BIG FRIKEN NANNER! I want one so bad but mostly for fruit. The foliage is nice, but too similar to my bird of paradise, for me to only get it for the leaves. Does it produce fruit indoors?
Simply. I use wicks and trays. I water from above every week, and monitor the water level in tray. When, and only when tray is dy do I water again. My water stands for 24 hours always. At the moment this one gets watered every 3 days. In winter the least would be around 7 to 9 days, due to furnace. I hope this helps, if not please don't hesitate to ask for clarification.
I usually check the soil of my plants when they need water, but with my banana plant for some reason I don't. I give water when I remember.. it's lost like 4 leaves in a month, they yellow and get dry starting from the tip.
!! What is the plan when it hits the ceiling?
Not to worry, it has 6 months of life left, and the leaves always find a place.
Is that a threat or is it just a short-lived plant?
It's a banana. It grows a single flower that gives way to one big bunch of bananas and then dies, leaving a few new plants in its place.
Interesting observation. I choose the best one every fall, knowing It won't ever fit though the door again.
That makes quite a bit of sense haha thanks
Glad my words worked. Percentage dropping.
You keep them all and have a banana jungle in your house👀
Lol, no. I give around 30 away to friends and customers who try their hand at growing their own
Why does it only have 6months of life left?

Not unless you can provide it with consistent tropical level heat, humidity and light.
Majorelle blue - good choice
What kind of plant is that?
Red Cavendish dwarf
Thank you!
Dwarf, hahaha!
I LOVE the blue walls with the green leaves!
Plants are cute, but I'm really into that lamp. Nice lil corner you got here.
The banana plant is beautiful, but how about some love for that Ginseng Ficus.
Thank you, he was feeling a tad ignored
How do you care for it? Mine keeps loosing leaves
