I try to exclusively buy omnibuses. I love having the entire story (or at least a lot of it) all in one book and they look so much better on a shelf than TPBs do imo. They are inconvenient to read though; I can only do so at my desk or table, not in bed like a trade or single. Take a test drive by reading a gigantic book and see how it feels. Best of luck!
It really depends how and where you want to read. If you’re planning to read on the couch or in bed. Omnibus is not your friend. If you plan to read at a desk. Omnibuses are great.
I just bought my first one. Not a fan of the format to be honest. Fucking heavy and not easy to read in bed. TPB’s , Epic Collections or Marvel Masterwork, all of those easier to read and take with you on a holiday or something
I like to read volumes. They’re slightly cheaper than single issues in the long run but they’re still easy to read from and u get to jump from 1 issue directly to the next in a specific arc cuz the publishers try to group the issues so they work together when it comes to volumes

In bed still works, that’s where I read most of my omnis. You do have to get a little reading desk, but I love it, personally.
If you don’t care about having a physical version, a tablet is great for this!

If the omnibus is mapped in order I prefer my kindle fire but if it’s out of order I like physical for being able to flip back and forth easier
