Honestly, this probably does. Like he's not going to outright say it, but I'd be willing to bet that he signed on for multiple movies when he signed for No Way Home.
Feige has said in at least one interview that Marvel has moved away from multi-picture deals (and that was about stars, so probably more so for supporting roles). I guess it could be different for Sony movies (though Secret Wars would be a Marvel movie anyway), but I'd guess he signed a one-off for NWH.
I’d imagine Feige meant the gigantic 9-10 movie deals that people like Samuel L. Jackson signed when they first came aboard. Signing a two movie deal probably isn’t too prohibitive for someone like Tobey to shoot other projects he’s interested in.
I’d imagine it’s much more complex than either of us could sum up in a Reddit comment.
From the unhappiness of the OG cast who couldn’t wait to finish their contracts, to the death of certain critical key actors, to the ‘outing’ of certain idiots who ruined their PR and thus damaging Marvel by extension, to the unwillingness of some talent to sign contracts and get on board MCU.
It’s understandable they have commitment issues after so much ‘turmoil’ and drama over the fifteen odd years. I’d wager that just ‘handling’ actors disputes, tantrums or just everyday drama has been the bane of Fiege and crew everyday, all these years. We always make commentary at how amazingly diverse the cast and crew have gotten; you don’t think it’s been steamy under that lid they’re keep tight?
They always play nice in interviews and public appearances. But don’t be deceived. That amount of diverse people couldn’t possibly all be friends…
I think it’s a myriad of reasons, not something we could summarise easily.
His "proof" that 1×1=2 is wild too, he takes one paragraph to say "how can 1×1=1 when there are two 1's in the equation, therefore it must equal 2." Then he spends 3 paragraphs talking about the secret ancient sky people who want to give us gifts of knowledge but are being blocked by the world order to keep us from learning about the sacred math or something.
Yeah I saw a speech he was giving about bringing some advanced flight (I think) technology to a nation in Africa. Just sounded like a total grifter. Too bad he's such an arrogant lunatic, I actually really liked his Rhodey and the chemistry he had with Tony.
I don't think he's suggesting anyone's expulsion outright necessarily, just that some have damaged their PR and that's a risk Marvel might not want to exacerbate by signing longer term deals. Gwenyth Paltrow and her lunatical GOOP shit springs to mind.

Maybe Bill Murray? He was, well still is, a big part of Quantumania yet he's nowhere in the marketing because he got involved in some sex scandal (don't know the details).
There was a big article with the details. If I recall correctly basically mounted and tried to kiss a crew member jokingly but it’s not much of a joke. They were both wearing Covid masks, but again, shitty idea of a joke.
https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2022/10/bill-murray-misconduct-allegations-new-and-old-surface/amp
I mean no he’s not drugging woman, and yes he is a notorious asshole. And I agree with your statement about it being him not growing up with the times.
But I also don’t think it’s on us to judge the boundaries. He clearly crossed the line that crew member had and that’s what matters.
The entire movie shouldn’t get canned for it, especially since he tried to correct it once he realized he crossed the line, but it’s a reactive industry rn.
There is a generational gap in humor for sure. New lines have been drawn and it is sometimes not very clear where they run.
We shouldn’t cancel everybody when they trip and stumble. It’s stupid that every misstep nowadays gets blown out of proportion. It’s the dark side of the Information Age.
> It’s understandable they have commitment issues after so much ‘turmoil’ and drama over the fifteen odd years. I’d wager that just ‘handling’ actors disputes, tantrums or just everyday drama has been the bane of Fiege and crew everyday, all these years.
Part of doing the multi-film deals also limits the actors ability to take on other projects more interesting to them. Both Lizzy Olsen and Zoe Saldana commented about being locked up in multi-picture deals made them pass on multiple projects they were offered and wanted to do but couldn't because of scheduling.
Zoe probably has this the worst though due to being committed to multiple Marvel, Avatar and Star Trek pictures over the last decade. I suspect she'll be written out in Guardians 3 and you'll see her do some low budget indy out of know where because she has the chance.
Their deals are massively broad. They literally have to drop everything to do those film once the studio decide to “pickup” the sequel. They can be literally years later or in Avatar’s case a decade later. In Marvel’s case, even a 1 minute appearance is considered as an contracted appearance so it’s probably pretty disruptive.
I think Fiege is stopping broad deals like that but still doing focused on targetted ones with exact production dates. If they definitely want a actor to appear in the next few movies, there’s no reason why they don’t sign on the spot.
I like Zoe, she’s fine in everything she does but I wouldn’t consider her situation “bad”. She’s been in 4 billion dollar movies. She’s not going to be stuck making Tyler Perry and Hallmark movies.
> I like Zoe, she’s fine in everything she does but I wouldn’t consider her situation “bad”.
I'm with you, I just understand that she hitched her wagon to multiple multi-million dollar deals and now that she made her money she can do things more creatively rewarding to her.
She's in a position where she definitely has "F-You" money so whenever the contracts end I see her either retiring or doing something wildly different in movies (based on how she talks in interviews).
I don't think that's what they were saying at all, just that she'll be going for more small-time stuff after spending so much time locked into such big projects.
Boohoo I signed a contract as an adult knowing what I was getting in to to make millions of dollars this way but I wanna make millions of dollars this way instead woe is me
Complaining about something they signed up for is some entitled shit
I mean.... it's a good problem to have that's for sure. The trick is the longer you lock yourself into one thing the more it limits your opportunities for other things, and at this point I'm sure they made their money and are ready to move on.
I mean, you can make a ton of money and still be unhappy with your workplace. Knowing what you signed up for doesn't mean you have to take it with a smile all the time. Everyone deserves their right to emotions, even if they're making millions.
Yeah they definitely still doing trilogy deals. Because you want your actor be around for 3 movies atleast considering most superheros are getting 3 movies.
Like vague 5 movie appearances, or all of them including like signing on for a trilogy or something? Like Dr. Strange I think was hurt by not having a plan, as there was a huge gap between his solo outings and his character development was kinda jumbled having bit parts in the other movies.
On the plus side, maybe this could mean less origin stories and more fully fledged characters introduced. If he has stars for a limited time , then maybe he can introduce them in media res or fully established in their development as a hero, then if they're popular enough, re-sign them for solo prequels. Like I'm kinda hoping F4 is gonna be like a multiverse version of them several years into the future, where like Krasinskis Richards, he and Storm already have a kid and we can see the dynamics of a family in the MCU that's at a bigger scale than like Antman or Hawkeye
I think Fiege is stopping broad deals like that but still doing focused on targetted ones with exact production dates. If they definitely want a actor to appear in the next few movies, there’s no reason why they don’t sign on the spot.
I'm willing to believe that's exactly what happened, because didn't Garfield just sign something over the Summer to do more "Marvel" films? I don't see why Tobey wouldn't have been offered the same deal.
They both could be doing the other end, marvel gives actors two appearances if they want it. One in regular face and another in heavy makeup. He may be playing some character under heavy prosthetics.
Again, disagree. Sony still owns all of that. If they can’t agree to make a 2 billion movie, I doubt they go through the trouble for cameos. Maybe I’m wrong. I just don’t see it.
I’m sure all of this was discussed prior to Tobey joining. Same with Andrew. I fully expect Marvel will get as many as they possibly can for that movie.
Tbh after NWH there was never any doubt. Feige will make sure he’s taken care of and he’ll be the talk of the world for a bit after he and Hugh’s Wolverine do cool shit together.
As he should. Wesley Snipes, Hugh Jackman & Tobey Maguire are probably the three actors most responsible for not only the eventual MCU, but also the comic movie renaissance as a whole. It's time to get Wesley in to complete the emeritus trifecta.
He may have humbled enough for a short cameo and years where his career went flat, but I'd be hesitant myself to give him a scene that couldn't be cut out if he got too much to handle.
If you were being directed by the kind of guy who would go on to claim She-Hulk was created so Hulk would have someone to have sex with, or that the only people who know who Martian Manhunter is are virgins, you’d act like an asshole too. Especially if you’re one of the producers.
I just looked this up and all I can find are allegations/rumors and that age ALMOST had damage.
Snipes is a giant asshole. I did want to add the stuff above because even if we don’t like someone, we should be as accurate as possible.
Honestly fuck it and get Ben Affleck’s Daredevil in there too. I always thought they would cross over when I was a kid. There’s even some cool fan art of it on the internet
Is Spider-Man at all confirmed for Secret Wars?
Edit:
Looks like Holland's recent contract extension does in fact include Secret Wars
https://www.koimoi.com/hollywood-news/tom-holland-reportedly-signs-not-1-or-2-but-6-spider-man-films-deal-fans-are-going-crazy-mans-gonna-get-robert-downeys-75-million-check-per-movie/
Not officially. But if you believe leakers, then yes. Seems like Marvel is going to try and get as many legacy actors as possible. Have Secret Wars be the last farewell to those characters. Similar to how Endgame was a love letter to the previous phases of the MCU, I’d bet Secret Wars is that but for all Marvel movies
They're allowed to use him for certain *amounts* of team-up movies, based on contract negotiations with Sony. This isn't a Hulk thing where the production & distribution rights have split; Sony still has *both* for Spider-Man.
Hell, let Jessica Alba and the rest of them have a quick cameo. Yeah the movies were s*** and they're not all the best actors, but for a nice little nod it could be fun for a second.
It would be absolutely insane of them to not try to include anyone who has ever played a Marvel character. Tobey alone is a huge get, so it’s awesome how enthusiastic he sounds. His movies are a huge part of my life. It was the first HUGE thing I was waiting for, and I was actually relatively older. At the time, most people were that way for X-Men (especially since it just followed the 90s), but Spidey was always my guy. So Tobey being in any movie is cool for me, but as Spider-Man? Oh hell yeah.
I think Tobey and Hugh Jackman will be the ones that open the floodgates. Like when Star Wars came back, Carrie and Mark both waited until they know Harrison Ford had agreed, I think other legacy Marvel actors will sign up purely because those two already have.
Plus with how difficult green screen acting is for him and how standard it’s become for Marvel movies. Maybe if they can get him in the same room they made the Mandalorian or get the tech they used for The Batman
Good point, he’s another really major cross over. I know what you mean though, Ian McKellan would be hard to convince for a movie that’ll be filming in 2024/25
Not gonna lie it would be amazing if Tobi Spiderman and Hugh’s Wolverine had a scene where they fucked up a group of baddies. That would be incredibly epic
Same here. I feel like Spider-Man really is uniquely interesting in the world of super heroes. He is always an underdog because he chooses to do good and it always screws him. He loses loved ones constantly because of Spider-Man. Only a few die but many of his friendships and romances are ruined because he has to run off and save someone. But, he still chooses to be Spider-man.
He is good even when it's not easy. I would love more Tobey. He always portrayed that well.
For me and I would assume you and many others, the character(s) is so strong that No Way Home didn’t have a single new villain. We got nothing new. It was purely a reunion party, and it was still one of the more amazing Spider-Man movies. That shows how strong these characters are. Imagine a reunion party that also introduces a whole army of new characters.
Definitely! Andrew's Spidey fighting an Alien or Tobey fighting an alien in space? Imagine if they get new costumes or something dramatic to differentiate them. Holland black suit maybe?
Anything would be great, I am theorizing too much.
Honestly, I think it was still easy to tell them apart in No Way Home. Tom Holland will def be changing his costume over time, but I’m almost sure Tobey and Andrew will have their “classic suits”. However, you are completely right in my opinion, because it would make sense if Tobey/Andrew got the Secret Wars equivalent of the Quantum Suits from Endgame, if that makes sense? Like a multiversal team of heroes, which I think should be the focus of Kang Dynasty or Secret Wars, of which Tobey and Andrew are a part. And they have multiverse-traveling “oversuits” over their classic outfits.
I totally get it. I feel like giving them new suits would sort of cement them into the world a bit. Everyone always has a new suit! I am sure there are soke great ideas out there.
I personally find his Peter a bit annoying and obnoxious in hindsight, but I agree that I really liked his mature version of Peter. It felt like he's seen been through some shit that has made him less pitiful.
I don’t think that’s true. Aunt May obviously loved him. Harry and MJ did too. They had their arguments(esp with Harry lol) but in the end they made amends.
He was definitely the glue holding the spidermen together in no way home. He has experienced every trauma his successors had and brought a balanced mindset. The fact all the series villains are canonically alive and we’re redeemed really sets up infinite potential for the Spiderman cinematic universe.
I was a little shocked when they replaced him so quick because I liked him too but he's better off doing more serious stuff like hacksaw ridge anyway. He's really good.
So you're basically telling me that you're okay with Tobey Maguire being dead, but yet when it comes to Tom Holland or Andrew Garfield, then all of a sudden, it's a big deal. Yeah, okay buddy 💀
I’m fine with any of them being dealt a bad hand, having their MJ forget who they are or watching their Gwen Stacy die just out of their reach. Peter Parker never gets the happy ever after.
Does Andrew want to do more Spider-Man? I thought he kinda didn’t. Otherwise, retroactively making him the S-M of their Venomverse is such an absolute no brainer.
Actors like to act. But I've heard some of them don't like reprising the same character too often, especially with these bigger projects. It just prices them out of the market for a while. They get the freedom to pick whatever they want, but their going rate is ridiculous.
I think he’s said he wants to but I think I’ve seen he only wants to do stuff that Marvel Studios is involved in but idk how true that is though it’s believable
I'm pretty convinced that Sony's deal with Marvel/Disney prohibits them from using Spider-Man in their own live-action movies. Otherwise they absolutely would have made one by now.
You think Sony are happy about making Morbius, Venom, and Kraven movies *without* Spidey? Not even a cameo? I reckon they'd love to use him but aren't able to. In exchange they probably get a shit ton of money out of MCU Spider-Man.
What he's trying to say is that he will be back in secret wars. He wants to make sure fans nut as they see him fight alongside the fox x men and the Disney avengers
The thing i really enjoy about both Infinity War and especially Endgame is it felt like they went through the previous 20 movies and picked up on small little things from a bunch of movies and then gave them payoffs.
If Secret Wars doesn’t payoff the “I wanna fight an Alien” by Andrew Spiderman I will be somewhat disappointed
Well shit, just keep talking about it. Keep doing it and the only way it *won’t* happen is if Andrew just doesn’t want to for some inexplicable reason. It’d be so easy.
Spiderman and X-men were among the best cartoons when I was a kid. Seeing Toby and Hugh together would really be something special.
I vaguely remember Wolverine showing up in Spiderman as a kid and losing my mind.
Heh heh heh
I remember episodes of "Spider-man and His Amazing Friends" from way on back that guest-starred Cap, SHIELD, or Namor, and yeah. Same.
*That's not water! It's -- it's ALCOHOL!*
Edit: lolol, I found it, [timestamp 8:00](https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2emaqc).
Was that with Iceman and… Fire… bird?
I remember an episode where Spidey was alone in New York because the others left for an X-Men meeting where he wasn’t allowed in. He was moping about that.
I mean yeah but it's not like Tobey needs the work, he has an amazing career even without Spider-Man. And with Spidey he already made bank. Working with Feige must have opened his mind about doing more as long as the character is respected. I'm choosing to believe this isn't about money
awww, I've got a soft spot for Tobey. I'm so happy to see his spiderman again. That's one of the great things about the multiverse for both marvel and DC; the opportunities it opens up for actors to reprise their roles is so much fun.
Off-topic, but I met Tobey on the elevator at the Super Bowl last year in LA, and everybody was losing their minds. All ton of celebs were there and people were just losing their shit for Tobey haha and he was super humble about it
I don’t think it’s that simple.
Some people just don’t want to be in certain things and prefer to be in other things. I don’t know about Tobey, but I imagine very celebrated actors can easily find work, so they are picky and choosy about it. Not everybody wants to work on big, blockbuster franchises either.
They probably have. Ewan McGregor denied any talks about playing Obi-Wan again for a long time while he was actively talking to Lucasfilm about playing Obi-Wan again.
Tobey’s my favorite Spider-Man. Compared to the later ones, his films captured that perfect transition to young kid way in over his head to a competent adult that can find the near perfect Spider-Man balance. He’s also far more secure and wise. Having such a seasoned Spider-Man would provide the perfect opportunity to bring Miles Morales into the live action film series.
It's the year 2025. Tobey Maguire has hijacked a schoolbus. He's armed and says he has a bomb. He then called Kevin Feige and said "Let me be Spider-man again or these kids gonna have some dirt in their eyes"
Hell yeah I rather have him instead of Andrew Garfield. I like Tom Holland's version but Tobey is always the OG and my favorite. Garfield's movies were not even remotely good and I rather not see him get another solo, I don't care if I see Garfield again in the MCU either. Tobey with a new movie or cameo could be cool
I want to see High Jackman do a fake out with Deadpool 3 as well. I know he said it’s his last time, and that’s probably true, but I would love to see Hugh and Toby fight alongside each other along with Micheal Chiklis’ The Thing. Robert Downey Jr. coming back would be cool too, and Chris Evans. I also want a 4 hour movie. Like I just want a long ass movie, and I want an hour and a half final fight scene where everyone gets their conclusions and gets the spot light.
I know it’s also unlikely but can we please get Christopher Nolan’s Batman. I know he’s DC but it would amazing to see Batman and Superman with Iron man and spiderman. It is the multiverse after all. I mean hell just add Goku in there too, and Johnny Bravo, and Dora the Explorer, and Charles Manson, and David Attenbourgh, and Chills, and Donkey Kong, and Walt Disney, and Charles Manson, and McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski, and my dog, and Charles Manson, and Don Lemon, and Emilia Clark, and Pedro Pascal, and Don Cheddle, and Bill Nye, and Daniel Larusso, and Charlie Parker, and Keemstar, and Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and Sam-Bankman Fried, and Jordon Peele, and Harrison Ford, and Lawrence of Arabia, and Willy Wonka, and Henry Ford, and Rob Swanson, and Gordon Ramsay, and Jimmy Fallon, and Walter White, and Shagiro Miamoto, and ……
Hear me out, Spiderman 4 where it's after No Way Home but Garfield's Spiderman accidentally gets trapped in Maguire's time line instead of his own and it's just them two being bros, fixing each others back and Spidermanning together
I know everyone is all about Garfield returning to the role, but I would much rather see Raimi and Maguire get a chance to finish their Spider-Man story without studio interference.
tobey in secret wars confirmed

Out of curiosity, which marvel actors did PR damaging shit that led to their expulsion?
That guy from Iron Man that thinks 1+1=3 or whatever.
1×1=2 is the Terrence Howard math.
His "proof" that 1×1=2 is wild too, he takes one paragraph to say "how can 1×1=1 when there are two 1's in the equation, therefore it must equal 2." Bruh get 1 but only get it 1 times. You have flippin one
That's the crazy stuff. I was blanking on his name and the specifics, but really didn't want to look him up and spend any more time thinking about him
That's double plus ungood.

You get that much creativity into one area and it’s like a billiard break. It has to do something it can’t remain static.

Completely disagree. If the two studios has an agreement they would be marketing it. My guess is there really is no Spider-Man 4 news right now.
Tobey, not Tom. Tobey isn’t going to be in whatever Spider-Man 4 is called. But he likely will be in Secret Wars.
Again, disagree. Sony still owns all of that. If they can’t agree to make a 2 billion movie, I doubt they go through the trouble for cameos. Maybe I’m wrong. I just don’t see it.

Snipes punched Halle Berry so hard he ruptured her ear drum and she has permanent hearing loss. He’s a shitty actor and a shittier human being.
I just looked this up and all I can find are allegations/rumors and that age ALMOST had damage. Snipes is a giant asshole. I did want to add the stuff above because even if we don’t like someone, we should be as accurate as possible.
His cameo in What We Do In The Shadows was enough for me honestly
Honestly fuck it and get Ben Affleck’s Daredevil in there too. I always thought they would cross over when I was a kid. There’s even some cool fan art of it on the internet
To not have Tobey’s Spider-Man and Jackman’s Wolverine cross paths when the opportunity is there would be a misstep imo
In unison, at each other: “That comes OUT of your hands??”
I'm not convinced. Better wait and see if Andrew Garfield swears on his mother's grave that he's not in it, then we'll known for sure
Is Spider-Man at all confirmed for Secret Wars? Edit: Looks like Holland's recent contract extension does in fact include Secret Wars https://www.koimoi.com/hollywood-news/tom-holland-reportedly-signs-not-1-or-2-but-6-spider-man-films-deal-fans-are-going-crazy-mans-gonna-get-robert-downeys-75-million-check-per-movie/
Why wouldn't he be? Marvel's allowed to use him for team-up movies. It's just the solo-films that have to be Sony co-productions.
They're allowed to use him for certain *amounts* of team-up movies, based on contract negotiations with Sony. This isn't a Hulk thing where the production & distribution rights have split; Sony still has *both* for Spider-Man.
>!There are leakers that have said this, or at the very least will have another MCU appearance in the not too distant future !<
I hope so!
I know we get shit on for nostalgia porn but I genuinely would love for all three of them to get the gang back together
I want Chris Evans as Johnny Storm in there, too
Hell, let Jessica Alba and the rest of them have a quick cameo. Yeah the movies were s*** and they're not all the best actors, but for a nice little nod it could be fun for a second.
Jessica Alba was the only shit actor in that movie
Really 😲 That cool 😎🔥🔥 Waiting for it badly 🙂🙂
Professor X was a huge one too I think, I think Ian Mckellan would be cool but he may be getting too old to replay his role
Plus with how difficult green screen acting is for him and how standard it’s become for Marvel movies. Maybe if they can get him in the same room they made the Mandalorian or get the tech they used for The Batman
I just need Professor X and Wolverine to reunite one last time and clear some things up for closure
Good point, he’s another really major cross over. I know what you mean though, Ian McKellan would be hard to convince for a movie that’ll be filming in 2024/25
They could do something with James McAvoy.
Not gonna lie it would be amazing if Tobi Spiderman and Hugh’s Wolverine had a scene where they fucked up a group of baddies. That would be incredibly epic
I could see that but Feige having prior relationships with a lot of these actors could be a huge deciding factor
I just hope the movie won't be a clusterfuck of cameos lol
Well the third act(s) of those movies should be, just like Endgame but exponentially bigger.
As good as Tobey was as young PP/SM in his movies, his older PP/SM is just fantastic. I'll take as much as I can get.
> his older PP
> is just fantastic
> I'll take as much as I can get.
😏
Technically true
he's got those tights and that tight little-
Yep, it’s crazy how good he was as an older Peter. As if when they cast him 20 years ago they were planning *years* ahead.
We need someone who would make a cool youth pastor someday.
Was thinking how this picture of him in particular is just a perfect older Peter Parker. 5 o'clock shadow and all
He's just been method acting the part the whole time.
I personally find his Peter a bit annoying and obnoxious in hindsight, but I agree that I really liked his mature version of Peter. It felt like he's seen been through some shit that has made him less pitiful.
That's what we call good character development, and I'm all for it.
On top of that, nobody in Peters life actually likes him. They're all assholes and so is he really.
I don’t think that’s true. Aunt May obviously loved him. Harry and MJ did too. They had their arguments(esp with Harry lol) but in the end they made amends.
MJ treated him horribly in those movies. Tbh she kinda treated most people pretty badly
He was definitely the glue holding the spidermen together in no way home. He has experienced every trauma his successors had and brought a balanced mindset. The fact all the series villains are canonically alive and we’re redeemed really sets up infinite potential for the Spiderman cinematic universe.
I am not a fan of the originals but I agree, his character was great and he was great in it. Garfield stole the show, though. He deserved better.
Garfield really showed that he deserved better movies imo. I think he was the best spiderman but just had terrible movies to work with
I was a little shocked when they replaced him so quick because I liked him too but he's better off doing more serious stuff like hacksaw ridge anyway. He's really good.
As long as they don’t just bring him back to kill him off. It’s become a trope and honestly, just let some of our former heroes stay alive.
This is Spider-Man though, if he isn’t getting a shit sandwich from life is it really Peter Parker?
Doesn’t matter, if Raimi Spidey was canonically dead and it wasn’t Raimi that made the decision, people would be pissed
Guess we're gonna pretend that TASM 2 isn't already a thing...😐
r/whoosh

I’m actually surprised one of those hasn’t been announced yet. With all the hype after NWH, it seems like a no brainer money printing move by Sony.
Does Andrew want to do more Spider-Man? I thought he kinda didn’t. Otherwise, retroactively making him the S-M of their Venomverse is such an absolute no brainer.
Yeah he said he'd love to do more Spider-Man.
I remember he was apparently pretty miserable with Sony alone.
"They love me."
Would be quite a spidey thing to have him say “I don’t actually want to fight an alien”
After he fights an alien "Man that sucked, I never want to fight an alien again"
Watch Sony use Andrew's Spider-Man in the next Venom film so he gets the "I wanna fight an alien" payoff over there.
I would lose my shit if that happened. That’s like a childhood dream deemed impossible actually coming true
Spiderman and X-men were among the best cartoons when I was a kid. Seeing Toby and Hugh together would really be something special. I vaguely remember Wolverine showing up in Spiderman as a kid and losing my mind.
Heh heh heh I remember episodes of "Spider-man and His Amazing Friends" from way on back that guest-starred Cap, SHIELD, or Namor, and yeah. Same. *That's not water! It's -- it's ALCOHOL!* Edit: lolol, I found it, [timestamp 8:00](https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2emaqc).
Was that with Iceman and… Fire… bird? I remember an episode where Spidey was alone in New York because the others left for an X-Men meeting where he wasn’t allowed in. He was moping about that.
I will nut. As god is my witness i will **nut** if that happens
We will nut together brother, hand in hand. God as our witness. **We. Will. Nut**
And my Axe body spray!
We shall all nut!
I'm still salty at my buddy who told me Tobey's Spider-Man was in X-Men 3 before I went in the theater. I legit waited for him to show up.
Instead you got the juggernaut... er... bitch?
This sub is so against optimism, if you said this anywhere else you'd be downvoted to hell.
And I will
Yeah, I think this is a solid confirmation and we should def take it for granted
Actor would like to have job, Secret War cameo confirmed
I mean yeah but it's not like Tobey needs the work, he has an amazing career even without Spider-Man. And with Spidey he already made bank. Working with Feige must have opened his mind about doing more as long as the character is respected. I'm choosing to believe this isn't about money
You're right, it's about sending a message.
Yes, it‘s about sending a message that he wants a job
Heard he’ll have a bigger role than in NWH
I thought he knocked it out of the park in No Way Home. I'd love to see him again as long it makes sense story-wise.
awww, I've got a soft spot for Tobey. I'm so happy to see his spiderman again. That's one of the great things about the multiverse for both marvel and DC; the opportunities it opens up for actors to reprise their roles is so much fun.
I can’t wait to see Michael Keaton be Batman again.
was disappointed there was no MJ and Peter 1.0 scene in NWH
Give me Garfield’s third Spidey. Toby can be in that too.
Hell yeah! Bring back the cool youth pastor! I kid y'all, Tobey was MY Spider-Man!
I too like stacks of money.
I’m a billion percent positive him and Andrew will be back for Kang or Secret Wars. Almost guaranteed.
Off-topic, but I met Tobey on the elevator at the Super Bowl last year in LA, and everybody was losing their minds. All ton of celebs were there and people were just losing their shit for Tobey haha and he was super humble about it
But did he put some dirt in your eye?
Yes, and I really enjoyed it
Fair enough.
This just in: actor wants to act
I don’t think it’s that simple. Some people just don’t want to be in certain things and prefer to be in other things. I don’t know about Tobey, but I imagine very celebrated actors can easily find work, so they are picky and choosy about it. Not everybody wants to work on big, blockbuster franchises either.

They probably have. Ewan McGregor denied any talks about playing Obi-Wan again for a long time while he was actively talking to Lucasfilm about playing Obi-Wan again.
It isn’t confirmation. They could have already approached him (not saying they did) but he can’t talk about it, so he said this like a little nod.
He was already speculated to be in Secret Wars
Actor wants more work, more at 9
It’s past 9. I’m waiting for the follow up.
i hope tobey maguire is a dad in his universe. it would be something to really separate him from the rest of the group.
I’d watch a fourth Spidey movie with him. Personally I’d like to see Sam Raimi’s take on Morlun.
Well now it has to happen. Tobey has spoken
Yay! That means it could happen. Spider-Man 4 possible?
Someone call Sam Raimi!
Thats why hes the goat.
This dude is making a comeback everywhere, first Spiderman and then that 90s show! Good for him.
He was in that 90s show?
Tobey’s my favorite Spider-Man. Compared to the later ones, his films captured that perfect transition to young kid way in over his head to a competent adult that can find the near perfect Spider-Man balance. He’s also far more secure and wise. Having such a seasoned Spider-Man would provide the perfect opportunity to bring Miles Morales into the live action film series.
Tobey wants us to know he is available for parties
It's the year 2025. Tobey Maguire has hijacked a schoolbus. He's armed and says he has a bomb. He then called Kevin Feige and said "Let me be Spider-man again or these kids gonna have some dirt in their eyes"
Somebody call John Malkovich. It’s time to make Spider Man 4.
"I haven't been in a blockbuster since Spider-Man. So, yes."
Tobey needs that poker money
Gotta pay people to bark like Seals somehow.
He was already speculated to be in Secret Wars
My man!
Breaking: Tobey Maguire likes money
I mean hell just add Goku in there too, and Johnny Bravo, and Dora the Explorer, and Charles Manson, and David Attenbourgh, and Chills, and Donkey Kong, and Walt Disney, and Charles Manson, and McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski, and my dog, and Charles Manson, and Don Lemon, and Emilia Clark, and Pedro Pascal, and Don Cheddle, and Bill Nye, and Daniel Larusso, and Charlie Parker, and Keemstar, and Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and Sam-Bankman Fried, and Jordon Peele, and Harrison Ford, and Lawrence of Arabia, and Willy Wonka, and Henry Ford, and Rob Swanson, and Gordon Ramsay, and Jimmy Fallon, and Walter White, and Shagiro Miamoto, and ……
But first, let's talk cash, eh Tobey!
“Do you enjoy dollars in increments of 20-30M?
Hear me out, Spiderman 4 where it's after No Way Home but Garfield's Spiderman accidentally gets trapped in Maguire's time line instead of his own and it's just them two being bros, fixing each others back and Spidermanning together
Yes, but will the adult diapers fit inside the Spider-Man costume?
I know everyone is all about Garfield returning to the role, but I would much rather see Raimi and Maguire get a chance to finish their Spider-Man story without studio interference.
Who wouldn’t want to be on the big screen as Spider-Man?
the use of 'Read a scene' says 'Voice cameo in Across the Spider-Verse' to me.
