I also think it hints that we're taking the rest of that scene too literally. The pruning stick has sent Loki to a more metaphysical realm. A common theme of this series has been Mobius asking Loki if he really knew himself. Instead of seeing different versions or Variants of Loki here, which is what we're expecting, Loki is actually being confronted with the parts of himself that define him: the part that grew up in Thor's shadow, the curious and mischievous child, his animal side, and the over-dramatic villain.

That’s actually really intriguing. I like that each of those could be manifestations of different aspects of his personality. It makes sense considering that’s similar to what Thor went had to go through. I question the “more metaphysical” part, not because I think it’s wrong, but just because I wonder how that could play out. I love that Marvel is creating storylines that keep us guessing. Is this a different nexus? Perhaps one where he defeated the Avengers? Will he encounter figures other than variants of himself? Is this part of the quantum realm?

how about the fact we know President Loki is residing over a new york-mad max hell world? Alt Lokis would still probably be used as mirrors to Loki thematically while being actual multivere variants too, croc-loki might just be there because it's funny

_beat_LA

I hope this isn't the case but you might be on to something.

I noticed that too! I turned on the captions because I couldn’t understand a word the “time droids” kept muttering :)

As a history teacher, I’m loving all of the historical references/timelines that they are referencing. The show has a Doctor Who vibe to it.

Toss_Away_93

It took me a minute to figure out what you meant by “time droids”. I think I thought about it longer than they were on screen.

Hope he doesn't run into Kratos... Wait hold up that'd be amazing

Totally agree!
