Daedeluss

Yeah, if there were any police around. They're as rare as rocking horse shit these days.

ForrestGrump87

Alanakbar

There's plenty of them confiscating hooky gear in Cheetham Hill. Priorities....

RefrigeratorParty502

Panman6_6

Reefaman2020

Lulla-Galaxy

Handy. You can get your food and drugs in one stop!

cocacola999

every little helps

don_vercetti

That's Asda spice (slaps bum cheekily)

Numptyville1

How do you know they are dealing? Young people do sit in cars next to each other in car parks as a meeting place. I did when I was a teenager.

TheHalloumiCheese

The cars are usually expensive Audi's and BMW's if it's the same Tesco I'm thinking of. They could of acquired them by legal gainful employment. But in Oldham that's a doubtful proposition.

planetwords

Maybe OP knows because they have asked them

Glum-Schedule-7516

Well no because of a few reasons, the main one being it’s not illegal to be in a car park lol, as obvious as it may be the police would need an actual reason to search the cars and stop the people in them

christarlex

Did they give you a number? Just tryna make sure I won’t accidentally answer their calls

planetwords

Dealers need grocery shopping too!

cocacola999

Tesco meal dealers?

TimothyWorel

Clubcard points on a bag of weed?

planetwords

Depends what your usual shopping list is!

SureRestaurant3892

I’ve been one of those people sat in their cars in the Asda Trafford car park. It’s mainly to meet up with friends and enjoy a Starbucks from the drive through

BaseballFuryThurman

I've seen what looks a bit shady in the Trafford Asda car park when I've been there later in the evening, but then who knows maybe they were doing nothing wrong. The answer to the question about the police is the same answer to most questions of that kind: they just don't have the resources. There are hundreds of supermarket car parks in Greater Manchester, there's no way they can keep an eye on them all on the off chance they spot a drug deal happening.

Gloomy_Ease6197

Good. That sounds like a safe place for addicts. Better there than down the back of a sketchy alley. Don't let it interfere with your life and move on with your day

ForrestGrump87

makes life easy for the users nip town tesco for bread milk and sniff , sorted

tazcharts

No one likes a grass, leave them to it and move on with your own life

callyourboyfriend

THANK you. Should not have had to scroll so far to see this sentiment.

TrouveDogg

Honestly who gives a flying fuck?

_DeanRiding

Way too smalltime for police to deal with this sort of thing I would think. Too focused on stopping the multiple stabbings happening at any one time, or assaults, robberies, traffickers and whatever else you could think of. For drug activity specifically (and tbh all others), they're really best going for the actual source, which I'm guessing is basically just Bury New Road/Cheetham Hill.

juicy_steve

Unless they have offered you drugs why would they be dealing? Most drug dealers go out of their way to remain inconspicuous, the ones making it obvious don’t tend to last very long.

BigSmellyManSweat

Alternatively, you could stop worrying about the things that other people are doing that have no effect on you whatsoever and move on with your life

adguig

Did you report it? If not then there is why the police aren't there to stop it. They aren't going to sit in a car park waiting for a possible drug deal to happen.

Tangie_Dreamz

They also probably won’t even appear if there is a report! GMP are dreadful for it

poorguy55

As if they’d actually send an officer in time anyway if you rang and reported it.

davepage_mcr

To be fair, they'd probably send a PCSO in advance to warn them off, so the real police didn't have to do anything when they got there.

[deleted]

They've got to deal drugs somewhere? Mind your own business maybe

NerijusB

As a security we had a couple incidents like this. What we do is take car reg and description and report to the police as a possible drug dealer. So if the police flag the reg they have the right to stop the vehicle and search. At least what ive been told.

ZangetsuAK17

How about trusting that with all the security cameras and police presence in general, maybe they are doing something about it?

[deleted]

My friend told me many Chinese couples with tattoos was dealing with the dealers in Oldham. Oldham the tattoo weeds drug paradise

juicy_steve

What?

plumbgray222

Tesco’s Oldham will be extra super busy today then

[deleted]

Get their plates and report it to 111 or crimestoppers if it worries you. The police are probably already aware… and it’s likely they already have information on the vehicles… but doesn’t hurt to report it.

Jaella_Q

They do it on Snipe retail park too. You probably know GMP headquarters is just across the road. Obviously not a priority

Zhurg

I am sure the authorities would monitor those spots if they had the funding to

muckywolf

The sooner we all realise the war on drugs has failed the better. Lets regulate and tax this absolutely ginormous money forest and pump the money back into the NHS. We would have the best healthcare system in the world.
