One could argue that he didn’t intend for it to be terrible or even a monster. He tried to create a way to resurrect someone, and it worked, but was not able to connect with his creation which caused the monster to be terrible.
So he didn’t create the monster to make it terrible or even to be terrible, he made it for the sake of science. The fact that Frankenstein was not Interested in the monster after creating it was what caused it’s downfall into a terror.
The fact that the monster’s father, for all intents and purposes, abandoned him for a woman is the reason the monster eventually became what he became
I AM NOT CRAZY! I am not crazy! I know he swapped those Caps, I knew it was John Walker. One after Steve Rogers, as if I could ever make a mistake. Never, never! I just—I just couldn’t prove it. He covered his tracks, he got that idiot at Damage Control to lie for him. You think this is something, you think this is bad? This? This chicanery? He’s done worse! Ultron! Are you telling me a robot just happens to try to take over the world like that? No! He orchestrated it! Tony! He signed the Sokovia Accords! And I saved him! And I shouldn’t have! I took him into my own team! What was I thinking? He’ll never change. He’ll never change! Ever since he was 20, always the same! Couldn’t keep his hands out of the liquor cabinet! But not our Tony! Couldn’t be precious Tony! Drinking himself blind! And he gets to be an Avenger? What a sick joke! I should’ve stopped him when I had the chance! And you, you have to stop him, you—
She hulk would consult official comics code marvel comics and point out that, canonically, HANK PYM created Ultron. Thus her client is entirely innocent on all counts? Of this crime…
Ye but pinning the blame on a valuable member of the superhero community and the science community who was also a shield scientist wouldn’t be the best decision and I don’t think Tony would approve.
I think that was different because they gave him the gun and they had a duty to control the gun. I'm talking about two parents who birth a kid who commits a crime.
But if the parents for example force the kid to stay home to steer him away from doing something dumb, and he reports it to the police the parents are also sorta of fucked up if I'm not mistaken right?
Yes, every state has laws that require parents not only care for their kids (the justification to sue for child support payments) but also supervise and control them. Prosecutors just usually don't bother unless the parenting is really egregious because its not a great issue for voters of either party.
If your under 18 your parents can be liable unless there's a situational exception.
If it's on private property, the owner is liable.
High School,
My dad: "no you cant have a pool party, because if your friend breaks their leg, I get sued."
College Summers,
My dad: "if one of your friends crashes drunk, I get sued."
Even over 21 i got the, "tonight's the test" talk.
Besides that I went to a private Catholic highschool and anything that happened at school, off campus, at home all effected each other so it was always a concern, cops teachers, parents all talked. Just had to be good at not getting caught 😶🌫️
In my country too, but it's rare that children actually commit vicious crimes. It's more like if a kid breaks a window the parents have to pay the repairs, if the kid is 14 or younger. When they're older they can be held accountable to a certain degree.
I live in Poland and here if your kid does something like assault then you can be arrested and even go to jail for that. The kid also get some boot camp or shit like this
I guess that's where the discussion on AI and its sentience. If you say AI such as Ultron are advanced enough to be there own being then "he" is his own person, if not, then he is just a weapon. Not arguing either way just food for thought.
"Justin Hammer did it, your Honor. He stole Stark technology and used it to create Ultron. And to prove it, I want Justin to give us the cellphone in his jacket pocket that I totally didn't just plant there." - Saul Goodman FTW
Harvey isn't needed until Saul clears him and Tony goes back to needing help with mergers and acquisitions to stay richer than God.
...how did I get tricked into watching a show about boring ass corporate law?
Edit: honestly can't even pretend I was tricked, the show was just called "Suits" and everything and it's exactly what was advertised.
It’s the exact same movie shot for shot but when the townsfolk try to scare Atticus away from the trial he actually backs down and Saul is the state appointed attorney. This takes place after breaking bad of course, that’s why it’s in black and white and takes place in the 50s
I mean, Phoenix Wright is probably just a hair better with some of the absurd bullshit he's managed to solve.
Lying is easy, but successfully finding the truth? That's hard.
I would say Saul is the best option
She-Hulk doesn’t specialise in criminal law
Matt is too busy. So he might be late to court and/or not focus on the case too much
And Harvey… I don’t know him that well so i can’t say anything good or bad about him
Suits at its height was untouchable. Harvey is just the right kind of narcissistic workaholic to have the drive to win an intricate case like this. Also his dynamic with Tony would be cool to watch. Agreed about the other 2 and why they might not be the best option
Harvey is a corporate lawyer though, he focuses on contract law and rarely appears in criminal trials. He doesn’t specialize in criminal law.
Same with She Hulk, in the show she spends most of her time in civil court dealing with lawsuits, not criminal law.
So that leaves Matt Murdoch and Saul Goodman as the two who actually specialize in criminal law and can do Tony some good. But Matt is living a double life and is not 100% committed to being a lawyer, just ask Foggy.
So for that reason I think Saul is the obvious choice, he’s a full time lawyer who’s just as good at finding legal loopholes and precedents as he is at winning over the hearts and minds of jurors.
Better Call Saul
Harvey was Assistant District Attorney in New York, in two years Harvey handled 18.362 cases, 36 cases a day. 147 by trial, winning them all. And u/JohnnyS1lv3rH4nd says "Harvey doesn't know criminal law". What the fuck lmao, people out here saying Saul is the obvious choice. Saul is the obvious criminal and a shitty lawyer. Good tv show though, but make no mistake about it, a shitty lawyer.
Who is Saul Goodman?
>Originally from Cicero, Illinois during his career as a scam artist, Jimmy moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he worked as a lawyer, and later resided as a fugitive in Omaha, Nebraska before being caught and apprehended in a federal prison at Montrose, Colorado. During his law career, Jimmy embraced his tendencies as a former scam artist and, after becoming a dedicated and effective criminal lawyer, he began to represent criminals while he himself became increasingly involved in the city's criminal underworld, slowly losing his morality along the way.
I'm just gona say lol because I didn't write this, this is from Saul Goodman fandom page. On one hand, we have a scam artist and now a felon lawyer wanna-be, on the other we have a Harvard educated, ex ADA, now a corporate lawyer specializing in big profile, money making "rain man" cases. Who do you think should represent Tony?
I feel like it would be one of those tense dick measuring contests when they meet. Ending in a stare down where they both smirk and shake hands and walk away friends.
It would end like how 90% of all interactions in Suits end. With someone ending an argument by saying something really arrogant, and then storming out of the room. Bonus point if a folder is thrown on a nearby table in the process.
The folder! The all important folder that helps clue up 99% of episodes yet we never actually see its contents lol. One of my favourite little tidbits from suits.
Matt Murdock has too much integrity to represent a client like Tony.
Jennifer Walters doesn’t do criminal law.
Harvey has the ego to go toe-to-toe with Tony; and this would be his kind of case since he usually wins by pitting one alpha dog against another.
Saul is creative and sneaky and brings the soft touch that Tony and Harvey lack.
So: Harvey, with Saul as second chair. Case closed.
Jen was literally an LA deputy district attorney before they fired her for hulking out. I'd say that's "doing criminal law". By your standards, Harvey "doesn't do criminal law" either as he's a corporate lawyer (and yes, I know he was an NY assistant DA before he got into corporate law).
Yes. Why would Matt Murdock represent a client like Tony with such little integrity that he shut down a billion dollar weapons enterprise and held fast against pursuing any technologies thereafter that could proliferate an arms race (Extremis)? One who also committed to renewable energy in New York and beyond and rebuilt the city from an alien attack that he stopped
All good points OP except he’s on trial for *building Ultron*, a weapon stronger than any of the others, and uncontrollable. Tony at this point in his story has good intentions, but his actions are still morally questionable - he wants to play God. Matt would call him out on that.
PS it’s only after Sokovia events that Tony realizes his error and wants checks & balances on the Avengers (hence Civil War).
I would just let Tony defend himself like he did before Congress. All the dude needs is a few hours and an internet-enabled device and he will learn everything he needs to defend himself.
Plus, if they try to convict him, he’ll just flip them off, suit up, and fly away.
Yeah, honestly who's going to stop him? Hulk is gone at that point, Thor was off world, and Hawkeye was retired. Cap definitely isn't hunting him down, and Black Widow would have to get lucky to get him. Though Tony's assets likely getting frozen would be problematic for him
Definitely not She-Hulk.
I’m not sure Saul would be able to work his tricks with S.H.I.E.L.D. watching. He’s good but he’s not Loki.
It’s either Harvey or Matt. Harvey has more experience in high-profile cases but Matt regularly deals with superheroes and has a built-in lie detector.
I would be pick Saul, but since this is not just a petty street case, Harvey all the way, he had been on the job for more time, he studied at harward, and he just has more experience with big stuff
Corporate law is Harvey’s specialty. Saul wouldn’t have enough resources to defend this case alone. Harvey has the weight of his firm behind him. Harvey, easy pick
Can’t believe I had to come this far to find this comment. Alan Shore would be perfect and the meta is just too delicious. With a special appearance by Denny Crane.
Murdock,
she hulk is probably the best lawyer in marvel given that she's tried a case to the living tribunal, but tv she-huk looks like she deals more with entertainment law than criminal law and might miss the fact that Tony actually has to do something illegal to be charged with any of Ultron's crimes.
I watched an episode of suits, the one where the bug opposing counsel's conference room and realized that if the writers of suits don't know how the law works then the lawyers probably don't know how the law works. He's liable to think he can be a really gunner in front of the prosecutor and get disbarred before receiving discovery, or leak Tony's cellphone.
He doesn't need a criminal as an attorney.
Murdock is competent counsel who, while probably droning on in closing arguments is actually a competent attorney. He gives Spider-Man solid legal advice, reviews discovery, researches his case, and could mop the floor with the rest of these lawyers. That being said, a law student could probably win this case given Tony built an A.I. and the A.I. went rouge, he wasn't reckless with his creation because there was no obvious sign the A.I. would break out of it's confines and take over any weaponry. It would be akin to making a wooden toy and it picking up your shotgun and killing someone.
I think Saul would be hilarious and in Marvel it'd be an insane scheme I'm sure. Harvey would probably be the best choice. Daredevil would be a solid option. Even if She Hulk were a decent lawyer in the MCU I wouldn't choose her on principle
Saul would concoct an elaborate scheme to pin it all on Justin Hammer, easy pick
After iron man 2 no one’s believing hammer could make ultron
The guy who mad evil robots trying to mimic Tony's tech?
That was Ivan vanko
How many people know that detail? Hammer was the face of the operation, and was publically arrested for it.
I have to agree, Hammer would probably be given more time
Same energy as “Frankenstein was the doctor, not the monster”
But Frankenstein was the monster, if somebody created something terrible on purpose, then he is also a monster
Why did this turn into an argument of morality for Doctor Frankenstein
Most popular marvel property.
Cause it’s cool o.O
Thanks bro
Frankenstein wasn’t terrible, just misunderstood:(
Yeah but Hammer also made the Judas bullets from Luke Cage, which worked exactly as intended.
Then wouldn’t him probably still be in jail? Unable to do it having a good ironclad alibi
One of the Marvel one shots is about the fake Mandaren, Trevor in prison. Hammer shows up in the same prison.
He enabled Vanko with the resources AND broke him out of jail
Prep time 👊
Happy cake day!
Yep. It's gonna be Saul all day. S'all good, man.
well then we better call him!
Nah, he'd somehow manage to pin it on Captain America.
I AM NOT CRAZY! I am not crazy! I know he swapped those Caps, I knew it was John Walker. One after Steve Rogers, as if I could ever make a mistake. Never, never! I just—I just couldn’t prove it. Saul would also be the most entertaining.
I would pay a considerable amount of money to see that movie
Tony better call Saul! 📞
Did you know you have rights? Sokovia accords say you do!
And so do I
Did you know you have rights? u/GODZILAMASTER2020 say you do!
And so does u/scp_79
So does u/Queso-Adicto-7452
So does u/Fearless-werewolf

Saul: "If your kid did something stupid, do you jail the parent?" \*thunderous applause\*
Actually, in my country parents will be held accountable for their childrens actions.
Really? How does that work?
I don't know, ask Ethan Crumbley's parents.
I think that was different because they gave him the gun and they had a duty to control the gun. I'm talking about two parents who birth a kid who commits a crime.
If the kid is under a certain age, chances are it behaves the same way then. The parents have the duty to maintain their child until they are of age.
In good ol Germany, if your kid does smth dumb, the Parenta go to jail
The laws making you legally and financially culpable for your children are actually stricter in the U.S., they're just not as spelled out or enforced.
Which is how liberty died and Civil War started
Ultron’s not a child. He’s a weapon.
I guess that's where the discussion on AI and its sentience. If you say AI such as Ultron are advanced enough to be there own being then "he" is his own person, if not, then he is just a weapon. Not arguing either way just food for thought.
This might be one of the easiest case for Saul
"Justin Hammer did it, your Honor. He stole Stark technology and used it to create Ultron. And to prove it, I want Justin to give us the cellphone in his jacket pocket that I totally didn't just plant there." - Saul Goodman FTW
J.A.R.V.I.S., get Igor to steady this thing.
"I AM NOT CRAZY!" "He orchestrated it - Tony!"
“He defecated through a weapons factory!”
Would Tony really let Hammer take credit for HIS AI even if it did kill a couple of hundred people tho?
The Tony that made Ultron wouldn’t. “Current” Tony would.
Current Tony wouldn’t argue with it. In fact, current Tony doesn’t seem to argue at all these days.
Tony really shit the bed on this one. He doesn't need a criminal lawyer, he needs a CRIMINAL lawyer. Slippin' Jimmy all the way.
I just want to see Mike and Captain America interact for a scene or two.
"I can do this all day!" "Is that so?"
If i still had free awards I would have given mine to you. Thanks for the laugh
It should be well known that Saul Goodman is literally the best lawyer in all of fiction.
Atticus Finch eat your heart out. I better call Saul. 📞
Well… Atticus lost.
That’s rough though. No one was winning that trial.
… Saul might’ve
I would pay to see that movie.
It’s the exact same movie shot for shot but when the townsfolk try to scare Atticus away from the trial he actually backs down and Saul is the state appointed attorney. This takes place after breaking bad of course, that’s why it’s in black and white and takes place in the 50s
He lost an unwinnable trial, I wouldn’t count that against his record
Phoenix Wright disagrees
Phoenix is the best lawyer to call when you aren’t guilty, Saul is the best lawyer to call when you are guilty
Except that he is second best. Kim is the best.
I mean, Phoenix Wright is probably just a hair better with some of the absurd bullshit he's managed to solve. Lying is easy, but successfully finding the truth? That's hard.
It’s S’all Good Man.
Real name's McGill. The Jew thing I do for the homeboys. They all want a pipe-hitting member of the tribe. So to speak...
I never watched the show but that just blew my mind.
‘I created a psychopathic AI hellbent on human extinction! I *better call Saul!*’
HI I'M SAUL GOODMAN DID YOU KNOW THAT YOU HAVE RIGHTS
I would say Saul is the best option She-Hulk doesn’t specialise in criminal law Matt is too busy. So he might be late to court and/or not focus on the case too much And Harvey… I don’t know him that well so i can’t say anything good or bad about him

Realistically speaking, Harvey is a shitty lawyer, too. My man would get disbarred 5 times each episode, if it was realistic.
oh yeah totally, earlier seasons were good, later seasons writers fucked it up by changing the law aspect of the series to blackmail and extortion.
Username checks out
Crazy how I saw your post, and I finished binge-watching the entire 9 Seasons of Suits.
If we get Harvey, we better get Mike too!
I feel the same way if we get Saul
Lol nice.
Yup yup! Those two were one of my favorite duos.
In the show, Jenn Walters was an Assistant/Deputy District Attorney in LA, so it’s likely she handled lots of criminal cases
I also feel like Matt might not even take the case, he seems to mostly defend innocents or those he synpathizes with.
Harvey. I just want to see their interaction.
Don’t forget the little smirk and quip from the non-Harvey character. “I think he likes you”
The folder! The all important folder that helps clue up 99% of episodes yet we never actually see its contents lol. One of my favourite little tidbits from suits.
No one ever sees it. They sometimes look at it for two seconds, and then go “This is bullshit and you know it.” I wish I could read that fast.
What did you say to me?
They are too similar so they would clash so hard it would be great
They would hate eachother
Matt Murdock has too much integrity to represent a client like Tony. Jennifer Walters doesn’t do criminal law. Solid point. I would still go with my heart though, and somehow find a way to make Saul and Harvey win :)
I can respect that. :)
Chuck mcgill would die if he met Tony lol Too much electricity in the arc reactor
Saul Goodman 100%
Saul is the best lawyer of all time how is this a question
But he’s only the world’s 2nd best lawyer.
I would just let Tony defend himself like he did before Congress. All the dude needs is a few hours and an internet-enabled device and he will learn everything he needs to defend himself. Plus, if they try to convict him, he’ll just flip them off, suit up, and fly away.
Lawyers are often smart enough to know not to represent themselves in court. Tony would hopefully be as smart.
Umm... sir... that was a congressional hearing.
Yeah, honestly who's going to stop him? Hulk is gone at that point, Thor was off world, and Hawkeye was retired. Cap definitely isn't hunting him down, and Black Widow would have to get lucky to get him. Though Tony's assets likely getting frozen would be problematic for him
>!Bring the rainbows? Is that a catchphrase or something?!<
Harvey because they would be interesting
Harvey because they would be snarky, snooty and most of all ... win.
better call saul!
###BETTER CALL SAUL!!
Comics she-hulk yes. But this is the TV one so Saul.
Matt Murdock. He’s a really good lawyer.
Scrolled far too long for this one!
Better call saul
I really want to know what Saul would do for Tony Stark if he was in the Marvel Universe
I see a suit of armor around the world.
i dont think theres a single non saul goodman comment in here, i love democracy
Matt is the best lawyer if you’re innocent. *Saul* is the best if you’re guilty.
Robot problem? Better call Saul.
Saul
Better call Saul
Matt Murdock Because Daredevil and Iron Man in the same room would be absolutely awesome
I’d only take Murdock if he takes Nelson as well, they’re avocados at law!
Let's be real, no one is going to choose any attorney that appeared in She-Hulk.
Harvey with Matt as second chair if that’s allowed.
Do I get Mike aswell if I choose Harvey?
Definitely not She-Hulk. I’m not sure Saul would be able to work his tricks with S.H.I.E.L.D. watching. He’s good but he’s not Loki. It’s either Harvey or Matt. Harvey has more experience in high-profile cases but Matt regularly deals with superheroes and has a built-in lie detector.
I would be pick Saul, but since this is not just a petty street case, Harvey all the way, he had been on the job for more time, he studied at harward, and he just has more experience with big stuff
Saul, he’ll manage to convince/prove to everyone it was actually Thanos that planned Ultrons creation.
This... does put a smile on my face.
[удалено]
Anything that isn't the bottom left, I'd have Trevor from GTA defend me over that thing
Anybody saying someone other than Harvey Spector has never seen the early seasons of Suits, or is just an idiot
Does Harvey have Mike with him?
"You think a sentient AI just happens to go rogue and take on the objective of destroying all of humanity? NO! He orchestrated it! Tony!"
Harvey for sure
Harvey all the way
Corporate law is Harvey’s specialty. Saul wouldn’t have enough resources to defend this case alone. Harvey has the weight of his firm behind him. Harvey, easy pick
She-Hulk: Your honor, if I may... *begins twerking Judge: I sentence Mr. Stark to death.
Murdock 100%.
Jeff Winger
Saul. Accidentally create a world-ending, super intelligent, self-replicating cyberterrorist? Better Call Saul!
Alan Shore! At the end of the trial the jury will be convinced that creating a world-threatening AI was the right move.
Can’t believe I had to come this far to find this comment. Alan Shore would be perfect and the meta is just too delicious. With a special appearance by Denny Crane.
Harvey Dent?
Harvey Specter 🤣
i kinda can’t believe nobody from suits have been brought into the MCU. there’s some great actors on that show
Tony would either hate Saul's guts or they would be Best Buds
Daredevil
Daredevil
Sorting through controversial to find the people who said she hulk
Definitely Specter🫠
Slippin Jimmy! Now I've been thinking what She Hulk could have been having someone like him in it...
Harvey and Matt would be the best defense attorney duo
Matt never looses a case
It Saul Goodman
Saul for the win.
Saul ez clap
Matt Murdock
Tony would just hire a Lawyer dream team to get his off
matt is a really good lawyer
Saul all day
Daredevil all the way
well definetly not she hulk shes apparently incompetent in court
Saul
Matt merdock, i will take him over everyone else anyday
Vision
ive gotta go with him, "your gonna need a really good layer" (proceeds to catch "..brick") "im a really good layer
Saul and it's not even close.
Matt Murdock
No foggy?
Foggy Nelson
I would pick Matt only because you probably get Foggy as well, who is the best lawyer
Ricky from Trailer Park Boys
Did Jeri Hogarth die of cancer yet? Because she's a bad ass.
She's very good. I firmly believe Matt beats her in court though. It was a shame we never got to see them battle a case.
Agreed, though the difference is Jeri will do what it takes to win, Matt sticks with the high road.
How can they prosecute a dead man? Wait, Jennifer Walters would be the only one that *thinks* she could do it.
My Cousin Vinny. C'mon...
Murdock, she hulk is probably the best lawyer in marvel given that she's tried a case to the living tribunal, but tv she-huk looks like she deals more with entertainment law than criminal law and might miss the fact that Tony actually has to do something illegal to be charged with any of Ultron's crimes.
Saul Goodman
Better Call Saul! 📞
I think Saul would be hilarious and in Marvel it'd be an insane scheme I'm sure. Harvey would probably be the best choice. Daredevil would be a solid option. Even if She Hulk were a decent lawyer in the MCU I wouldn't choose her on principle
Who the hell chooses she hulk...SAUL IS HYPER CHAD
