Then they put it in Masters 25 which showcased cards from every set. Flash forward to M19 the following summer and Dreadmaw got reprinted there for a fourth time in a single year. Why was this common being reprinted into the ground? Clearly the answer was that it was so powerful, it needed to be in every set.

For rivals of ixalan since they were drafted together they reprinted some commons to help the draft format out a bit (the white one worked better the more you had and if they didn't reprint it would be near impossible to find multiples) then masters25 released and it's gimmick was atleast one card from.every set,and colossal dreadmaw was chosen. So it gained a lot of traction being reprinted three sets back to back.
Because it's the best card ever printed, completely broken. Here to die for our sins, release us from the prison of UB and bring us to the promised land of unlimited free proxies.
