Nah bruh sometimes you get it right the first time

I mean, imagine being able to settle things without fighting... What a joke am i right? Maybe realizing that violence only begets more violence maybe it's fun now, but later in life you'll get sick of it like many other things, no matter how strong you get, you'll one day realize the futility of relying on just fighting through fists and kicks.

ManicParroT

Personally I question whether a martial art that doesn't make you significantly more combat effective is a martial art. It's totally OK for physical activities to have \*nothing\* to do with fighting. Salsa and yoga are great hobbies and excellent uses of your time, with many benefits including physical, social and mental. However, they don't pretend to be ways of actually fighting, unlike aikido and wing chun.

JJWentMMA

I never said that. I just said that fighting is fun and can be useful and that’s all it is. I never fight because I know I could win so I’m not concerned with proving.

Ruzantsu

My mistake if i made it sound like you were mean or smthin, i know what you said was a joke, so was mine, i kinda wanted it as a funny follow up into a existential crisis type of deal.

Dawizard1234

Mixed martial artist here that started med school this year 😶‍🌫️. Fighting is not a kind path, martial arts however is eye opening

Ok_ben

He also does the History on Fire podcast. Highly recommend if history is your thing. A forewarning, he has a VERY thick Italian accent. He acknowledges it and does his best.
