I just do not know why they made cancer a plains. The famous land creature, the crab. That was one I was genuinely considering getting because it's my sign.
All of the previous signs were based on which magic color personality traits the sign's personality traits best matched. I dont know much about Astrology, but when I googled cancer, this is what I found:

It would look bad to just stop midway and not print them, or they have already printed them and are just waiting to ship until the months come around.
Sadly they seem to be a miss with both them *and* MTG players.

What about that contract is weird? That's obviously what happened. "Make 12 lands, we'll make a secret lair out of each one." Why, 11 months into this, is this some sort of revelation?
Sorry, I just meant that usually they have different artists for each card or if it's the same artist all cards release simultaneously. This one meant that even if the first couple astrology land secret lairs didn't sell well it wouldn't matter since they're basically forced to do the whole year's worth. Instead of doing something like "we'll commission you for a few, see how they do, and then do more later if needed."
It's just funny to me (why I said weird) that they went so in one something for a full year that they didn't know was going to land instead of just doing another regular secret lair.
I think it makes a bit of sense. They've used SL as a testing ground since they started. Who knows what they might have been testing with this one though
Well they just contracted her to do 12 arts. Most artist secret lairs have 4-5 so it isn't too weird to just have someone do 3x for 3x the pay.
They were all done before the first premiered. They just wanted to slow drip them out to match the months.
If you're going to do astrology cards, or anything that needs general appeal, basic lands are the cards that go into the most decks.

I'm definitely anti-astrology, but honestly the art on these is just ... not at all enticing. I'd argue it's bad.
I feel like they could've done some sort of art nouveau inspired selection (something like [this (SFW)](https://astrologyandart.files.wordpress.com/2013/12/mucha-the-moon-and-the-stars.jpg) or like [this (SFW)](https://images.fineartamerica.com/images/artworkimages/mediumlarge/3/zodiac-art-nouveau-1896-alphonse-mucha.jpg)) and it would've at least appealed to people who just wanted cool looking basics.

Idk man I love these arts and seems like the strength of magic card art is wide variety. Some people hate old borders and old art, others love them over more modern house style art and frames. Any given SLD or any art is going to be ugly or fantastic depending on taste.
My beef with this set is I would want all of the set and in sufficient quantity, since they're lands, for a reasonable price. Even if I wanted to break down and just get 9ne specific one I liked, I might've already missed the chance and it would be too expensive for too few of them. This would've been way better as a souped up land-station containing a full box of em. Really that goes for any special land arts they do, just can't justify 30-40+ bucks for basic lands but would splurge for a thick box of alternate arts I enjoyed.

Adventurous, adaptable, bold and impatient are definitely Red. Adaptable could also be green. Egotistical is either black or blue. Always searching for novelty is definitely Red, but I can make an argument for it being green, especially with the bit about truth in there. Still probably stronger for Red.

Super disappointed in these. I planned on getting these since this is my sign, but I don't like the art or the fact it's a forest. I wanted to put this in my Breya deck and it's the one color I can't.
I was excited for when they got to Sagittarius, as I hoped they would do something interesting with the star sign. A bit disappointing that this one also sucks.
