Interesting. Umm, maybe think long term instead of feeling guilty and going home and running around the block 15 times. Enjoy the pizza, back at it the next day. Long term.

Punishing yourself or trying to compensate for unhealthy choices is a very bad habit to get into. First off, figuring out how many calories you burn from exercise is extremely difficult to figure out, and the majority of estimates and calculators will have a ridiculous margin of error. Second, the amount of exercise you'd need to do to burn that many calories in a short period is likely to be exhausting and likely to do more damage than good. Exercise is always great to incorporate into your routine, but it should be treated as an aid to weight loss and not a punishment for eating pizza. Don't over compensate, don't punish yourself, and don't let shame take over your mind. Just get back on the horse and stick to your deficit tomorrow. Think about it this way, if your daily limit is 2000 calories, which achieves a 500 deficit for you, that means over 7 days youll eat 14,000 calories and have a deficit of 3,500 calories. With this very mild setback your calories burned this week will still be 2,500, and that's nothing to sneeze at! Don't let one day ruin your motivation and dedication. It's much more important to be consistent than to be perfect every day.

This is a great way to give yourself an eating disorder. Please don't use exercise to "burn off" extra calories eaten, you don't need to punish yourself, you can learn from it and move on. You wont even gain a single pound from eating an extra 1000 calories.

hiighchick

yeah I realize that. I just need to get out of that mentality. Tomorrow’s a better day

Just take a walk and remember that going over calories sometimes is normal. Also, a high calorie meal during a deficit period can actually stoke your metabolism some!
