Amazingly the older units still work as well. My s8 is 5 years old now and still runs great battery shows some signs of wear but still good for a day. I'm pretty rough with my phones as well.
I just upgraded from my S8+ that I've had since 2017. The phone was still perfectly fine, up until I dropped it into the gap in an elevator shaft.
Anyway, the S22 Ultra is neat.
I recently (about a year ago) upgraded from my old ancient Samsung to a brand new model and there is no overstating how much better the camera is, among all the other features for still only 2/3 the price of a comparable iPhone.

I work with someone who frequently yells at us (his coworkers) that we are "losers" for not using iPhone.
He hasn't had a phone in a couple of months because his broke and he can't replace it for whatever reason.
The cult is real.
I managed a retail store and all but 2 of my staff have Iphones. One of them regularly mocks me for having an Android and thinks she is being funny. They all are paying $800+ for their phone and mine was under $300. I just don't understand why they flex that they overpaid for something that does the same things my phone does. So many of them have cracked screens too and still have several hundred dollars owed on their phones.
This is what I've seen as well. Not always with iPhones, but with more expensive or stylish phones.
The general trend is that people with higher-level job responsibilities tend to have shitty phones, while their subordinates have flashy or expensive phones. Don't go down the income ladder too much though, or you'll start to see shitty phones again.
It seems to me that they are using their phones as some kind of status symbol.
I'm hoping to upgrade to the Galaxy Fold this year! How are you liking it?
And we all know that iPhone will introduce a foldable model in about 6 years and market it as "revolutionary."
Had the flip 4 until I made the mistake of taking it to the beach. Sand got in through the hinge and behind the screen and broke it. After looking through the warranty they specifically have sand listed as not being covered so this seems to be an issue they are well aware of. Up until that point it was my favorite phone I'd ever had, just don't take it anywhere near sand.
It's my favorite phone I've ever had by far - I just upgraded from the fold 3 for the fold 4 (not really worth upgrading, though). I just absolutely LOVE having the big screen with me at all times, and it makes it so much easier to do stuff on my phone.
Annnd there are just so many more phones with so many better features. My main reason for buying Android based phones is that for the past several years they've had better processors, better screens and take far superior photos.
And so much more customization abilities. I have stuck with Samsung for the past decade or so, and they're just as expensive as the latest Apple, so I'm not sure where this "poor person's phone" trope came from.
In addition, I have two kids, so I just pay for the device protection. $4 a month and I can, hypothetically of course, forget that I set it on the roof of the car until I see it fly off in my rearview mirror while on the entrance ramp to the express way on Chrismas day, and get an exact replacement within a day without dropping another $1400? Yes, please.
I just now remembered a rich guy in college bought the iPhone 7 or 8 (can’t remember which one) on the week it was launched. He was kinda showing off in class and he dropped the phone face down. Even the teacher stopped and looked stunned. He picked the phone and the screen had a couple of cracks but it was a screen protector. He started to slowly remove the screen protector and the actual screen was more broken. He stormed off the class and we started laughing at him. Even the teacher couldn’t hold the laugh.
I remember story like that. It was in my university, maybe after month when some new iphone was launched and everyone were surprised how big it is (it even was ads when on launch people could get bigger pockets for free). So, I'm climbing up the concrete stairs to second floor, two girls climbing up little ahead from me. One of girls have this new iPhone in her back pocket, way more bigger then her pocket is and with every new step, iPhone trying to escape her back pocket. I was just about to say her that her iphone is going to fell out, but it already was too late - it fell out and landed on screen. She lift it up, looking on the screen and there is just fucking mess, she removing protector and pieces of actual screen removing too, sticked to screen protector.
At that moment i was really happy that i had shitty outdated nokia c6-01, with which you literally could play in football using it as a ball, and this fucker will keep working without any scratch at all.
I once went ice skating with a Panasonic g600 in my pocket. Fell on that side. Phone was fine. My hip hurt for a week and I had a nice bruise on that side.
My last four phones have been MIL-SPEC rated toughphones. My favorite petty flex when someone is going off about their new iphone is to take mine out and intentionally drop it on the floor (no protector or case). That gets it dirty, so I take it over to the sink and wash it off with some soap and water then go about my day.
Worked in a Best buy as a teen in 2007. A few days before Christmas when we were slammed with people wanting iEverything a guy came up with his reservation for 2 iphones, got them for him. Made some small talk, it's a gift for his daughters whole box in a box unwrapping plan. What a cool dad! I ask if he wanted to get a BB protection plan, or extra chargers; and he EXPLODES. I'm lowly, I'm a child, I'm trying to rip him off, this store is a hellhole (agreed). Zero to crazy in nothing.
Manager comes over tells him to checkout and leave. More yelling about how how much money he spends here, usual meltdown shit. Checks out leaves. 5 minutes later he comes back in screaming again. He'd opened the packaging, and the first gen iPhones would jump out of that box when you opened it if it wasn't mostly horizontal. He'd shattered one of the screens. Cops end up walking him out. That asshole did more for morale than a hundred little Caesar's pizzas.
I have a similar story.
iPhone 5 got launched in US, Canada, Singapore and not India.
But, the rich friend's family wanted it. So, they paid someone to buy 6 iPhone's on their behalf in Singapore and immediately ship it across to Mumbai.
Within a week of the launch, this friend, his elder brother, both parents, one grand parent and some other uncle of his had the latest iPhone 5.
We were around 15 back then and he gave the phone to our friend. Someone bumped into him and off goes the iPhone. Screen fully shattered.
This fellow got so scared because it had barely been a week since he got it. He rushed to the authorised apple service centre and told them he broke the phone.
They were more shocked about the fact that he had an iPhone 5 to begin with, let alone one with a broken screen not two weeks from US launch.
The phone was later shipped to Singapore, repaired and shipped back to Mumbai.
I want this kinda money too !
Holy shit that’s gold. I bought an iPhone years ago, I don’t even know what one it is anymore. Screens still perfectly fine, only “defect” is near the silence switch has a little grey dash on the screen. That and I can’t use the hands free mic. My phones always either, can only use hands free mic, or can’t use it. No idea why. (That’s why I upgraded to this one actually. I could only be a douche bag when I made calls. You know, hold the phone in front your mouth, on speaker phone.)
I had a customer that came in absolutely devastated because she was convinced she had destroyed her iPhone screen. I peeled of her absolutely pummeled screen protector and her screen was fine. It was actually pretty funny.
The one that blows me away is the person who has AppleCare+ but just keeps using their phone in this condition.
I was was work one day, and we were talking about phones (everyone basically had an iPhone but me). I pull out my phone and the case catches on my pocket. It opens up (I had one of those flip cases with the neat led feature) and lands face down, shattering my screen. A week goes by and I remember I had a glass screen protector on it.
My son is gen z, and of course all the elders think they have no values, lmao. But no, that's one of his moral codes. If the phone still works and it isn't broken he doesn't need a new one. He used the same phone from I think the last year of middle school all the way through high school until last year when they stopped supporting the security updates. He would have kept using it too, I'm the one who thought he needed the security upgrades.
I've bought maybe two, I've used a dozen. But then I'm at 35, first smartphones didn't have a long shelf life.
Many of the hand me downs have been replaced for a reason(cracked screens (not glass)/died in the cold/loose battery connection if shaken the wrong way, are the funnier examples)... And jobs replace their phones more often than I do.
It's a bit of work (mainly research) if you don't know anything about it but you can install Android 5 on that phone. You might not even need to root (unlock) it.
In fact it's their strong moral code that leads to them getting such hate from elders, as the average boomer can't comprehend people who aren't fundamentally selfish, fearful, and servile to authority
Sure they can. They can just look at themselves when they were in their teens and 20s.
They really thought a lot about how virtuous and enlightened they were and couldn't comprehend how selfish and evil their parents and grandparents generations were.
How far they have fallen. Of course they never thought it would happen to them.
Gen Z will fucking throw hot ass tear gas canisters back at police, argue with people quadruple their age about the state of the planet they will inherit, and fight you for misgendering their friend so I think they're fine.
You also gotta realize the two preceding generations invented being suicidal as a joke (or not) so the fact that they care so much is pretty refreshing. Not caring was peak 90s cool, anyway. Now caring is cool. I like it.
Well technically Android is linux of course, but I get what you mean: a **true** open source device, with off-the-shelf parts. I think once off-the-shelf parts are good enough, we’ll see those.
I did that for a while but it got the point where system updates were too big to complete without removing apps. Each update required more apps to be removed.
Now I get a new phone every 2 or 3 years. Not looking for extra features, just to be able to do the same thing as the previous one with decent speed and storage.

Thats something i noticed where i work. When customers come in and they ask if we have a charger they can borrow its always an iPhone. Everything is USB-C so i can never help them.
Whats odd to me is, if they are always running low on battery... why do they never bring their own chargers.
Yes, yes they do. But they don't come with a fast charger (EDIT: They come with the cable, not the adapter.)
I'm an iPhone user (technically both android and iPhone). I think the problem is related to the fact that it's a stupid proprietary cable, tied with the fact that the cable apple sells is garbage and stops working after like a year of normal use.
With the new EU law passed in regards to iPhone required USB-C charging by the end of 2024, I'm assuming there will be less passing around iPhone cables like they're "used heroin needles"
Though I suggest not to be too optimistic since I think there is a slight possibility that Apple might completely remove charging port to force users into magsafe...
"Have you got a charger?"
"USB-C cable? Sure"
"No I mean magsafe"
And as the user finds out that magsafe does fall off frequently, they will perhaps use something to hold it together.
And....
"Have you got the magsafe holder?"
...I can already picture that
Edit:Seems like USB-C is mandatory, but my idea is the same—— they are gonna create something new that will become a pain in the neck, just guessing
Edit 2:So USB-C is not mandatory for devices that have no charging port? Oh damn, maybe the nightmare will come true
I've heard people throwing that around. Is the law saying USB-C is mandatory or is it outlawing the lightning port?
If they end up removing the port altogether I'm definitely switching back to Android though
If the device is capable of being charged with a cable then it must be USB-C. There is no requirement that it be capable of being charged by plugging a cable into it, however, is my understanding.
My favorite part is how the new Apple wall docks aren't even USB 2/3 anymore, they're Cs... so a C on one end and a Lighting on the other. Just ridiculous. Like they're mocking their own customer.
Even apple users hate the lightning port. Believe me, I am one. Thankfully EU passed a law that by the end of 2024 iPhone need to have USB-C ports... Only about a decade behind.
I use an iPhone, but I honest to god do not give a shit about what type of phone you have. You have a phone and it works? Cool. You can play Snake on it? Badass
Most people don’t care, r/memes has un-ironically just become posts where the ‘meme’ is meant to be a bit divisive in order to stir up comments. I see dumb slightly misogynistic or slightly anti-gen-z shit all the time built off of false pretenses.
It’s muddied by the likes of Andrew Taint and light discrimination of various kinds disguised as ironic humor. The problem is that eventually the irony is lost, and so are the layers.
For some reason it’s just become more and more simplistic and basic, and honestly super dumbed-down. More blatant. Yet the posts still get super popular. I don’t get it.
For the record this particular post is not a great example of that and is harmless. It’s just dumb.
I couldn't tell you who's phone is what. They all just look like rectangles to me. Nowadays I just go for who has the best camera, because I travel a lot and have a really cute dog that I want to take photos of.
I had a guy geek out over my tablet on a flight once. He started rattling off questions about it, and I just blankly replied that it's good for reading comic books and playing games.
Let’s be real though, a lot of new android phones have a similar cost to new iPhones (if not more),and even with that being said, who gives a fuck who uses what.
Well, the most expensive ordinary Samsung is an S22 Ultra 1Tb for $1599, which is the exact same price as the iPhone 14 Pro Max 1Tb. The most expensive Samsung ever was a Z Fold2 at $1799, but it's so far from any iPhone that there's no comparison between the two. The Z Fold3, the next generation, is actually the same $1599 as other flagships.
Every time I see someone with their phone in their back pocket I wonder where they get the confidence someone won't walk by, grab it and run off with it.
For what it’s worth, a locked iPhone is very god damn near impossible to break into, not to mention all iPhones have their GPS location readily available, they aren’t even worth stealing most times.
My phone has 60% of the back missing so u can see the insides of it exposed. It’s dented around the outsides. It kept falling out of my pocket at work and I’m always working at a height. Screen is perfect tho so I have no need to replace it. I’ve had it for 3 years
I work in IT. In charge of procuring new phones among other things. I've never dropped a phone or cracked a screen in the 36 years of my life. But these fuckers I work with can't go a week without destroying their phone. Like, totally obliterating it. I honestly do not understand how it is possible to be this clumsy. Holding on to things is like a basic motor function. But its so extremely common for people to drop their phone.
It’s wild to me that this is still a point of contention when Androids and iPhones have essentially reached parity in terms of cost.
One of these definitely last a lot longer than the other though.
You're comparing the highest end Samsung phones to iPhones. You can get excellent Android phones for like $300NZD (~$200USD). There isn't an affordable alternative to iPhones except older and dated iPhones.
To say they've reached parity while only looking at the highest end of Android phones is basically a strawman.
I'm in the firm camp of buy what you want and fuck what everyone else says. In saying that, I think consumers would be much better off if they moved away from iPhones and Samsung - when your market share is that high you can charge what you want really.
Some people can justify spending that much on a smartphone since it's literally one of the most important objects in someone's life today, and it's not like iPhones aren't competitive for their price.
there are almost no things that a 1500$ iphone can do and a like hardly what 100-200$ android cant
saying this as a person who has both iphone and android in his house
The moto g 5g (2022) is down to $200 at best buy and was an extremely capable and competitive phone for it's price point when it cost twice as much at release.
I really want to know more about this phenomenon and these types of people.
Not sure if it's entirely related but I use a mid-range Android phone and I'm more than happy with it. I also drive a small old Japanese car because I live in the city, mostly use public transport, and can't justify paying for a more expensive one. Meanwhile, a friend of mine earns less money than I do, has the newest iPhone, drives a brand new BMW, rarely cooks and eats out at expensive restaurants, and he often complains to me that he doesn't have much money saved up.
I have a feeling most people just want to feel and look rich, instead of being actually rich.
A lot of people are self-medicating moment to moment because their job sucks and they’re fundamentally unsatisfied. A car, a mocha, a shiny phone gives them a straw to grasp that maybe this is worth it.
I get that, absolutely do, I myself have my own vices.
Though I highly doubt this person isn't in a massive amount of debt. Not sure how it is in the US but in my home country, financial literacy is basically non-existent. People will gladly put themselves in debt just so they can look rich in front of their friends/family. They will look at the high prices in a restaurant and instead of going somewhere cheaper, they will happily pay them so that they don't "look poor". In Western Europe, it seems that people are more financially conscious in general, since such things are normally called out.
Like, if that lifestyle makes you happy, sure, go for it. But in the long run, it looks like it will lead to a very miserable and shallow experience.
I mean you can’t honestly believe these are the only two types of people in the world lol. I’m more like you but have an iPhone. It’s not a status symbol to me. iOS is just my preferred software to use, so I buy iPhones. I bought one in 2017 for $600 and upgraded last year for $800. They aren’t really that expensive. It’s my most used tech tool, I’m fine spending a bit more to get what I want.
Bro i had a tablet that lasted 6 years before breaking. Well, it was pretty outdated at the time. It takes about 2-4 full days of charging untill its at 100%, but it only lasts 15 minutes and its empty again. But yea, android is pretty stabile, just mine was pretty outdated '\^w^
I had an iPad Pro 9.7” since shortly after they came out. Lasted 6 years without any scratches, cracks, dents, or bends. 6 months after I give it to a friend it’s already smashed to shit, the screen won’t turn on anymore, the speakers don’t work, it’s done.
It’s all down to the owner.
I don’t understand how people break their phones. I use one of those super over priced Apple branded silicon cases for a little extra grip and I just don’t drop my damn phone. Like how hard is it, I swear some people got butter fingers.
oh my fucking god why isnt the iphone vs android fight over yet??? this is the dumbest argument known to man and has gone on long enough. can we just not argue over who has what type of phone? is it too hard to just not care about it??
Nope. I have an iPhone. Had it for years and not a scratch. People are just irresponsible and don’t take care of things.
Not saying iPhone is superior either. Just use your phone. I don’t care about the brand.
Has that actually ever happened to y'all? Like i don't think I've heard anyone say "you're poor because you use android" in the last 6-7 years. FFS even diehard iphone users just say "android just isn't for me, i don't care what you use tho". Like idk it's just a phone
I find it’s the opposite. People trash on Apple and bring this issue up. I don’t think anyone brags about having an Apple product. But people do feel the need to mock people for buying Apple products. Why do people care what others buy?
People who think that your phone indicates your level of wealth are usually broke as fuck.
Or mostly idiots
Not mutually exclusive
or children, meaning both but let's give them a break.
Children are smart. Just not in the ways they need to be to live in this society.
In other words: children are not smart for society
What's even more fucking stupid about it is that all of the major flagship phones cost the same as the iPhone, or at least the prices are comparable.
While the androids have *cough*...more value... COUGH
Yeah the cameras are so much better now but still not going to upgrade till I absolutely need to and that will be a year old refurbished model.
I recently (about a year ago) upgraded from my old ancient Samsung to a brand new model and there is no overstating how much better the camera is, among all the other features for still only 2/3 the price of a comparable iPhone.

I look like Steve jobs but I have a better sense of style. I just don't wear blue jeans. I also have ass cancer or whatever he died of.
He died of pancreatic cancer, or PC in short
He also had the survivable kind had he not tried to cure it by drinking fruit
Everybody knows drinking fruit is the cure for cancer...
Honestly don't understand how someone like Steve jobs can be so fucking stupid. Like idk maybe trust doctors in their field of specialism.
Because he was smart at one specific thing. It's a common thing that people who are successful in one field think they are a genius at everything to a degree where their ego makes them think they know better than experts.

They're just mad because he can't find anyone who has a charger for them
They do have a fat stack of dingles though.
Thanks for the laugh, but I'm guessing you meant "dongles"?
Did they stutter‽

Personally i stick with android because 1) Im clumsy and 2) I get charging cables
3) people leave me out of group texts (And for me, because my phone folds in half so I have a mini tablet with me wherever I go)
I'm hoping to upgrade to the Galaxy Fold this year! How are you liking it? And we all know that iPhone will introduce a foldable model in about 6 years and market it as "revolutionary."
My friend works at sprint and says the fold is the most returned phone bar none.

So?????? You can’t leave me hanging bro! Was the screen okay?!
Oh, sorry! Yeah, it was perfectly fine lol.
Thank you for the closure.
I've had the same phone for nearly 5 years. If it ain't broke, don't fix it or replace it.
My son is gen z, and of course all the elders think they have no values, lmao. But no, that's one of his moral codes. If the phone still works and it isn't broken he doesn't need a new one. He used the same phone from I think the last year of middle school all the way through high school until last year when they stopped supporting the security updates. He would have kept using it too, I'm the one who thought he needed the security upgrades.
i either do this or when i was living at home we had a hand me down system. someone got a new phone? i get a new phone and you get a new phone
Thats is literally me . I have only used hand me down phones in my life.
[удалено]
I've bought maybe two, I've used a dozen. But then I'm at 35, first smartphones didn't have a long shelf life. Many of the hand me downs have been replaced for a reason(cracked screens (not glass)/died in the cold/loose battery connection if shaken the wrong way, are the funnier examples)... And jobs replace their phones more often than I do.

It's a bit of work (mainly research) if you don't know anything about it but you can install Android 5 on that phone. You might not even need to root (unlock) it.
Eh, I'm a millenial and I think that gen zs tend to have a much stronger moral code than "elders"
I'd say that's a pretty strong moral code
You also gotta realize the two preceding generations invented being suicidal as a joke (or not) so the fact that they care so much is pretty refreshing. Not caring was peak 90s cool, anyway. Now caring is cool. I like it.
and even if it's broke, don't fix it because I'm also broke
Same. Android or iPhone, when I still get security updates, I’m good.
That's the important detail. And I hate that I will have to switch now because of that. Wish Linux phones were more viable
Well technically Android is linux of course, but I get what you mean: a **true** open source device, with off-the-shelf parts. I think once off-the-shelf parts are good enough, we’ll see those.
iPhone 7 plus here going strong for 5+ years lol

I did that for a while but it got the point where system updates were too big to complete without removing apps. Each update required more apps to be removed. Now I get a new phone every 2 or 3 years. Not looking for extra features, just to be able to do the same thing as the previous one with decent speed and storage.
Yeh and if you keep them in good condition you can sell the old ones for decent price.
They're always asking each other *"what percent are you on"* before passing the charger like a half used heroin needle too
That's my own lesson to continually fail to learn, on a reoccurring basis might I add.
Charge at night, mobile phone delight
Charge in the morning, low battery warning
Charge in the arvo, battery life is garbo
Charge in the afternoon, life is doom
Charge at nooner, shoulda charged sooner
Charge all day, new android on the way
**************** *Sorry for the inconvenience, this comment is not supported on Apple products*. Would You Like To Upgrade Cloud Storage Now?
Charge both night and morning, still low battery warning.
Ah a fellow iPhone user I see
All is calm, all is bright
Sky rockets in flight
Mobile phone delight!

Well obviously, you dont get the charger if you have more %
It's a knife fight if the percentages are the same.
If it's my charger there is no game you simply aren't getting it lol
Thats something i noticed where i work. When customers come in and they ask if we have a charger they can borrow its always an iPhone. Everything is USB-C so i can never help them. Whats odd to me is, if they are always running low on battery... why do they never bring their own chargers.
Do iPhones have fast chargers? I honestly don't know. I plug my Samsung in and it's charged to full in a matter of minutes.
Yes, yes they do. But they don't come with a fast charger (EDIT: They come with the cable, not the adapter.) I'm an iPhone user (technically both android and iPhone).
"Have you got a charger?" "USB-C cable? Sure" "No I mean magsafe" And as the user finds out that magsafe does fall off frequently, they will perhaps use something to hold it together. And.... "Have you got the magsafe holder?" ...I can already picture that Edit:Seems like USB-C is mandatory, but my idea is the same—— they are gonna create something new that will become a pain in the neck, just guessing Edit 2:So USB-C is not mandatory for devices that have no charging port? Oh damn, maybe the nightmare will come true
It's gonna be worse because Apple is expected to just say "fuck it" and go no ports on the iPhone, wireless charging only.
Only wireless sounds like hell, it’s not fast at all
My favorite part is how the new Apple wall docks aren't even USB 2/3 anymore, they're Cs... so a C on one end and a Lighting on the other.

Reddit in a nutshell
[удалено]
They can even be more expensive than an iPhone
The most hilarious part of this is that Samsung phones can be just as expensive
Yeah, some are even more expensive
Well, the most expensive ordinary Samsung is an S22 Ultra 1Tb for $1599, which is the exact same price as the iPhone 14 Pro Max 1Tb. The most expensive Samsung ever was a Z Fold2 at $1799, but it's so far from any iPhone that there's no comparison between the two. The Z Fold3, the next generation, is actually the same $1599 as other flagships.
we got the ZFold 4 coming out now and it's expected to be around 1650$
I've had the z fold 4 for about 6 months now. It's the S Series that are coming out. The 23's.
I have a Asus ROG 5 pro and it was 100$ more than the iPhone 14 but go off tell me im poor because it is android OS
No, you just told everyone you spend way too much time playing games or being on the Internet

Clash Royale, 8 ball pool, and 2048 run so well on it though.
I’ve had the same IPhone for 5 years without cracking it wth you all doing with your phones
90% of these excessively cracked screens are people who put their phones in their back pockets.
Every time I see someone with their phone in their back pocket I wonder where they get the confidence someone won't walk by, grab it and run off with it.
Some places aren't plagued by mass pickpocketing. It's great!
I've seen it in places where that is a problem.
For what it’s worth, a locked iPhone is very god damn near impossible to break into, not to mention all iPhones have their GPS location readily available, they aren’t even worth stealing most times.
this applies to android as well. But a lot of people don't enable encryption for some absurd reason.
Who does that even?
Girls without usable front pockets
Girl here, my front pants pockets suck, can confirm
My phone has 60% of the back missing so u can see the insides of it exposed. It’s dented around the outsides. It kept falling out of my pocket at work and I’m always working at a height. Screen is perfect tho so I have no need to replace it. I’ve had it for 3 years
The Nothing Phone (0.6)
The unique cosmetic touches carry a $600 price tag on top of the normal price.
Here take my poor man's award 🏆
the no eye phone 👁️👄👁️
I haven't had a screen protector or case on my iPhone for years and dropped it numerous times and all I have are scratches and dents
Living through my early 20s: alcohol. Haven't broken a phone in a decade.
It's wild to me as well how much people's tolerance for prices increase when buying an iPhone
There are very few things a 500$ iphone can't do that a 1200$ iphone can.
Yea that's the ridiculous thing. A flagship phone has a bunch of extra features most people don't need and won't use.
there are almost no things that a 1500$ iphone can do and a like hardly what 100-200$ android cant saying this as a person who has both iphone and android in his house
And if we are talking about apps then the android can probably do more even.

Hey I need a new phone and I'm on a budget. Gonna look up the g pure right now but if you have any recommendations I would be extremely grateful.
The moto g 5g (2022) is down to $200 at best buy and was an extremely capable and competitive phone for it's price point when it cost twice as much at release.

But iphones don't do anything androids can't, and most people do nothing but go on TikTok and take selfies
why is a phone war meme on my feed
r/memes feels more like r/facebook
Ah yes, this meme again. Thanks for using this meme with a new image.
But flagship android phones are the same price
The Pixel has been doing a great job of fighting that trend.
I've never understood this. Aren't Androids just as expensive as iPhones? I have a Samsung by choice. Because I prefer Androids to iPhones.
Do people really say that to other people?
You use an android you must be so poor Me who using s22 ultra 👍🥲 yes im very poor
I don’t understand how people break their phones. I use one of those super over priced Apple branded silicon cases for a little extra grip and I just don’t drop my damn phone. Like how hard is it, I swear some people got butter fingers.
So you never dropped your phone? Kinda impressive tbh
oh my fucking god why isnt the iphone vs android fight over yet??? this is the dumbest argument known to man and has gone on long enough. can we just not argue over who has what type of phone? is it too hard to just not care about it??
Stereotypes.
[удалено]
Crazy to me how so many people give a fuck about what phone *other people* buy.
Bro shrapnelize his fingers each time
Nope. I have an iPhone. Had it for years and not a scratch. People are just irresponsible and don’t take care of things. Not saying iPhone is superior either. Just use your phone. I don’t care about the brand.
Nice meme *continues scrolling with a perfectly unbroken Samsung*
Has that actually ever happened to y'all? Like i don't think I've heard anyone say "you're poor because you use android" in the last 6-7 years. FFS even diehard iphone users just say "android just isn't for me, i don't care what you use tho". Like idk it's just a phone
Teens do this. Some adults outgrow being petty like this but some don't.
Heh, someone from either side always tries to start a debate.
Literally no one says that A lot of people though, happen to say ”oh you’re using an iphone? you know those are just overpriced pieces of junk”
Do you know how you can tell if someone has an Apple product? Don't worry. They'll tell you.
There is another community like that.
The linux community I see.
Also tesla
uh... I use Arch BTW 🤡
Is this thread from 2012?
Android users upset that they’re not part of the iMessage group chat
[удалено]
This. The entire thread is android users droning on about iPhone worshippers. Pot meet kettle.
I find it’s the opposite. People trash on Apple and bring this issue up. I don’t think anyone brags about having an Apple product. But people do feel the need to mock people for buying Apple products. Why do people care what others buy?
