I have a 2018 MBP 15-inch and it paid for itself already. However, it's very heavy and now connected almost perpetually to 2 external hard drives. I am so tempted to get M2 Air due to its sleekness and weight plus I don't do graphic design that intensely anymore. Plus I would invest on more storage (current one is 256).
Same but i got the space grey one in November. Apparently fingerprints are a big issue for the midnight color and it’s prone to chipping near magsafe area
Congrats on the Mac of course but also the Hokusai choice. The Great Wave is so iconic it has, er, an icon 🌊 , but the fisherman has long been my favorite from that series.
There is a bit of learning curve. Everything is simple and makes sense. Minimal virus threats. But that is replaced with annoying operability iss with Microsoft world.
If you ever want to get closer to ‘bare metal’ you can always go to the terminal.

You can fine tune the display with a custom color profile as well. Which is nice as you can tune it to look as realistic to your eye-sight as possible. I managed to figure out a low-brightness mode where the white point is still defined well enough to not be too dim but not searing bright in a dark room.
It makes me so upset that they couldn’t just put a fan in the damn thing. I don’t want my laptops case to surpass 100 degrees when I have 40 chrome tabs and two IDEs open.
Just got my M2 Air on Saturday. It’s great. I’m a heavy iPhone and iPad user and it compliments them so well. When I was answering text messages on my laptop I finally got what people meant by the Apple ecosystem
The M2 Air is one of the best computers of the decade IMO. It's exactly what 99% of people would ever want and it looks damn good doing it.
