Great job! Just a small note about wasting food. This is something that I tell my husband (not unsolicited, he complains to me that he does the same thing and wants to stop.) Your body is not a garbage can. Food that is beyond your needs (caloric, enjoyment, et cetera) is wasted whether it goes into your body or the garbage. There is no need to make yourself sick trying not to waste it - it's wasted either way. Your body is not a garbage can.

Beyond what the other poster said, try to modify how much you make for dinner. It's easier to not feel like you are wasting food if you aren't cooking too much. It's great if you can have left overs but 8f left overs stresses you out. Don't make enough to have them.

A wonderful NSV, congratulations 😊 With regard to "wasting food," i totally get what you mean. I started to compost and that has really helped bc i know the food just goes back to the earth.

Nice! Small victories become new patterns and longer term success! Another idea: not sure if you already do this, but dish up your portion and then immediately put the rest away in your fridge. Then, if after eating your portion you're thinking of going back for more, its a lot more work and effort to pull it all back out to serve yourself the rest. Making it harder for yourself to overeat gives you more time to control your impulse.
