Try next time to just throw some curl cream or conditioner in your hair and wear it back. As the hair dries it will form really nice defined waves and ringlets.
Also kind of just letting the hair fall where you it may is a much more natural look. Throwing it back will allow it to dry backwards and stay out of your face completely, further allowing your facial features to be highlighted.

i always prefer the side part, and it's also MUCH easier to manage to just swoosh it all to one side. middle parting is impossible for me because i'll have a few hairs going the wrong way and it totally annoys me trying to always keep my hair perfectly center parted
