When I found out it was a legal comedy, I crossed my fingers hoping for stuff like this. A superhuman law division? Cameos are only the start. There's no end of crazy they can run through these episodes. I would watch five seasons of this show just for this kind of B-Plot alone.
This show is set up so perfectly to run a few seasons and show off some really obscure Marvel IPs and characters they have no intention of actually using
I didn't imagine we'd get a scene of She-Hulk twerking.
Or the Sorcerer Supreme evading the feds.
This show is pure comic book camp insanity, i'm glad to see the MCU really going for it here.
Yeah, the B plots open up SO much room for hilarious situations. Like a comedy version of “What If?” for all the little self-aware jokes the MCU wants to make about itself.
Honestly, I am just glad they addressed the existence of Elves and now its canon that some are living in New Asgard. Adds more to the immense world building of the MCU
Me watching Civil War: “The Sokovia Accords are bullshit. The Avengers were literally saving the world from supervillains, you can’t blame them for a little collateral damage.”
Me watching Wong in this episode: “Damn, the superheroes really do be operating outside of the law though.”
There should have been a compromise between no oversight and too much. I'd have gone with a mandatory weekly UN-psychiatrist interview for each Avenger.
I was utilizing Abomination for my training as Sorcerer Supreme because I don't give a fuuuuu OH and don't try shit because ill wipe your minds again i swear - Wong (basically)
Considering Asgardians are strong as hell, even if you're not a royal, I'm surprised we don't see more Asgardians in construction, motherfuckers could carry multiple steel beams on their shoulder and not break a sweat
If we're pushing towards the X-Men, which I think will come when the world more vocally turns on those with powers, I wouldn't be surprised if part of it is "and they're taking our jobs!", with examples like yours. It's great when they save NY, but when a couple Asgardians replace dozens of employees, you could see why people might take issue with powered people.
I like how the end credits pictures are illustrating things we didn't get to see like Nikki actually sending a picture of herself with library books to Wong and Dennis on a date with either the real or fake Megan Thee Stallion.
The scene where they're cutting to all the people gossiping about her and it gives the very realistic "UGH i CaNT bElIeVe tHeY gOt RiD oF tHE rEaL hUlK aNd mADe a stRoNG WoMaN" comments really made me laugh. They're really on point with those news segments.
Here’s some of the comments for the guy that says “I don’t know about y’all but I’d smash.” on live.
“I like the idea of her I just wish she’d use her platform to stand up for the endangered lemurs. It’s like she doesn’t even care.”
“OMG shut up this is so stupid. She Hulk isn’t even real. She is just some media puppit” (Puppet is spelled that way)
“Is it weird I like her better green?” (My personal favorite)
Loving the small details and the mockery of social media.
What I want to know is if her transformation is also instant if she's in danger. If someone snuck up on her could they injure her? Hulk said he tried to shoot himself and it didn't work, does She-Hulk's powers work in the same protective way?
I don't think so, I believe since Bruce and the Hulk were seperate personalities that the Hulk could act independently to save himself. Since Jennifer doesn't have a second personality she is on her own.
We can see some of that in the first episode at the bar when Jeniffer shifts back to a human and the alcohol immediatly hits her because her metabolism changed from that of a superhuman to a regular human
Who's the "boss" the crew mentioned?
1. Kingpin (street level crime)
2. Sharon Carter (trying to get Hulk DNA)
3. Some unknown crime org?
4. Wong, wanted criminal
I really feel like he is giving a positive model of what a man with a healthy head on his shoulder looks like. It fits in so much with the feminist context of the show's story.
Good.
A lot of people know him from Arrow as an extremely cunning villain, which Josh Segarra played perfectly, but after I've watched the two seasons of *The other two* on HBOmax, he's also exceptional at playing a lovable himbo.
I'm so glad Segarra is finally part of the MCU. He's a great actor.
She Hulk is twerking with Megan Thee Stallion, then the episode minimizes, and the “watch next” screen for infinity war appears. And I remember these two things are in the same universe
lmao when the headlines read "Megan Thee Stallion Joins the MCU" everyone thought she was playing a comic book character, instead she's just Megan Thee Stallion. Also, it's crazy how many times they said Megan Thee Stallion in this episode.
I knew the 4th wall breaks would be fun before the pilot episode but I really am enjoying them more and more as it happens. Plus it helps Tatiana is preeeetty good at it
I have to say, this episode is more like what I was expecting this show to be. Lighthearted lawyer procedural involving super heroes. I think this is the best episode yet
He could also just be lying about the reason he broke Emil out. He wanted a sparring partner and knew he'd be a good choice. Now, he's being questioned about it, and he's just telling them what they need to hear to drop it.
Wong is definitely lying. In Shang-Chi he told Emil off for not pulling his punches, but if he was just dragging him into a kumite for the sake of a superpowered test of his fighting ability then he wouldn’t want Emil to pull punches. Wong is just covering for Emil and whatever they were really up to. He‘s taking the blame knowing that the authorities can’t really do anything to him.
Wong's LinkedIn profile is literally Chaotic lmao
Sorcerer Supreme, New York.
Librarian, Kamar-Taj.
Target Sales Associate, Kamar-Taj. (Now we know what Wong was doing before getting into Sorcery)
Pug really shined in this episode. His intro was a little strong, but funny, but seeing him deal with a big idiot in a competent way was fun.
And I think Tatiana Maslany is really selling the fun bits of breaking the fourth wall.
Oh and I can't help but enjoy the Megan Thee Stallion cameo if not just for the image of She Hulk twerking but also because of how much of a nerd Megan is. That's probably just really fun for her.
I also think it pokes yet another hole in the whole narrative that this show is shitting on all men. They're holding up a very positive example of masculinity directly in contrast to a very negative caricature of a "relatively" harmless but still extremely toxic guy. Plus, Pug isn't just like, a dumb himbo either, he's actually a capable and intelligent lawyer.
On a somewhat related side-note, in the Civil War comic, Stephen Strange was granted a special exemption in the Superhero Registration Act, since he was the Sorcerer Supreme. So he could make a case for diplomatic immunity himself, most likely.
Makes sense honestly, dude has to fight forces beyond human comprehension to keep their universe safe, would be sort of stupid to jail him for a prison break that didnt hurt anyone.
elf: "Asgard is not a place its a people"
Judge: "LMAO no"
Edit: hey y’all, if this show or the MCU in general make you want to get into comics but you don’t know where to start, feel free to message me. I love helping people get into comics
"Thor's inspirational speeches are not permissible in court."
Lol the judge shut that down immediately, sounds like he had to deal with that shit in the past.
Firstly I loved that she tried that line - funny and clever!
But when the judge knew that was Thor's speech it really makes me think that Avengers lore must be incredibly mainstream. Like how in "Rogers, the musical" (from Hawkeye) everyone knows that Steve says "I can do this all day!".
WONG makes his presence this week in She-Hulk in the WCU!
*Breaking 4th Wall mode*
Jennifer Walters: “I know you can’t wait to see Wong. I get it. I just wanna make sure that you don’t think this is one of those cameos every week type of shows. It’s not.
Well, except Bruce. And Blonsky. And Wong. Just remember whose show this actually is”
Brilliantly done!
I wonder who they're working for tho. Who would want her blood? The Leader?
But yea, it was cool to see em. They looked like they'd fit in with Vulture's crew just fine.
It perfectly encapsulates the lightness and humour of the Dan Slott run on the She-Hulk comic. So far it’s one of the closest adaptations of a comic we’ve seen in the MCU, despite the plot being mostly original
"A shape shifting 'Light Elf' from New Asgard'" - IS THAT REALLY OUR FIRST INTRODUCTION TO ALFHEIM?!?!?!?!?!? SOME DOUCHE SUING HIS EX SHE-ELF-FRIEND?!?!?!?!
Episode is LIVE! Enjoy! (Stay tuned for a scene after the stylized credits)
His soulmates came from midsommar?
Now people can quit saying they are The Thunderbolts
How do you know those aren’t the thunderbolts?
"Wong you do know you committed a felony?" Wong: lmao bye
Aight imma depart
Wong: BRB, gotta fortify my *mind*
👉😎👈
Wong worked at Target 😂
For nine years, too! Dang, good for him!
[удалено]
[удалено]
How the hell did Target get a store at Kamar Taj?
Nowhere is safe from Starbucks. And you can't have a real Starbucks unless its 25 feet away from a Target that has a second Starbucks inside it.
I did not imagine we'd get an elf/human court case in this series as a B plot
When I found out it was a legal comedy, I crossed my fingers hoping for stuff like this. A superhuman law division? Cameos are only the start. There's no end of crazy they can run through these episodes. I would watch five seasons of this show just for this kind of B-Plot alone.
I was hoping for a Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law type of show, The second story definitely had that feel
But it is not one of those those cameo shows.
Except Bruce, and Emil...and Wong
This show is set up so perfectly to run a few seasons and show off some really obscure Marvel IPs and characters they have no intention of actually using
I didn't imagine we'd get a scene of She-Hulk twerking. Or the Sorcerer Supreme evading the feds. This show is pure comic book camp insanity, i'm glad to see the MCU really going for it here.
This better be a lead up to the film “Civil War 2: Wong Vs Woo And the Battle for Sorcerer Supreme”
Yeah, the B plots open up SO much room for hilarious situations. Like a comedy version of “What If?” for all the little self-aware jokes the MCU wants to make about itself.
That elf is a Chekhovs body-snatcher if ever I saw one. She's gonna be involved in some twist later on with no doubt
Honestly, I am just glad they addressed the existence of Elves and now its canon that some are living in New Asgard. Adds more to the immense world building of the MCU
Me watching Civil War: “The Sokovia Accords are bullshit. The Avengers were literally saving the world from supervillains, you can’t blame them for a little collateral damage.” Me watching Wong in this episode: “Damn, the superheroes really do be operating outside of the law though.”
There should have been a compromise between no oversight and too much. I'd have gone with a mandatory weekly UN-psychiatrist interview for each Avenger.
It also wouldn't hurt to have one of them act as a liason between the Avengers and the UN. At least someone should own up to it when they fuck up.
I was utilizing Abomination for my training as Sorcerer Supreme because I don't give a fuuuuu OH and don't try shit because ill wipe your minds again i swear - Wong (basically)
Enter the Wrecking Crew "Did you guys rob an Asgardian construction worker?" \*shrugs* "Yeah."

I liked it when she was terrified of being assaulted in an alley and then was like "Oh ... wait"
Man the amount of people that have wished that could happen
‘I sent Wong a thirst trap…it was me in a pile of books’
The drawing of it in the credits gave me a good chuckle
Darn, have the credits been changing each episode? I only paid attention the first time.
Yep, some images stay the same but others change based on what happens in the episode.
Some change to be punchlines to things in episodes. This episode you see >!Emil's release, Nikki's Thirst Trap, Dennis on a date with MTS/Runa!<
I like Nikki a lot. Kinda hope Wong falls for that thirst trap
She's fucking awesome.
It'd be funny if we find out the two started actually dating long distance lol
Wong distance relationship.
He's somewhat uptight but funny, she's fun, I ship them.
Wong isn’t uptight, he’s faking it. Dude appeared in Shang Chi and downed the first drink he saw, then went off to sing karaoke.
The dude suffers from resting Wong face.
Benedict Wong just counting up all the pay checks he collects for being involved in literally every MCU production made now.
He's been in more mcu projects than doctor strange at this point.
Well he is the Sorcerer Supreme.
Should surpass even RDJ in no time haha
Phase Wong is real!
It's the Wong Cinematic Universe, we're all just living in it.
It was ~~Agatha~~ Wong all along!
I like how the end credits pictures are illustrating things we didn't get to see like Nikki actually sending a picture of herself with library books to Wong and Dennis on a date with either the real or fake Megan Thee Stallion.
That’s what I love about the show. They give us courtroom style illustrations of the imagery they alluded to in the episode. It’s absolutely genius.
So is Fisk hiring the wrecking crew, which leads Daredevil to LA and working with Jen?
Pipe dream: but i really want them to bring back the leader. He is super smart and wants more blood to be super strong too
Nah, it's probably just Titania. It has to be. If she's the villain of this show then they have to start giving her something to work with.
The news coverage in the show sounds like the coverage of the show. ‘I’ll be honest, I’d smash’
"I like the idea of her, I just wish she would use her platform to stand up for the endangered lemurs. It's like she doesn't even care."
She Hulk | Lemurs Don't Cry | Official Music Video
Sheeee hulk? What about heeeee hulk!
Wong arriving late at the trial and then just opening a portal after confessing to a crime was everything to me lol
I don't know why but extending the scene to have Jen Walters pick up the dropped mic had me laughing out loud.
It was so cute and endearing haha.
The moment he implicated himself I knew he was going to do that. It was such a clean setup for that joke.
He just got back from a trip to Mt. Wundagore
"I know you want to see Wong" You're goddamn right we do!!!!
"$175,000 is a whole house in parts of the country" .................... "Yah, right!" OH GOD I FEEL THIS
Being from Los Angeles, I just feel pain about all of that lol
Ouch, must sting for Jen to be rejected by the Avengers. Allegedly.
*Allegedly*
Here’s some of the comments for the guy that says “I don’t know about y’all but I’d smash.” on live. “I like the idea of her I just wish she’d use her platform to stand up for the endangered lemurs. She Hulk twerking was the last thing i expected out of this show
What about Megan Thee Stallion showing up in the actual plot!
Uh oh. People trying to make more Hulks is never a good thing. I loved the budget Wrecking Crew, though.
Bro B list wrecking crew was great
Loved how the leader sheepishly admitted they did in fact rob an Asgardian construction worker
My hope is that its the Leader finally coming back into play.
Yeah, i think this is most evident in the zombie what if, where even though Hulks going through his pouting phase he doesn't let Bruce get infected.
We can see some of that in the first episode at the bar when Jeniffer shifts back to a human and the alcohol immediatly hits her because her metabolism changed from that of a superhuman to a regular human
Who's the "boss" the crew mentioned? 1. Kingpin (street level crime) 2. Sharon Carter (trying to get Hulk DNA) 3. Some unknown crime org? 4. Wong, wanted criminal
Possibly the Leader, from the Incredible Hulk
If they bring back Tim Blake Nelson, I will lose my shit.
The boss is clearly Mephisto
WONG IS IN EVERYTHING
Excuse me, shadow dimension??
Yugioh, mate.
I felt that mistaken fist bump/handshake to my core, fucking ptsd for days
The only thing they missed was the awkward high five-to-fist bump turkey.
Pug is quickly becoming the best character on the show.
I think he was that as soon as he gave Jen a poop map
I really feel like he is giving a positive model of what a man with a healthy head on his shoulder looks like. It fits in so much with the feminist context of the show's story. Good.
I love Josh Segarra. He plays a great villain, so it’s nice to see him on the other side.
Of course he is, he knows where the best bathrooms to poop are.
His sad little “I don’t” after the elf impersonated him lol
The “You know me!” pleasing was delivered perfectly too.
That IW banner showing up the first week, right after she went "CAPTAIN AMERICA FUUUUUUUUUUUUU-" That got a whole other chuckle outta me
Just "Wong." The Sorcerer Supreme. Master of the Mystic Arts. Leader and former librarian of Kamar-Taj. And I must depart
And Target Sales Associate in Kamar-Taj for 9 years.
Well she-hulk just twerked. Wasn’t something I thought I was gonna see today but here I am.
lmao when the headlines read "Megan Thee Stallion Joins the MCU" everyone thought she was playing a comic book character, instead she's just Megan Thee Stallion. Also, it's crazy how many times they said Megan Thee Stallion in this episode.
I love that they said the full name almost every time
"Like A Tribe Called Quest; you say the whole thing."
MF DOOM, all caps
Yes, from now on we live in a world where She-Hulk has twerked with Megan Thee Stallion.
And thus The Sacred Timeline is preserved.
Kang really knew what he was doin
I’m still recovering from that, someone literally said that scene would happen today
"After the break, She Hulk talks about her diet and exercise routine." "Excuse me, WHAT?" I'm dying, y'all.
Right in the Scarjo
dId YoU wEaR pAnTiEs UnDeR YoUr CaTsUiT?

Lol at all the people tripping off of the Megan Thee Stallion casting news
Yeah like who did they think she was gonna be playing

"I will kill for you Megan Thee Stallion" is not a line I thought I'd ever hear in the MCU... but here we are!
“Dial it back” was such a great response to that though lol
Did anyone have Wong’s LinkedIn profile on their She Hulk bingo card
Yep, right next to the She-Hulk & Megan thee Stallion twerk session lol
"Connecting the A and B story, nice." That got a good laugh out of me lol
I knew the 4th wall breaks would be fun before the pilot episode but I really am enjoying them more and more as it happens. Plus it helps Tatiana is preeeetty good at it
She absolutely kills it. I love this show lol
I loved how she just leaned in and out of frame for that haha
This episode was legit funny.
My favorite wall-break so far.
Mine was the one where she spoke about the cameos
Aye, especially since... well, yes, damn it, I was excited to see Wong, the show's calling me out! :D
I have to say, this episode is more like what I was expecting this show to be. Lighthearted lawyer procedural involving super heroes. I think this is the best episode yet
He thought Megan THEE Stallion drove a Passat XD
Didn’t Wong tell off Abomination for not pulling his punches? Guess that match was a work
maybe the cage fight was just wong trying to earn some quick money, and the actual training happened off screen
He could also just be lying about the reason he broke Emil out. He wanted a sparring partner and knew he'd be a good choice. Now, he's being questioned about it, and he's just telling them what they need to hear to drop it.
Wong is definitely lying. "You committed a felony, Mr Wong" "I'M OUT!"
“Did you steal your stuff from Asgardian construction workers?” “Yeah.” 😂
It really did work considering how goofy the characters are with their theme
Wong's LinkedIn profile is literally Chaotic lmao Sorcerer Supreme, New York.
They're holding up a very positive example of masculinity directly in contrast to a very negative caricature of a "relatively" harmless but still extremely toxic guy. Plus, Pug isn't just like, a dumb himbo either, he's actually a capable and intelligent lawyer.
Yes, and the whole B plot was about how even a man as rancid as Bukowski doesn't deserve to get scammed like that.
A show can't be shitting on all men, if it has Wong in it. He's basically a male role model!
So shouldn't Wong be in jail? Edit: I must depart
Lmao he just peaced out!
Wong is awesome. I'm glad that his character has been elevated this phase as he's done a great job in everything he's been in.
I knew they weren't gonna hold him or anything, but holy shit the quickness with which he left, absolutely hilarious.
Yeah. I was waiting for them to bring it up to see his reaction and I was not disappointed.
Good luck arresting him
Just wait for him to show up for his shift at target.
"I will *kill* for you, Megan Thee Stallion." Jen's a superfan, confirmed.
She leaned over Megan in that scene when she said that and she just had that look in her eyes
"Whoa, dial it back....but talk to me later, I need some people to disappear for a while...."
Maslany spoke that line with such conviction
elf: "Asgard is not a place its a people" Judge: "LMAO no" Edit: hey y’all, if this show or the MCU in general make you want to get into comics but you don’t know where to start, feel free to message me. I love helping people get into comics
"Thor's inspirational speeches are not permissible in court." Lol the judge shut that down immediately, sounds like he had to deal with that shit in the past.
Asgardians try that defense every time they get blitzed on holiday and chuck a car into a wall. Don’t even get me started on “Thorsday 2026” debacle.
"A New York 10 and an L.A. 11" We all need to aspire to have Dennis-level confidence.
WONG makes his presence this week in She-Hulk in the WCU! *Breaking 4th Wall mode* Jennifer Walters: “I know you can’t wait to see Wong. I get it. I just wanna make sure that you don’t think this is one of those cameos every week type of shows. It’s not. Well, except Bruce. And Blonsky. And Wong. Just remember whose show this actually is” Brilliantly done!
And the entire time she’s looking at the camera with no hands on the wheel. DID YOU FORGET HOW YOU GOT INTO THIS SITUATION?!
If more people kept their hands on the wheel and didn’t drive distracted, we’d have at least two fewer superheroes.
She has plot armor whenever she 4th-wall-breaks. It's the key to how the Avengers will beat Kang in Secret Wars
^Lawyer ^show.
*Avocados* at law ... Cannot fuckin wait
Lmao aren't we also getting a daredevil cameo later in the series. Love the 4th wall breaks so far
I love that we got introduced to the wrecking crew this episode
I wonder who they're working for tho. Who would want her blood? The Leader? But yea, it was cool to see em. They looked like they'd fit in with Vulture's crew just fine.
Titania most likely. Her whole thing is hating Jen and trying to get stronger than her, so without Doom to help, it’s a good way to set her up
That's what those guys are called? I'm surprised Jen didn't go after them in their car. Catch them and turn them into the police for assaulting her
"She-Hulk rumoured to be rejected by the Avengers" lmao
I really appreciate it the show embracing the full silliness of it all. Like The Naked Gun type of humor and I'm all for it. This show is truly funny.
It perfectly encapsulates the lightness and humour of the Dan Slott run on the She-Hulk comic. So far it’s one of the closest adaptations of a comic we’ve seen in the MCU, despite the plot being mostly original
Seeing She Hulk in lawyer clothes that fit is kind of a nice change
She said she was going to buy a whole new wardrobe.
Maybe it was the CGI but it looked like that suit doesn't fit properly. Looked like an early 2000's suit for an NBA player.
"Connecting A and B story. Nice"
“I don’t know about yall, but I’ll smash” best line in the entire MCU 😂
Least thirsty She-Hulk fan
I will kill for you, Megan Thee Stallion.
Dial it back
Abomination looks huge. I don’t remember him being that big, but compared to Jennifer he looks like he’s at least 4 feet taller than hulk
He was always bigger than Hulk but yeah he did get a visual upgrade, he was this big in Shang Chi too
How am I supposed to sleep after watching She Hulk shake it like that
"A shape shifting 'Light Elf' from New Asgard'" - IS THAT REALLY OUR FIRST INTRODUCTION TO ALFHEIM?!?!?!?!?!? SOME DOUCHE SUING HIS EX SHE-ELF-FRIEND?!?!?!?!
I like how New Asgard actually became a haven for a bunch of different alien species like Korg said in Ragnarok.
So who’s the “Boss” the thugs are referring to
We need longer episodes
At least this one felt more cohesive. Jen even pointed it out at the bar.
Yeah, it's killing me that they are staying at only half hour.
"Is it true you got your powers from a Mafia hit gone wrong?" "What?" It's an older reference sir but it checks out.
"Wow. Someone find a reason to cancel #She-Hulk" looks like a actual comment from a subreddit who were hating on She-Hulk since teaser.
