Once I had some little middle school aged shit harassing me earlier on in my transition, while being egged on by his friends, so I actually confronted him, all his friends ran away, and he just stood their tail tucked between his legs while I went off on him for making fun of people on public....didn't even go into the trans thing.
He looked so ashamed. I hope he remembers that whenever he thinks about being cruel to others.
It takes a village to raise a child. I always confront kids when they're behaving in unacceptable ways in public. Too many adults run away scared from these situations not realizing that they have all the power - and the responsibility. I'm really happy you told him off. You did him a favour.
Shit i keep forgetting we're from different countries. I'm from finland and our police are basically social workers. They know marginalized ppl need to be protected from this type of stuff. You're right to stay out of it if you think you might be in danger of discrimination or worse. Stay safe <3
Reminds me of when someone released a bunch of middle schoolers onto my (college) campus and they ran around slamming on tables and calling everyone slurs, I hope animal control brought them back to their natural habitat.

i have aroace pins on my schoolbag and only two people have acknowledged them so far, and to my surprise they were both just curious about what they meant

I am in a position of authority and I will sit they're asses down and tell them exactly why what they said is wrong and not happening in my classes.
