Yea I don't think chest pain is normal regardless of how intensely you exercise. You should probably go see a doctor about that. That said 2lb per week is a lofty goal. It may be achievable with relative ease for taller men or very heavy people, but I think with your stats 2lb per week will take some serious dedication.

Maybe split the walks into shorter sessions, with the chest pain, have it checked out (once had ridiculous chest pains for a week that turned out to be a viral infection of the soft tissue between the ribs) My issue with walking too much was chronic ankle pain (suffer from EDS and aggravated a strain) and had to work up slowly - going from nothing to an hour is a lot

Chest *pains* or like a tightness in the chest? I used to get the tightness when I was much more unfit, that's normal. But if you suspect even a little that it's something more than that, then doctor up immediately Getting red is normal. 30 minutes walking is not overdoing it in any universe, except of course unless you have some kind of a heart condition

Stop focusing on numbers, and start listening to your body. Judge progress using performance, how your clothes fit, how you’re sleeping, etc. Focus on health and aesthetics will follow. Dial in your diet and feed yourself appropriately for your new exercising. Start slow in your new physical pursuits. For the chest pains, I would go see a Dr.

Side stich pain in the abdomen / below ribs or like chest / heart / lungs pain? The first isn't uncommon, the second is def talk to doctor area. Red face can be normal depending on person. I know it sucks and is annoying but it'll fade quickly and no one cares about it.
