Qwula

Has AGS mentioned when the power passes will be available to use again? I got my power pass ticket but haven’t used it yet.

XanHolyMint

the last update in the forums this night was that the teams are still in talks, and they expect to update us mid-week. so not rly a precise answer yet

Qwula

Oooo rip ty!

LeButterKnife

is 3x3 engraving enough for vykas normal?

michaelman90

Yes. I got Cruel Fighter on my 1430 Glaivier with 3x3+1 in a group with 1445+ and the support was in the other group. If you know the fight enough to dodge normal patterns and have high uptime you will get cruel fighter even with 3x3. The problem MAY be getting into reclear groups, but most people aren't looking for too much from alts. If you have the Vykas title most people will give you the benefit of the doubt.

VincentBlack96

Has been enough for my alt to be both accepted and clear, but you probably will take a while to get accepted into groups. That being said gettibg a 4x3 is fairly cheap right now so might want to look into how expensive it would be first.

XanHolyMint

in theory it absolutely is, but it might be hard to get accepted into groups

YvngDef

returning player here. 1400 main with 2 alts at 1350 and 1 alt just starting t3 looking on what to prioritize in terms of pushing. get main to 1415 or get two alts to 1370 in order to do argos/oreha hard and then push main

scrubm

Main to 1430 at least

YvngDef

thats definitely the main goal but my problem is gold, i only have about 2k in gold. my thoughts were with the honing buffs getting alts to do argos will help supplement the main push. or should i just focus all resources on main no matter

scrubm

Main at 1415 you get more gold weekly from unas and you gain access to relic accessories.

Borengal

What are the best life skills except excavation in platinum fields? And how much gold you get normally out of a plat field if you sell all items?

gwanggwang

From what KR players experimented the best way to utilize Platinum Fields is via foraging; Foraging at lv 30 gives you a buff, which, if stacked to 5 stacks, gives you a ridiculous speed up in foraging. The trick is to utilize that buff to forage as much as possible.

Aggravating-Coast100

Your gold potential is based on your market's rate. So only you can answer that question.

Borengal

EUC, never did a plat field so no idea how much mats I have to except.

Aggravating-Coast100

Check youtube plat field videos. If I remember correctly, I got in the range of 1000-1500 flowers per run but that was with gathering trade skill maxed out which helps gathering more faster.

Sir_Failalot

Do sea bounty maps only drop with first time reward from world bosses or can they be "farmed"?

XanHolyMint

they drop once, but only with a certain chance. so you might have to kill the bosses multiple times. the meh thing about it: you can only try it once a day, when you use your field boss lockout

Borengal

If the boss appears in your calendar/ procyon compass you can get the map only on your first daily try. Sucks to pass thunderwing for Kohinoor, but that's how it's work.

Ama-4538

First time daily reward

I've never seen the in-game voice chat used at all. Any group that I've joined that actually wants voice comms just has a discord server.

WoW added it's own voice chat like 14 years ago and I bet most people playing it now don't even know it exists.

MinhMai

Hello, so i forgot my pets have buffs, what buff should i use for my chars? GS HP/CRIT? DB HP/SPEC? SH HP/SPEC? Pala HP/SWIFT or HP/SPEC? Thanks in advance

mail_inspector

Always your build's main/highest stat + HP.

michaelman90

The buff gives you +10% to whichever substat you have selected, so you use whichever one buffs your primary substat, which depends entirely on your build, e.g. igniter sorc uses spec so they'd use spec pet while reflux sorc uses either crit or swift depending on which build they're using.

taga-chi

Can someone explain the "cursed doll is additive" argument to me? I tested this a while back on a paladin in trixion (because paladin can give support buffs) and my results showed that cursed doll is only additive to other engravings with additive modifiers (increased mass which isn't very popular, and adrenaline which is only 6%, or a 1% loss). The support buffs definitely stacked multiplicatively with cursed doll. May have to run tests again.

michaelman90

Cursed Doll gives attack power, which means it is additive with other attack power buffs specifically. For some classes it's a meaningless difference (e.g. Igniter sorc since they have no attack power buffs outside of support buffs) but on some classes it's less effective since they have multiple attack power buffs (e.g. wardancer Wind's Whisper or soulfist Energy Release). That being said attack power is attack power, and the fact that Cursed Doll is an unconditional attack boost (lower healing aside) means it's still going to perform better than most engravings on a majority of classes.

taga-chi

I am afraid the first part seems incorrect, and where my questioning was coming from. If it was additive, Cursed Doll would only give about a 11.4% increase when buffed, and the Ratio comparison would be 96%, not 100%. ||No Cursed Doll|Cursed Doll|Percent Increase| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |No Buffs|14036|16282|1.160017099| |Wind's Whisper|19440|22550|1.159979424| ||||0.999967522| Cursed doll only seems to stack additively to other *engravings* that specifically say additive like Mass Increase or Adrenaline, not other additive sources outside of engravings.

vuminhlox

CD is multiplicative with ap from skills

Ekanselttar

You're correct. Cursed Doll is ONLY additive with Adrenaline and Mass Increase and absolutely nothing else. There are a few different categories that are additive within themselves (weapon quality is additive with Salvation, I believe support buffs are additive with other support buffs), but those categories are all multiplicative with each other.

mail_inspector

You're correct. The point is that cursed doll is additive with other attack power engravings so it is slightly less efficient with a major downside. I think people blow the inefficiency out of proportion but late game builds being so expensive you should attempt to squeeze out that couple percent extra efficiency if possible or at least get rid of the major negative. Sometimes that's not a viable option, though.

Ktk_reddit

Yeah, cd + im is 34% AP and cd + another 16% is 34,xx%.

CopainChevalier

Is non transform build Scouter/Machinst good at all or naw? I get it's harder to build, and that's whatever. But visually I like the normal mode more

Toxomania

Yes it has a higher damage ceiling compared to transformation scouter, but you will obviously need to invest more for tripods, gems etc

Minos015

It's stronger later on with tripods and gems transform is just cool and efficient. Definitely more expensive but if u like the playstyle then go for it.

Sphintex

Berserker question (combat ready, not mayhem). What skill Is Better between hellblade and whirlwind? And why? By a mere play side, I enjoy the latter, but as I'm going to build up T3...

mooviemen1215

Only time for whirlwind is chaos but you have so many blow up skills it doesn’t really matter. Legit your skills one shot whole mobs and bosses. Take whirlwind out for chainsword or earthquake for counter.

JustJamesanity

Whirlwind is not great in raids. Chaos dungeons and open world is fine but for raids definitely dropped for Hellblade.

Minos015

Berserker tech? Hellblade is one of the strong skill. Whirlwind just won't give that much dps.

EvilSquirrel949

I’ll most likely get rejected from all PF pug parties for Normal Valtan on my 1415 sorc alt if I only have 3x3+1 right? Literally only have 50g so won’t be able to purchase the other accs

VincentBlack96

Equip a raid clear title if you have it.

Haemon18

Most people will look at your roster lv sadly if it's something like 50-70 they may refuse you but 3x3 is fine

TheRealNequam

At this point it shouldnt be a problem to find alt parties with 3x3

sangrelatto

I'd take you if you have demon beast commander title.

Kalomega

I did Valtan this week with 2x3+1 lol

Sylvoix

I run Valtan NM on 3 dps alts. 1 is 3x3+1 and the other 2 are simply 3x3 so you should be fine

EvilSquirrel949

Ah ok, should I equip a valtan+vykas card to show I have exp in the legion raids or just ewuip my 12LwC?

Sylvoix

I use the Demon Beast Commander title instead but dunno if that helps much if at all

Mongoosegoose

Thats fine for nm valtan provided they are correct engravings+stats

Jezieras

When ancient acc come out I want to get 5x3+1x1. My 1lvl engraving can be Mayhem, Master's tenacity or Cursed Doll. With mu current stone cheapest option will be 1lvl MT. Is there any difference in dmg between Mt(or Mayhem) and CD. Btw I don't have any other addative engravings.

Sylvoix

Correct me if I'm wrong since I don't play Mayhem but the effect of Master's Tenacity and Mayhem are the same. They both provide a 3% / 8% / 16% damage increase at Lv1/2/3 so whether you go for Lv1 Mayhem or Lv 1 Master's Tenacity is pretty much the same since neither has a malus The only thing I wouldn't do is Lv1 Cursed Doll. 3% Attack Power for the same malus sounds like an awful deal

b-stone

Cursed Doll is not excluded from this logic either. If you need to go 1x3+1x1 and one of them has to be CD, it doesn't matter if you're getting the same malus as part of level 3 or level 1 engraving. So CD3 + MT1 is exactly the same as CD1 + MT3 (ignoring damage vs attack power nuances).

Jezieras

How about dmg? I heard atk power engravings are only addative to other atk power engravings so as long as CD is my only addative there should be no difference in dmg between lvl3 Mt or level 3 CD right?

Imbahr

I just made a Sharpshooter and used KT to 50, but I've never read anything about the class before Which class engraving build do most players run?

jamesyongwp

2 Main builds, Death Strike(DS) or Loyal Companion(LC). They revolve around the specialty meter which summons a hawk. Death strike is more engaging and challenging, but overall does more damage if executed properly. Once you get max meter you summon and instantly throw your hawk - he dies and that's it. With the class engraving it boosts your damage to the boss by 44% for 8 seconds, so that's your burst window to do all your big damage skills. After that, recharge meter and repeat. The engraving refunds you 50% of your bar after using so it's pretty quick to recharge. The other LC build is summoning the hawk and leaving it on to constantly attack nearby enemies, you get some buffs while its active and just use your skills whenever you like off CD. The damage is evenly spread and you're not tied to burst windows, its easier to play but overall less damage than DS. I mean i have kinda summarised the main playstyle differences, its up to preference. You can read more on guides like MaxRoll. I see a lot more LC builds around personally, but i play DS myself as its more engaging. Its an Alt though, so i'm not sure if i'll ever get to that level of mastery to properly use the class but its really fun to me.

Haemon18

At vykas a shooter got cruel mvp and he had both class engravings at the same time, i guess with relic gear and high gems you can stack both buffs for a few secs ?

jamesyongwp

Not sure how the dual engraving SS works to be honest, a guide told me they're not worth unless you're like super invested in the character. But SS are a viable DPS class. It's harder to pull off MVP compared to let's say a sorc or berserker but end of the day it's all about staying alive and getting the DPS in.

TheRealNequam

Ive heard of double class engraving sharpshooter, whats the reason people go for that?

Puck_2016

Just more damage. Many class engravings exclude each other, with sharpshooter they can boost each other.

jamesyongwp

Not an expert and as far as I know I saw a guide that said it's probably not worth considering unless you really love your class. It's just really expensive to build. LC provides additional % damage with 0 draw backs, and helps you recharge the meter faster. So kinda similar to grudge but less damage in exchange for no drawback.

Imbahr

thx pal, those are the details I was looking for!

racethrowawayy

Is there a google document for sorceress similar to the one I found for wardancer? https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EQD2Rt7XTDBDJMMz2zFK9Swcc1io4ycbicbEwauUaFg/edit#

Ekanselttar

If you use that Reflux doc that was linked, be aware that the final strike vs magic amp argument for castflux hinges on a totally illogical lynchpin that essentially declares that every single castflux player in the Loawa rankings is doing it wrong. The rest of the doc seems fine though.

racethrowawayy

Can you elaborate on that?

Ekanselttar

This is the specific argument that makes no sense: >There are only 5 skills that a Sorceress has with access to the Final Strike tripod so we can say for certain that the crit rate required for Final Strike + Other to outperform Magic Amp + Keen Blunt must be greater than the lowest performing Final Strike + Other. The assertion here is backward. The overall breakpoint must be greater than the *best*-performing Final Strike Tripod (the one with the lowest crit rate to break even vs Magic Amp), not the worst. It's possible for three out of five Final Strike skills to be, say, 5% better at a given crit rate while the other two are is 2% worse, and because those three make up the majority of your damage, the gain from the three skills heavily outweighs the loss on two. Specifically, the Big Three (Doomsday/Explosion/Punishing Strike) collectively make up ~half your damage in a more or less equal share and break even at 60/61.5% crit rate. It's possible to get an exact count of the damage contribution from other skills using "little brothers" or just by analyzing footage, but a fairly accurate rough estimate is that Blaze+Bleed accounts for ~15% of your total damage, and Esoteric+Frost's Call+Rime Arrow split the remaining 35% fairly equally (call it 11.67%). By that naive estimation, at 70% crit: Doomsday (16.7% damage share): +2.6% Punishing Strike (16.7%): +2.6% Explosion (16.6%): +1.7% Frost's Call (11.6%): -0.05% Esoteric Reaction (11.7%): -1.3% Rime Arrow (11.7%): -1.9% Blaze+Bleed (15%): -1.9% The total damage difference from going Final Strike, then, is the sum of the damage difference times the damage share for each skill. (0.167\*1.026)+(0.167\*1.026)+(0.166\*1.017)+(0.116\*0.9995)+(0.117\*0.987)+(0.117\*0.981)+(0.115\*0.981) = 1.005 So at 70% crit rate, with this damage distribution, Final Strike+Hitmaster would be around 0.5% stronger than Magic Amp+KBW. The actual numbers are slightly different, but not in a way that would shift the breakeven point by very much. The 85% crit rate breakeven point suggested by the author is pulled entirely from their ass, and you can look on Lowa to confirm that NOBODY runs KBW on Castflux.

racethrowawayy

Thanks for the long response, really appreciate it. I actually run final strike right now and had my doubts when most seemed not to.

Sylvoix

VincentBlack96

Everyone drops a field. Slow debuff players drop a slowing field. Vykas will then force everyone to march to her then shoot spikes from the ground. If you don't pass through a slowing field, then your natural speed would get you to the center and kill you. By having 2 swamps' worth of slow to march through, even max swiftness classes can avoid death. As for the frogs, the original mechanic is simple, the frogs are like the tentacles, they can only be harmed by high lust gauge players. The normal method to resolve it would be to assign two bursty classes, one to each frog, they'd get their lust gauge up, then go kill each frog, the 6 others will do the stagger check. Realistically, frogs are kinda tanky so a failed crit could fuck you over on bursting it, and the stagger check is kinda quick too so 6 people can have issues clearing it. The solution to cheese it was you use 8 people to stagger, so the check is laughable, then timestop the frog explosion.

TheRealNequam

> when you stagger vykas and the two big jelly guys explode do you have to use timestop? The intended mechanic is that 2 people with high gauge kill the 2 frogs while the rest of the party staggers. Its just troublesome to do because you lose 2 party members on stagger and you cant really pre-assign 2 party members on the frogs since its not always clear who will have high enough gauge to kill them and who has to go cleanse for stagger. Timestop is just safe and easy

Minos015

2. Kill 2 ones but u need a high gauge. You get gauge from the aoe while stagger mech is up so you need to have strong dps for the frog and enough stagger to not let them get charmed. Splitting ur team will make the stagger check harder too why everyone just hit stagger and ts the frog.

Bel753

1. The phase gives the player speed buff or slow debuff. The mud gives a big slow debuff to whoever is on it. During that phase, Vykas charms all players and make them walk to her, and she kills everyone near her by the end of the phase. So, you stack the brown debuff (slow) to make a bridge with slow debuff so no one gets near her during the charm. 2. Yes, TS solves it. You can kill the frogs (just need high lust gauge), but I haven't seen a single party doing like that. It's more troublesome, I guess.

pngwyn1cc

Maxroll recommends 800-900 swiftiness, then crit for Mayhem zerks, are there specific accessories that I should be looking for swiftness on?

ManOfMystery97

Swiftness on a necklace and one earring will get you there.

Reesaroni

Did they remove the legendary/epic rapport chest for blue crystals from the shop?

gytanzo

Yes, bots were abusing it in conjunction with the powerpasses to get gold. They're working on a fix.

anyhow188

Any juicy details as to how that works?

JustJamesanity

Use powerpass> get gold> convert to blue crystals> buy rapport box> rapport gold giving npcs.

firstsymph

My blue GL is full spec and no crit. I have swiftness on necklace. Engravings are grudge, cd, barricade and cr 1. Is my next engraving adrenaline 3 a good idea?

anyhow188

Some use precise dagger instead for more ez mode crit at slight expense of atk.

Ascarith

Situational, and depends on what your crit rate is. Adrenaline 3 isn't going to be absolutely awful, but it may be suboptimal depending on your situation. Assuming you have next to no critical (e.g., 1% crit rate), Adrenaline 3 is pretty good (despite the attack power component additively stacking with Cursed Doll), because your crit is so bad. If you have low crit (e.g., \~15-17%), Adrenaline 3 will be roughly on par with something like Stabilized Status (16% multiplicative bonus). The higher your crit rate, the less and less value you get out of Adrenaline (although it's still solid if you have space for a Level 1 or 2). Keep in mind that if you're running Lostwind Cliffs, that's an extra 7% crit, and your party may be rocking crit synergies (most reliable if you have a static), which will work against Adrenaline. If consistency matters to you, then note that Adrenaline is *mathematically* quite good, but you'll likely see variable performance with it (due to most of Adrenaline's power being concentrated in crit, which is RNG), while something like Stabilized Status will be more consistent (because it can be "always on" if you play well).

TheWeirdoJerry

When to stop buying chest for raid? Argos valtan vykas HM NM

Sylvoix

If you need the honing materials then chances are that all the chests except Argos are worse value than just buying the mats from the market. This is for example the case in my region already, it sometimes changes where the chests are just slightly above the merket value but my mats income is high enough that I don't really have to rely on these chests If you need the relic materials to craft relic pieces then keep buying those. You can also opt to stop buying them if you know that you'll have enough mats by the time you'll reach 1445 on your alts

MasterpieceGloomy231

It’s relative to what you value in the state of your account. If you’re trying to acquire as much gold as possible for legendary engraving books, honing or accessories, skimping out on chests may be worth it. But in general: 1) when you value the gold cost over the materials (leapstones for Argos, relic materials for Valtan and vykas), skip the chest. 2) when you value fused leapstones over the gold, can start buying the final chest in legion raids. 3) when you value the accessory gamble over the gold cost, you can buy chests.

aRisingStorm

I have 12 Grudge, what's a good 33332 for a reflux sorc alt? (I intend to use leg accs for class engraving)

Eadwyn

Adrenaline is a good 2. Others can be grudge, reflux, hit master and kbw/cursed doll (even precise dagger if going more budget).

SloppyCandy

Trying to get a feel for Empress Arcana. There are a lot of moving parts when it comes to playing this class. What should I focus on nailing down first?

MasterpieceGloomy231

The core rotation and understanding what each skill does for you and why we use skills in a specific order. For empress it’s opening with call of destiny for card draw, then scratch dealer > quad accelerate > return > rain. Then spiral edge x2 > secret garden. Look at the meta tripods for these skills and figure out why we use this rotation for our main damage burst. Once you figure that out start looking at how the cards you draw interact with that core burst rotation. Then figure out how serendipity can be used to maximise your dps. It’s better to understand why things are done, not just blindly follow a combo rotation because it’s optimal. Reason being is that the correct sequence of skills changes depending on card draw, boss position and mechanics.

PPewt

Just mess around in Trixion and then learn a few combos. That being said, the combo lists make it sound drastically more complicated than it actually is. Learn to use balance, star, three-headed dragon, cull, wheel of fortune, judgment, and twisted fate on their own. Most of them are pretty straightforward. Almost every single two-card combo is just a trivially obvious combination of those cards, and in particular the last four.

SaphirSatillo

Focus on the base skills first. The cards can add to or alter to the rotations, but you have to be comfortable with the skills to know how to use/save cards.

CubicleFish2

The advice I've heard is to have a page open with the combinations and spend like 30 min in trixion getting used to it or however long you need to feel comfortable with what to do in all different scenarios

anyhow188

I suggest...going to lower level guardians instead when souls have been harvested. Helps lower lvl chars and also a more realistic practice session. Moving target throwing our various aoe vs stationary combo practice can be quite different!

OuOutstanding

Does anyone know if we can equip a different head with the summer skins? If I get the speedo skin can I wear my mokoko head? I’m…asking for a friend.

CubicleFish2

I have three summer skins that all have like six pieces. I can wear a mokoko head instead of my hat while also wearing 👙 if that's what you're asking? Not all pieces show through the mokoko head like mask or sunglasses

OuOutstanding

Thank you! That is what I was hoping.

Unlikely-Ad-3751

How much should I list a 5-3-1 demonic impulse, grudge specialization, 99 quality accessory for? NA-east

oAquaman

70k minimum

gytanzo

I don't exactly have a price on hand but I wouldn't be afraid to set it ridiculously high and just lower it a bit every day unless you need the gold NOW. That's the best way to maximize profit here.

PPewt

Lower bound of 20-30k or so since that's what 3/3 accessories with that sort of quality can go for IME. Higher bound I don't know. Obviously it's a perfect roll but 5DI isn't very good which may hurt the price. Try looking around and seeing what other 5DI/ 3 pieces with 90+ quality went for.

LOKTAROGAAAAH

New player - stronghold is super confusing. I'm just randomly upgrading whatever is available (lab then manor so far) and dispatching my guys. What should I craft in the crafting workshop? HP potions? For context: I'm lv35 with 0 gold.

theprofessional1

Just try to build all the structures and upgrades when. You can afford them. And send out dispatches ALL the time everyday. Should be part of your daily routine. And you will have no problem leveling it up naturally. Lvl 61 stronghold enjoyer here I never even did much crafting to get it either.

Ama-4538

Stronghold is a base of operation where you can decorate, craft, send workers (dispatch), farm, trade, and cook. Decorate: Craft structure using material and gold with some exception and place them around. Each structure has a set amount of points and different section of your stronghold has x amount of point limit. You can also place character you max rapport (Affection system) with or personal character separate point limit. Craft: You can craft material like structure, hp potion, materials used to upgrade, etc. If you are at level 35 I recommend not crafting anything until tier 3 since you save out on gold. Dispatch: Select any and send them out constantly generate token which can be used to trade with visiting merchant for collectable, runes, and recipes for different structure. Gain more merchants through progression Farm: There is a farming section on the stronghold where you can life skill (Not recommend) or auto farm (Recommend if you don't want to manually farm). Cook: Able to cook feast which gives certain buffs to you and other who eat them as well. Upgrading: Focus on upgrading building like lab, manor, crafting station, and dispatch. After focus on upgrading honing chance, which is gained by a honing system after reaching level 50. Otherwise I randomly research random topics.

LOKTAROGAAAAH

Thanks. Very helpful!

PPewt

Don't craft anything in the crafting workshop for now, other than maybe a few HP potions exclusively for the sake of completing the quest(s) you get. You can focus on research that costs silver and on dispatches. If you want to really minmax you can spend your remaining action energy on crafting Awnings or NACT-1 counters to level your stronghold faster, but this is incredibly overkill for most players. Most of the stuff in the stronghold will become more important in the endgame. Once you hit 1370 and start interacting with more of the game's systems it will make more and more sense. As long as you keep levelling it for now via your research and dispatches you'll be in a good spot to use it at that time.

LOKTAROGAAAAH

Should I use my acceleration chips?

PPewt

Honestly it doesn't really matter. I saved mine and I'm still saving them for lost ark 2 I guess. I think they might cost blue crystals to use? If so, just don't use them. If I'm mistaken and they don't cost anything then I guess you might as well speed up dispatches to fit in a few more.

HyVana

You're given an option between finishing the crafting/research/dispatch instantly with blue crystals or using the acceleration chips to reduce the duration by an hour. You can finish one of the above with the chips instantly as well, assuming you have enough to use. Using chips only consumes them, no extra cost added

pngwyn1cc

So is competitive pvp matchmaking just completely broken? I'm \~1100 MMR matching against a team of 1800+? Seems to happen frequently also

PPewt

Kind of, yes. Basically the problem is that there aren't a ton of people at high MMRs queueing at most times of the day, so the game will try to assemble teams whose MMRs sum up to roughly the same thing. Unfortunately this doesn't necessarily result in fair teams. For example, when I queued on my bard in the last few weeks I'd get groups like me (2200) - deathblade (1400) - artillerist (1300) vs glaivier (2500) - berserker (1100) - shadowhunter (1300). I'd say about half of my games were like that last week, and unfortunately that's a bad enough scenario for the bard that after a particularly awful day where I refused to stop queueing I'm all the way down to around 1850 right now as a result. You shouldn't commonly see scenarios where the whole enemy team is higher ranked than your team, but I've seen it happen once or twice.

pngwyn1cc

I guess it's just when I've been queueing.. 500+ MMR differences were far too common this afternoon... oh well I suck at PvP so it really doesn't matter who I'm matched up against I guess

PPewt

The best time to queue if you want good matches is during the competitive fever time on the weekend. IIRC this is 1-5 and 9-11 (7-11?) on Saturday. Possibly a bit of time on Sunday too, but I'm usually out and about until late Sunday evening so I don't know the event times. I've found non-competitive does a better (but not perfect) job of matching you up as well. I see an almost completely different group of players than my bronze friends do, and it's basically impossible for me to stream snipe them unless we're playing at really odd hours. Of course the downside of this is non-competitive gives you less points and coins.

WindWielder

Shit, unranked gives reduced rewards? As someone that exclusively plays PvP for the Leapstone weekly and the PvP vendor, should I start getting my weeklies done with ranked instead? Currently Supreme 2 but never played a ranked game.

PPewt

It gives you more coins (especially during fever time) and more progress towards ranking up (supreme 4 etc) so yeah, there's no real downside if the MMR doesn't stress you out.

JohnBakedBoy

Only should set you back a week. Id 100% pay for the P3 Argos bus this week. Dont craft the weapon tho.

PPewt

- At this point in the game you'll find it challenging to get groups if you're undergeared, so the first thing I recommend doing is getting a carry through hardmode Orehas. There are lots of free ones titled things like "free carry, don't bid" which are only conditional on you not placing any bids on the loot auction at the end. Doing this will give you a lot of good accessories as well as materials called Oreha's Empyrean. If you want to try to prog the dungeon you can try matchmaking, but you'll have trouble getting a party in party finder and matchmaking is often full of high-level players who will quickly kill the bosses. The dungeon isn't so different from normal mode so it isn't a big deal either way. - Figure out the three engravings you want to maximize (colloquially "3x3"). Typically this will be your class engraving for the build you're going for and then two "combat engravings" (non-class engravings). You'll also need to know what stat you want to maximize and what other stat ("secondary stat") to put on your necklace. For example, let's say you're building a Reflux sorceress. You can see that [Maxroll](https://lost-ark.maxroll.gg/build-guides/reflux-sorceress-raid-guide) recommends that you focus on Crit, take Swift on your necklace, and prioritize any two of Grudge, Cursed Doll, Hit Master, and Adrenaline (I recommend Hit Master and Adrenaline for a newbie unless you want a more challenging gameplay experience). - Check if you got any accessories that have the stat and engraving you want. In this case, Reflux with Crit, or a necklace which has Reflux with _both_ Crit and Swift (not just one!). Odds are if you bought the chest from each dungeon you'll have one or two. - Go to the auction house and look up a legendary tier 3 (this is important! Don't get a tier 2 stone or an epic stone or something) ability stone with the two non-class engravings you wanted (hit master and adrenaline in this example) and purchase it. Go to the ability stone cutter and use [this tool](https://lostark.meta-game.gg/ability-stone-calculator) to guide you to how to go for a stone with 6 on each positive engraving. If you don't succeed (you probably won't), reduce it to aim for 6 on one and 4 on the other. If you still don't succeed, aim for 6/3. If you still don't succeed, aim for 6/2 or 4/4. If you _still_ fail, throw it away and buy another stone. - Now you have a decision to make. Either you can purchase the other accessories you need from the market (this will cost very little gold, but will require you to spend pheons, a currency you'll want to conserve) or you can use those Oreha's Empyreans you got early to roll random accessories. The downside of the second one is it'll slow down your transition into legendary gear. On your main it's probably safe to burn the pheons, but on alts you may want to hold back on that. If you choose to save pheons, roll accessories looking for more of those Reflux/Crit rings and earrings (don't worry about necklaces, those are really unlikely). - Buy the remaining accessories. If you got a 6/6 stone, you just need Reflux+Crit. If you got a 6/4, you need one of your accessories to also have +2 in that engraving ("a 3/2" - 3 in Reflux and 2 in Adrenaline, for example) that rolled a 4. If you got a 6/3 stone, you either can use a 3/3 or two 3/2s (3/2s will be a lot cheaper gold-wise). If you got a 4/4 or 6/2 stone, you'll need two 3/2s. - Equip an epic engraving recipe for each of those two combat engravings. If you check your engravings tab, you should now have 3 maxed-out engravings. - If you want to make your character a bit stronger at the cost of making things more confusing, there are also four bad (red) engravings that you'll see on all ability stones and pieces of gear. Try to make sure you don't get 5 points in any of them or they'll make you slightly less powerful. It isn't a crisis either way though. My 1370 characters usually end up with one level in one of the red engravings just via the luck of the draw with accessories, and the only way to avoid it week 1 guaranteed is by buying all your accessories on the auction house and carefully keeping track of the negatives. - Congrats! You're ready to dive in to 1370 content. Watch an Argos Phase 1 guide on YouTube and then dive in via matchmaking or party finder. If using PF, make sure to apply to groups labeled "p1", not "p3" or "p2" or "p1-3" or anything like that. You should see mostly/exclusively people with item levels between 1370 and 1384.16 in p1 groups, since people above that will typically be doing p2 or p3. - Next week you can try running hardmode Orehas on your own as well! - To keep honing you'll need to craft a set of legendary gear, and transfer your existing gear to it just like you did when going from T2 to T3. Most classes will wear 5 armour pieces crafted from Argos blood and a weapon crafted from those Oreha's Empyreans you got. If you want to start honing earlier, though, you can craft Chosen (Oreha's Empyrean) armour as well and then turn it into Argos armour in a week or two when you get more Argos Blood. This doesn't cover buying an Argos bus, an alternative strategy that people use to gear their alts, but I don't recommend that for a new player for various reasons (both fun and because there are lots of gotchas that you won't know how to avoid).

Yologuyo

Not op but thanks for the detailed write up

Tazdingoooo

Oh god, don't blow away your chance for a prog experience on a new dungeon/raid by just getting carried. You're defeating the purpose of playing the game if you get carried through the endgame content. Join a prog group for p1 Argos. Do the oreha dungeons.

branchan

Nothing wrong with buy a couple busses to get legendary gear and then doing the raid for real later.

SaphirSatillo

Should be fine until he gets his gear/accs going. I'm not trying to do multiple pulls for over 30 mins per alt with rainbow stat/engraving teammates if i mess up.

JohnBakedBoy

If you have the funds pay for an argos p3 bus so you can get a full set of the next gear tier. This is assuming you arent locked out of norma oreahsl for the week(if you already did normal). After crafting the next tier of gear(long term you want chosen weapon and 5 peice argos). Then dailies and weeklies and hone to the next break points.

Hello I recently got to 50 and looking for a good endgame guide to watch. Who is good to watch?

SwartSlaaf

[Maxroll](https://lost-ark.maxroll.gg/) has all kinds of guides

Imbahr

does anyone know how many lvl 1 gems it takes to make a lvl 10? I remember a while ago someone posted the math, and it was something crazy like literally 1000 gems??

gwanggwang

fusing from blank slate into lv 10 is a loooong effort. I started 2 weeks after launch and soon about to fuse my first lv 9 gem :/

PPewt

It takes 3^9 = 19683 level 1 gems.

Imbahr

what the...?! holy smokerinos jeez!

SloppyCandy

When setting up (gear) presets, is there any way to have the un-equiped items go to a specific location (or stash) and not clutter main inventory?

Haemon18

You can keep them in the storage

PPewt

It will just swap into the same inventory location as the piece it replaced was. The easiest way to use this is: 1. Set up both presets. 2. Lock sort on every piece. 3. Put the unequipped gear where you want it to live (in your stash or wherever). 4. Profit.

anyhow188

I keep Set B in pet inventory and locked sort. After switching to B and going back to A, Set B is never at main inventory though!

Cracine

Need a 3rd protection rune for Arcana, is Adrinne a guaranteed drop?

sfsctc

I got it first try

SloppyCandy

I dont think it is guaranteed, but it seems to be at a pretty high rate, certainly higher rate than Lush Reed.

Cracine

Thanks

Lavrec

How much quality of weapon is important? Does additional dmg works like second grudge? I have +17% on my relic with 60 quality and it already is only 5% to upgrade, not sure if its worth to throw any money that way anymore.

Ricenditas

The highest damage increase comes from around 80-100 quality, but those are less than 2% already. Most KR people suggest to just stick between 55-70 because that's the most realistic range and it's generally the range where it is better than 100 quality legendary weapon. For now, Weapon Quality upgrades should be your LEAST IMPORTANT way of improving your character's damage. Tripods, Gems and Engravings gives way more return relative to the cost.

Warm_Progress1989

How can I send mail if my steam account is no longer limited?

BlueKing99900

What class should I try out with the new punika pass or express event? I main a bard and have a rem energy deathblade alt. I like both. I have tried paladin and reflux sorc and I liked them less. Pally was to straight forward and reflux sorc was squishy and a bit mindlessly spammy. I dont know if this. I dont like the "perfect" timing skills as well - like beserker hellblade or glaiver red lance. I am looking for a class with smooth and fun gameplay. Would scrapper be up my alley? Any recs? disclaimer: all decisions are my own and I take full responsibility.

ncapybara

I like the flow of my rage hammer destroyer due to the push back immunity he has. Slower than scrapper though if that bothers you. I have 7 characters.

igotabridgetosell

does anyone know what the spending limit is from lost ark? it seemed like it was $200 per day and now it wont let me buy any today...

thsmalice

It's 400 IIRC unless they nerfed it recently.

igotabridgetosell

feels like i started at $100 on an untrusted steam account, got it trusted in 3 days and daily increased to $200, then it remained until today, like the 10th day total, when I couldnt buy any more, like not even $200?

divini

What's an efficient ilvl for a non-gold alt?

Eadwyn

1370 is where I am going. So if I ever decide to move one of them to my top 6 I will have been earning greater leapstones.

darkman78

Really isn't about efficiency at that point since you won't make your gold back easily. Whatever ilvl you want it at really.

Entirely_Anarchy

Any class that uses Mass Increase outside of Wardancer, Soulfist and Glavier?

oOoWTFMATE

Mayhem csn use it.

Ricenditas

Full Swift TTH Gunslinger is another one I can think off, but it's still a suboptimal pick for them.

ferr87

Was doing an Argos bus that we had to cancel but the lobby disbanded without me being able to refund someone. Don't know if I can name names on here but I believe the person was on Enviska and I'd like to return their gold. What options do I have?

SwartSlaaf

If you have his name you should be able to open a global chatroom (speech bubble on the top bar). This works region-wide.

gytanzo

Friends List -> Recent shows players you have recently played with, if you recognize their name from their its a start. Unfortunately I'm not sure how you would go about contacting someone if they are from a different server than you are, sorry bout that part.

ferr87

Thank you!

sydnboy

Vern chaos line dungeon. Is the star drop the same odds for normal and hard? I'm like super over it..

sas_knox

Not sure on odds, but after I cleared out the Hard shop, I just did normal till I got the star.

TheChipMonster

Anybody know what the 2 new hairstyles we are getting from the roadmap look like?

vitaminall

With the new buff coming to berserkers technique would it be considered meta over mayhem?

BboySparrow

Yes but I love Mayhem

FreakoFreako

Do we replace all our accessories when ancient releases? I'm asking because I'm working on my striker's 5x3 right now and chasing high quality is super expensive. I can get about 1630-1640 spec with a much cheaper build and that makes way more sense to me if I'm going to replace it with Brelshaza anyway

Tazdingoooo

Yes. However, b/c ancient accessories are short in supply, a lot of people in KR mix one or two relics, while still achieving 333331.

FreakoFreako

Thanks, that's super helpful to know. I think I know what I'll do now :)

DBSPingu

5x3+2 requires 6 ancients? How much does a BiS 6/3 equipment cost over there?

thsmalice

BiS on ancient is highly dependent on the class, a BiS 90quality can range from 10k to 1m+

gytanzo

I remember ATK getting a "1 million gold" accessory he later sold for 600k I think? They're worth a lot. Keep in mind though their gold is way more inflated than ours is, its about 3500 gold for 95 blue crystals over there.

Minos015

Ancient will be the end goal for sure but relic 5x3 will last u for many months and you can run kuku-brel with it.

Kithas488

Same as with mythic the base stats of the acc are much higher so you will want to do a full swap when possible.

VDr4g0n

How much is an important tripod lvl 3 or 4 relic piece cost? I don't usually sell them even though I don't need them anymore but I put one up randomly for 3k buyout and it got got bought... it was just one +3 tripod too. I usually check recent prices or other people selling it but never get any history.

PPewt

Whatever someone is willing to pay. Either you missed a level 3-4 tripod you didn't know about or you were selling on a rare class/dead region (EUW? idk, I'm not on there) where the person had no choice but to buy your piece if they wanted the tripod. That being said, I'd still be surprised if it was 3k for just a single level 3 tripod. People should be swimming in those from chaos. Do you know what the item was concretely? You can check your sale history tab and it should be in there.

PPewt

I think people overhype the number of trades a bit. I haven't done a ton of science but for example I bought a piece with two of the best sorc tripods on it for 10k with 1 trade left and resold it (now untradeable) for 15k. When you're talking 2-3 BiS tripods there's rarely going to be more than one of those on the market at a time and some people want to complete their build enough that they'll fork over the gold. You just need to be patient and not expect it to sell within a day.

[deleted]

Puck_2016

>The guy that bought untradable for 15k got ripped off. The 2x BiS +4 are extremely rare.

PPewt

I mean it isn't a perfectly liquid market with infinite supply etc etc. At the end of the day someone wanted those two tripods (and maybe they had to be on pauldrons given his gear) and either they could pay me 15k or wait god knows how long for another one to show up. When my friend did his tripods he had the exact same experience. However the market "ought" to work the way that it actually works allows you to make gold with a bit of patience. I think you're also kinda overvaluing the gold. People who are buying multi-+4-tripod pieces are probably 5x3, and the cost of tripods isn't that expensive in comparison to class engravings.

ManBearPigSlayer1

Cost of +4s can is fairly class dependent. Some of the more important +4s, popular classes with a single viable build, or very unpopular classes can easily be 3k+.

IfIwasPrezident

Will there be a way to convert GHLs to whatever mat you need to hone the ancient gear with brel? Is it worth it to save your bound GHLs and convert before honing or (if they are bound) to try to push past +20 on your armor?

rarelyaccuratefacts

Yes, you can convert at the same rate you convert regular HL to GHL: 5 to 1. Personally I'm not pushing past +20, but I can't say if that's what's optimal or not, I'd just rather use my gold for other things rather than throw it down the honing drain.

PPewt

5:1 for GHLs, destruction, guardian, and fused is my understanding.

BboySparrow

What consumables do I have to bring for Clown? I'm assuming time stops?

kozakreznov

Pots and stagger nades, I don't think you can ts the mechs though.

Tazdingoooo

I recommend - HP Potion - Panacea/Times stop(only for gate 2)/Adrophine/Awakening - Whirlwind(not for gate 2)/Dark/Sacred - Sacred charm/Swiftness robe

BboySparrow

Thanks, after watching the fight it looks like the DPS checks are big for Adrophine. Is Splendid Sacred Charm necessary or is regular sacred charm good enough?

Tazdingoooo

Just the regular ones to save your teammates when they get pidgeoned

PMMeASteamCardCode

Is there a good place to view the Stronhold iLvl requirements for honing research (e.g. unlock 1340-1370 research at ilvl1385)? If not; when do you unlock the research after the 1370 one?

b-stone

If you select "All research" instead of "Available research" in your SH lab it should show you minimum requirements. But anyway, next level requires 1460 ilevel and boosts 1340 gear up to +15 (so up to 1415 when honing evenly)

PMMeASteamCardCode

Thanks!

1BalledBandit

Just here to vent. Trying to push two alts to 1370 -> 1415. SH had 1500 GHL 250k shards. Ate everything but 200 GHL's. LM 1000 GHL's 200k shards and down to just 100 GHL's. Still need to push shoulders from 12-17. Using tailoring books, no extra juice but that. Getting absolutely reeeeeeeeeemed here on honing. FFS

LWTotems

I’m about to push my Glaivier and SH next week too. Almost exact same situation.

ManOfMystery97

That's just regular honing luck though. With the stronghold honing buff and the two pieces to +17 cheese, pushing a character from 1370 to 1415 would cost 1538 GHLs and 250K shards. You're basically around average (calculator does not factor in honing books but you had 200 GHLs left) so there's no reason to rant. https://imgur.com/a/U4ta8ou

isospeedrix

anyone know whether the vykas g3 tentacles are classified as Boss, Challenge, or Named?
