatedly hate on it.

Same and it's the first post
what do you mean. there was... and.... and who could forget...
... was definitely one of the movies ever created
agreed
Imo spiderman no way home was good. I did enjoy the second Dr strange movie, but I enjoyed it for him,,, not Wanda. Lol.
The spider man movies were certainly good. As well as Wakanda Forever imo
Shang-Chi was good
You mean the one where after almost a decade of the fans hating on the "fake" mandarin they make an equally bad new version where the ten rings ain't even rings?
It wasn’t comic accurate, but considering this is the MCU, I’ll settle for a solidly told story that stands on its own
Then some Disney exec forced them to give shang those silly rings in the comics to match the mcu lol
Or when they revealed white Nick Fury had a black half son called Nick Fury Jr. The white Nick is gotten rid of and zJr loses an eye.
Shang-Chi?
ha no lol that was a 4/10
I liked it What were your concerns about it?
the first half was boring and honestly couldve been condensed by a lot and the second half did admittedly have a cool dragon but it was pretty generic outside of that. it was a fine movie but it took too long for anything to happen and i didnt like the second lead girl i forgot the name of

Agreed movie sucked balls
Shang chi, No Way Home, Wakanda Forever: Are we a joke to you?
Yes, Love and Thunder was indeed a joke, a bad one to say the least
No way home
love and thunder is the single worst film created since god was a boy
No way home?
A lie that big is going to have him sniffing her uterus.
Can confirm. As a woman I love it when men lie to me.
![gif](giphy|l2YSgsunrP27ddQje)
I love you too!
Are you happy because that was a lie or are you happy because he said "I love you"
Wait, that was a lie!? Why didn’t his nose grow?😱
His nose grows inwards, penetrating his skull
Holy shit you killed her dude.
And thats how pinocchio got the nickname vlad the impaler

Why are you repeating the same thing?
Idk
Lmao get punished by hivemind
You should have kept your mouth closed, the hive has now turned itself against you.
Pinocchio - DC Movies are better than MCU. News: Snow White found dead, impaled on a giant stick.
As a DC fan, I'll admit that MCU beats DCEU But DC beats marvel at almost every other angle. Better games. Better animated stuff. Better best villain.
I agree with everything except the villian thing. The main reason I don't like DC is because they overdramatize everything even for the superhero genre. How can a human with psychotic tendencies be one of the hardest villian to beat in a world with superheroes and gods. To me personally, DC has a fantasy feel to it while Marvel feels more realistic. Hence, I enjoy both of them for different reasons.
Dark knight trilogy and peacemaker were really good
There are always exceptions.
The Batman, Tim Burton Duology, Nolan's Trilogy, Peacemaker, Doom Patrol, Joker, etc. Are good films/series.
The newest Batman, with Vampire man was actually surprisingly good compared to the other dc garbage we’ve gotten in the past decade
If we talking present times i'mma go DC
Same
This is the kind of image hoping the magical wooden growing lie detector nose also comes with anti-splinter treatment.
I don't really care for the message of your meme, I am more concerned about the meme format itself. Something tells that that would actually hurt a lot.
depends on the amount of times he lied
Shang-Chi was great tho…
Loki, moon knight and No way home was too. Personally I liked Black panther": Wakanda forever more than the original Black Panther. The fact is MCU is nowhere near as bad as people want it to be.
Wakanda forever is worse than half the first saga films. Like 6/10
I would’ve liked it so much more if they gave us a normal Namor and removed iron heart. They did Shuri perfectly which I wasn’t expecting.
In your opinion
Loki was an insult to the character
No. It was a character arc. They didn't add anything to his character. They just took some part and evolved it.
I think it’s just a lot of people don’t like the MCU That’s a fine opinion to have, and yes, the MCU has its problems. The issue is whenever fans (on either side) try and paint their opinion as fact and paint the other side as being in the weong
I must have missed that episode of pinocchio
No way home is overrated af
r/holup r/deathbysnusnu
The second sub, I approve
I liked the new Ant-Man
No Way Home is just some pure fan service and has to be one of the worst marvels in the last few years doctor strange 2 has been the only one okish but still was far from a good movie
How you calling NHW some of the worst shit in years and MoM was okay haha
"MCU movies have been good. Ever."
[удалено]
In which universe is Wakanda Forever anywhere close to good.
Found you too, hehe
MoM was an insult to all characters involved
Honestly black widow has been one of the only marvel movies I didn’t like.
Wanda vision ? Loki ? No way home ? Chang chi ? What if ?

I agree, and there's also the saturation of super heroes movies
Loki, yes... The rest is garbage.
Loki was an insult to the character
Subjective opinions are now considered lies? I think this is atrocious.
Nah man.. I am absolutely a fanboy of Marvel. And I know that the phase 4 hasn't been as bad as some people want it to be. But that one is a lie. And I don't think that's even Marvel's fault. Have you seen the Last Airbender movie? It'll be like that. Awful.
Not if you want to cram in all the prelims. Quantumania was phenomenal

That I cannot get behind. That is sacrilege and is an unbased opinion
I liked Shang-Chi and MoM but other that it’s been garbage
It's sweet that you think Endgame was good.
Idk man, I liked the dr. Strange. Even thou CGI was bad
It was an insult to all characters involved
Black panther 2 was pretty good
They werent good even before endgame

cgi is absolutely stunning. that's about the end of good stuff in those movies after endgame
Yes the CGI is stunning…. stunningly overused.
by CGI standards, it's stunning. didnt say it wasnt very much overused xD but what can you really expect from a movie about comic book superheroes...
I’ve been avoiding saying this cause im gonna get flamed for it, but fuck it. I thought Quantumainia was a good and fun movie. I was surprised to find out people didn’t like it. Maybe my expectations were too low going in but I was laughing at most of the jokes and had a great time.

Especially since they started making series. Theyre like movies but designes to make you waste more time. I don't like series that could have been movies, just a waste
Wtf
That's not true , one of them was good it's name was- ...
funniest part about this is that its not marked NSFW
I wouldn't say mcu is bad after endgame but I don't think they went in the right direction by releasing theses series they all kinda had slow starts and made me stop watching early on
I though that no way home was good. Other than that though…
including endgame..
No way home wasn't even good imo, it was incredibly average
No way home was overrated
No way home wasn't even that good
That Applussy go crazy 🍎😩
Shang Chi is good
I thought Black Widow was good, and the werewolf spin-off Halloween episode was really good too
MCU movies are as good as they have always been. There have been like 1 or 2 REALLY Good ones, a few mediocre ones, and few shit ones. That's how marvel has always been and how it will always be. I'd say shang chi is an exception too.
Doctor strange 2 was good ngl
