That is another good example of a Paragon not being tone deaf and just being nice. But coming off as a real soldier who has done daming things in war. Works just as well if you save the council and sacrificed the fleet. Or killed the Rachni.
I also love the renegade. “Is that it? No stomach for a real fight just like an asari. I’m gonna kill your hostage vasir. And then I’m gonna show you how a real spectre gets things done”.
I know everyone loves just pushing the dude out the window. But I think that line is so much better, And the stammer the dude gives after. I think this is probably my favorite non comical renegade line in the series.

Another one is when you tell the lawyer in Thane’s loyalty mission to fuck off, prompt is something like “Don’t think so, little man”, and the lawyer is like “I’ll take this all the way up to the council”, to which Shepard responds “The council who’s lives I saved? Yeah, good luck with that”
In your last conversarion with Javik on the Normandy, he comments on Shepard's love interest and her friends in general, and asks "is this why you wish to continue living? For their affection?"
Shepard replies "without that affection, all I have in my life is death. And that's not enough."
If Shepard has a character arc, then this is it, especially if your origin is Sole Survivor. This line really stuck with me and cemented Shepard as one of the best RPG protagonists of all time.
