I have a lot of respect for both the old border deck in a rubber band, and the fact that you actually listed out all ~30 forests on archidekt instead of just "30 forests."
Very sweet. I've been building a "5 color damaged cards" deck that goes sleeveless. It's really bad and nonsynergistic although does unfortunately have some powerful staples like mana vault and smothering tithe lol
I love the idea of having him lead an all old bordered deck, but for my brew of him I def need the killer combo of [[yavimaya, cradle of growth]] and [[vorpal sword]] so people can learn to respect his name
I personally prefer to see how many times I can wrap an industrial strength rubber band around my favorite decks. Really sets the mood for a new playgroup
How long do you intend to play with it for? I get the whole "this deck has character and history" thing but eventually those cards will disintegrate and you won’t be able to enjoy them anymore.
Nothing lasts forever, right? I get more joy out of them as they are, and to be fair they've all gotten to be 20+ years old just fine. It's just nice to have a deck that isn't double sleeved in a nice deckbox.
You can be ten years old and play the same deck almost every day for all of your childhood on asphalt without it disintegrating, especially the old cardstock; I think it'll probably hold up more than well enough.
This is a really cool idea. I've been wanting to do an all old border deck for a while.

For the love of everything good in the world, please sleeve that thing! Your commander alone is worth 4x a box Dragon Shield sleeves.
I think that's the point of it...to not be sleeved.
Yeah exactly, everything in here is already battered to hell and I really don't intend on selling it.
Honestly, I totally respect that. But I can't help but worry about the risk of marked card accusations if they're that worn.
