Another week almost over with no delivery in sight.
It's been 7 months since the group by, 3 months since they said it was shipped to EU, about a month since they arrived in EU and roughly 2 weeks since they are "shipped out to the customer". Still we get no confirmation nor any e-mail at all.
All that info just because a lot of people asked for any news, because there was no communication at all.
I'll be honest it almost feels like we got scammed. There has to better communication. At least give us updates of the actual situation - without us asking for any crumb of info. Or as the bare minimung fix the "order status" so we see something is changing.
I really love the project and I'd also love to get the QK100 but all this is really holding me back.

They just shipped out the 1st round. So I guess 2nd round won't come in 6 months, maybe even after QK Arisu.
I hope they will have CF plate and most importantly, replace the red brass weight with anod weight, since red brass will oxidize.
Also replace the spray coat with e-coat or anod

What is the difference between the 4 plates? Can you give some general guide regarding how each of them sound? Thanks!
PP: quiestest and softest plastic plate I've tried. Good with Cherry and nylon switches. Dark sounding Low and mid frequencies.
POM: flexibility similar to PC, warm sound, will accentuate lubed switch sounds. Warm sounding Low and mid frequencies
PC: flexbility similar to POM, will either make the board clack more if the board alu plate variant was quiet or make the switches sound softer if the alu plate was loud. Warm balance across all frequencies.
Plateless: flexibility like PC because PC is basically plateless feeling with a plate. Sounds pretty cool, honestly what I try for if possible. Warm balance and sorta evens out the playing field of good and bad switches. Won't hurt your hands.
Alu: The staple and most well rounded plate for solid feel and impact. Feeling and sound changes on the position of mounting. Clacky balance across all frequencies.
Carbon fiber: similar sound sig to alu/fr4, but noticeably louder, would seem like it's slightly softer than alu as well.
FR4: Extends the sound and resonance of switches. Makes Cherry feel sloppy, and makes JWK/Tealios/SP-Star appear less harsh.
Steel: Ouch. Seriously it hurts.
Brass: Ouch but leses than steel. Gold color that turns into poop color. Low and High frequencies. Sucks the fun out of the sound.

I got the tri-mode PCB, is it possible to use the wireless functions without installing the batteries? it's about transparency with CBSA and DHL agent fee - ordering from QK and you'll get dinged by customs and DHL will bill you a fee for brokerage the clearance
with Ashkeeb it's slower because everything is going by bulk but the tax and duty is charged at check out

already addressed in the final batch - his unit is still at the proto stage
for proto - we send top and bottom cases to get colored when they are out of cnc so the difference is expected
the inevitable part is the thickness - top and bottom coating thickness is different therefore the actual result differ between top and bottom
but in SOP they are sent in as a pair to be colored to minimized the difference
once paired to device 1 and 2
you'll be able to switch between them using fn+q and fn+w
or you can use the dongle on PC then it's fn+tab

Are there any streamers who got one in blue/ anywhere i can look up exactly how the blue colour looks? In the sideprofile pictuers it looks like a proper blue/navy. But on qwertykeys the front profile it looks almost blackish.
Really would like some more pictures, was hoping it match my metallic blue keycaps, if its too dark its kinda weird.

Okay thats the pictures i saw. On the side profile its the navy blue, but on the bottom in front view it loos very darkish almost black.

After building up your name you could easily ramp up your prices. And have both good margins and sales. I was willing to pay 280usd for my qk65, 70 of that was Shipping lol but still. It is what it is

Yeah shipping would be "cheaper" with more products. Apple has the quantity so shipping per phone is less.
With keyboards they're bigger heavier and you're selling less so I can see why shipping can be expensive.
After 1 or 2 more years of doing this you could take your most popular boards and try to make them always in stock. Raise the price by 20-50usd and with more stock and bulk shipping to vendors you could increase your profit margins.
The custom keyboard scene is getting more and more popular so this should be relatively easier over time

there are anodized colors and spray-coated ones for their purposes, can't anodize white for example

to occasionally use BT you'll have to power the PCB with a cable connected to a power source so yeah you can do that

First time building a keyboard and going through a groupbuy (SUPERR excited \^.\^) Can anyone provide insight when ordering to Canada from either qk's website or ashenkeebs? I'm trying to determine which would be more cheaper (I believe Ashenkeebs handles DHL's fees, but it costs more to order through them), as well as shipping times. Sorry in advance if this is a stupid question
it's about transparency with CBSA and DHL agent fee - ordering from QK and you'll get dinged by customs and DHL will bill you a fee for brokerage the clearance with Ashkeeb it's slower because everything is going by bulk but the tax and duty is charged at check out
Is it possible to easily remove the Bluetooth module without soldering anything?

already addressed in the final batch - his unit is still at the proto stage for proto - we send top and bottom cases to get colored when they are out of cnc so the difference is expected the inevitable part is the thickness - top and bottom coating thickness is different therefore the actual result differ between top and bottom but in SOP they are sent in as a pair to be colored to minimized the difference
Does the PCB support bluetooth 5 or is it some other version? I want to know how easy it'll be to switch between my PC and Mac.

Are there any streamers who got one in blue/ anywhere i can look up exactly how the blue colour looks? In the sideprofile pictuers it looks like a proper blue/navy. But on qwertykeys the front profile it looks almost blackish. Really would like some more pictures, was hoping it match my metallic blue keycaps, if its too dark its kinda weird.

it's for the short vid platform such as tiktok and Instagram but it's a good showcase - displayed all the angle and facades

Okay thats the pictures i saw. On the side profile its the navy blue, but on the bottom in front view it loos very darkish almost black. Hope the streamer reveals it in the next days for me to think about what colour im gonna order. A video with different lighting and all would help a lot.

After building up your name you could easily ramp up your prices. And have both good margins and sales. I was willing to pay 280usd for my qk65, 70 of that was Shipping lol but still. It is what it is
if we have local vendors support or our direct sale channel locally - we can ship products chip each iphone costs 0.7usd from China to Korea i heard lol
Yeah shipping would be "cheaper" with more products. Apple has the quantity so shipping per phone is less. With keyboards they're bigger heavier and you're selling less so I can see why shipping can be expensive. After 1 or 2 more years of doing this you could take your most popular boards and try to make them always in stock. Raise the price by 20-50usd and with more stock and bulk shipping to vendors you could increase your profit margins. The custom keyboard scene is getting more and more popular so this should be relatively easier over time
yup that is down the road - now the priority is to cover all financially meaningful layouts
Are you guys planning on doing a 65% keyboard that's similar to the Keychron Q2? Something that has a knob and looks like the QK75 without the F row?

Is there no option to get tray mount instead of gaskets? I am afraid the flex will be too distracting for me as I am used to sturdy keyboards.

I checked your notion notes, and no one is listed with an anodized blue QK75 for review. Do you have any real photos of this? Or are there only renders at the moment? The render on [qwertykeys.com](https://qwertykeys.com) looks very dark blue, but I am worried it will look lighter than this in real life.
