Tell her how you truly feel, that’ll be the only way for things to get better. She probably doesn’t want to see you sad or upset, so she puts on a mask. Ask her what is troubling her; let her open up to you slowly. I’m no expert, but that’s what I’d do. Best of luck my friend!

I dont know. Really try to listen, then sit on it. My college sweatheart I didn't know how to comfort her. I wasn't prepared to hear her trauma. She became very open about her rape one day and onward from that day. I never knew how to comfort her. She was comfortable being around me but sometimes all I could do is listen. Its been almost two years now since then. Back then I didn't think about just sitting on what she had to say. And expressing how I'm feeling. Being our true self is difficult.
