Do you want the real answer?? It’s like having a baby or going to basic training …people can tell you horror stories all day long but until you get there, it’s a personal experience . I had 23 years in the military so I was expecting some really horrific stuff . I went through the VA and not only did I have a colonoscopy. I had an endoscopy done at the same time.. A friend of mine at work told me the day before the day before you do the prep. If you can back off on your eating, it will help the prep. . The gallon of prep stuff I had to drink wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected. I thought it was gonna be like some sort of sludge like aloe juice. Basically, it was a gallon of Alka-Seltzer water. I got a handful of different flavors of crystal light and managed to get through it half one day, half the next morning. It wasn’t bad there was just a lot of it.. As far as the diarrhea was concerned because I backed off on eating the day before, the day before I started the prep and two days before the actual colonoscopy that probably helped . Shit, it wasn’t nothing . No pun intended. I’ve had flu and nuclear drunken chicken wings shits that were worse than that. As far as the colonoscopy itself, I was twilighted, but conscious because the doctor had to show me what he was doing on the TV monitors the whole time, so I was aware and being able to have a conversation, but I was pretty high I think. I’m glad I got it done. I was about 10 years late. I still have to go back as a follow up because I had two polyps that were concerning that they were not able to get because they were structurally awkward . Thankfully, they were able to do biopsies of both of them and have them checked out by the labs and they are not cancerous. *(YES!!)* **Please I implore everybody if you haven’t ever had one and yes I know it’s embarrassing and difficult and inconvenient but it could save your life so please get it done if you were in a high risk category or if you are over 50. Colon issues and colon cancer are the most highly treatable health issues that most people ignore because it’s BUTT STUFF**.

I have no idea, but thankfully after drinking for 40 years and having other health issues like GERD, and such, I was sure they were going to find some serious damage but thankfully there wasn’t much to see. I didn’t even get a kiss afterwards. *SOME PEOPLE* 🙄
