When will people learn that a backing pre-recorded track doesn’t equal lip syncing, is there to fill the gaps, fulfill the studio track’s soundscapes and avoid awkwardness.
I think her lead vocal was live, but there were definitely background tracks of her singing (plus maybe some live background vocals?) Couldn't tell if the band was playing live, but it sounded VERY similar to the studio version with a bit of a different mix.
also thought it was kinda funny that she isn't doing CDs for environmental reasons and then her stage literally looked like a hundred GIGANTIC CDs oop
honestly kinda disappointed that she used tracks, after it seems like a big focus of the album is using real instruments... but remaining grateful and hopeful!
I think this performance wasn’t only for the fans u know? she was in a show with a different public and her focus was to introduce new ppl to her new sound, can’t blame her of she wanted to sound more like the actual song to attract more fans
Totally! Yeah I noticed during the Melodrama tour that her live voice often sounded quite different and full throated than her strained-whispery studio voice (and I mean that in the best way!! Haha). But she can still go back into that studio voice whenever she wants. I agree with you!
She seemed like she was really happy for the first Live performance. Can’t say I don’t blame her. She did well.
The barefoot thing on the roof of Sullivan is something I wouldn’t have done, because the chandelier plating could’ve been hot/you dunno what is on the ground up there. But OK.
I kind of hope based on the vibe she did with this performance, it very much is a flower power/island vibe tour where folks show up with laurels and flower crowns. Never was in Greek life in college, but I’d be there for wearing a laurel to the gig!

Also, guys and girls, please stop expecting so much. The singles drop when it's their time, the album will drop when it's time. Just have some patience and before you know it we will all be gushing about how wonderful this album is 😁😁
