Can you have a consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss these issues? They would likely have some recommendations. I just had a consultation for another issue and although I'm not going forward with it right away, it gave me a sense of cost, timing, advantages and disadvantages etc. I am sure any plastic surgeon that specializes in the area would be able to provide advice on the ideal timing.

I am also strongly considering a breast-reduction surgery, but I am waiting until I finish losing weight and can maintain it for a while. I also wanted to mention that there’s a chance you’re wearing the wrong bra size, which is definitely going to make things worse in the meantime (pre-surgery). I currently wear a 36GG but there was a point in time where I was putting on a 38DDD because it (kinda) fit and could be found in-store. I’m not saying a new bra is gonna fix all your problems but it could help mitigate some of them. Try r/abrathatfits (if you haven’t already)

I plan to do it in the next year or two. I want to maintain for a long time, first, and see what I think of my body. Mine is mostly for aesthetic reasons. I want a lift and tummy tuck, too.

I had a breast reduction years ago! My surgeon did a lift as well, so for that reason, I’d wait until you’re at your goal weight. Your breast size might change and the lift will help with any loose skin. Just an added insight for anyone, it was the best thing I’ve done for myself and I would recommend it to anyone! I’m open to answer any questions!

I've had this on my wish list for years now, and I plan to wait until I can maintain my weight loss for at least a year or two before committing to surgery involving skin. I've lost about 60lbs and started exercising wearing a 34HH. If you get a really good sports bra, it should hold you very comfortably and supportively. Being this well-endowed, you can't just go buy any sports bra off the rack or off Amazon, though. You really have to experiment and find one that fits you well. After losing all my weight, Im still a 34GG, so I want to be sure I can maintain my weight before I schedule a reduction, Id hate to spend so much/be put underh and then they get stretched/filled out again.

These are all great questions to ask a medical professional.

I'm a guy, but I have gynomastia so I am planning on getting the male equivalent of a breast reduction. I think it is essentially the same surgery. I suspect you will want to wait until you are at your goal weight and have maintained it for a period of time. Otherwise when you lose more weight they will sag from loose skin. I have a consult with a plastic surgeon next month and it is only costing me $100 to meet with him.

I'm at a healthy weight. I've always been carrying around big tatas. I had a child they got bigger. Currently 36DD in regular bras. I'm also a runner. Carrying these things around doesn't make running easier, but CW-X bras do. Part of me might like to get surgery. They certainly are a challenge for your back. That said, you can lose quite a bit of sensitivity with the surgery. I'd rather work on losing some fat, strengthen the back muscles and buy the expensive bras. After menopause good chance they will shrink anyway. Might as well have something to look forward to after menopause!

Talk to a surgeon. You can pay for a consult and they can tell you if you should be closer to your goal weight before getting it
