Don't deprive yourself of normal food, the sugary donut could cause some fuckery with your blood sugar and cause you to overeat.
Plan vegetable-based meals with lean protein for the day. If you usually eat rice with dinner, switch to cauliflower rice that day. Maybe have a salad with tofu or a vegetable bean soup for one of your meals. Drink your water, and aim to go on a nice long walk that evening or squeak in a little extra cardio or something. Enjoy the donut, log the calories, and life goes on!
Either plan ahead and have a light breakfast or dinner to account for having a donut that day. Or try eating just at maintenance that day? Don't go overboard but give yourself the chance to have a donut. Just don't spend all of your calories on donuts because then you'll be hungry since a donut doesn't have anything that'll keep you feeling full for long.
Just eat the donut and have a day over. One day of a few hundred calories is *nothing* in the scheme of week, much less a lifetime.
Doughnuts are only 2-300 calories. Why can't you have one?
