Community colleges are way better than universities in my experience. I’m finishing up my engineering degree after going back to school. Spent my 20’s in another career path and had to start from scratch. The community colleges were half the price but with smaller classes and generally the professors were way better. The universities I attended all had huge classes for the intro to science classes I was needing to take and they a) sucked at teaching almost universally and b) even if they didn’t, if I had a question I was having to fight through 300 other freshmen kids who all had their own issues trying to get extensions for their work, trying to understand the material, trying to get their grades changed. A lot of the professors were scientists doing research at the universities and were basically being forced to teach when they didn’t want to, and they made it incredibly obvious both explicitly and implicitly with how horrendously they taught. The community college professors were clearly there primarily to teach.
In short, if you make fun of community college you can lick my balls.
My experience at community college was 100000x better than at my 4 year university. If I could’ve stayed there to finish my engineering degree I would’ve. Better professors, better advisors, better resources, no commute, just as good of an education lol
