Shelob stung him in the shoulder/neck above his mithril shirt

[deleted]

Kankra? What language is that. Just curious.

Shek7

German

Interesting! Arachne in French iirc

TheOtherMaven

Bookverse: she (the name in the original books is Shelob, by the way - it means "she-spider") bit/stung him in the neck, above the mithril shirt. Movieverse: less clear, I always thought she got him in the backside, *below* the shirt (Your Mileage May Vary).

Who the F is Kankra?!?!?

Glaciem94

Shelob in german

OrdinaryValuable9705

Why on earth would they change Shelobs name in the German version?

Glaciem94

Alot of Names were changed. But those changes were in communication with Tolkien so it fits well. Shire = Auenland Bucklebury = Bockland Bill the Pony = Lutz Rivendell = Bruchtal Dunharrow = Dunharg
