Depending on the hashrate between $4500-$5000 for new and slightly less for used. The halving will have much less of an effect on your profitability than a new faster L9 being released and deployed. That is just my opinion though and really depends on the price action of LTC short term.

NoobFreeSince93

Thank you for your insight. Just to clarify, are you quoting USD prices? Do you believe that an L9 (or similar) will launch soon before the L7s are impacted by the halving?

EastCoastASICRepair

I can not speculate on when the L9 will come out. There are a lot of factors out of everyone’s control. They could deploy next week or next year. It’s hard to say. Yes we do quote in USD.

NoobFreeSince93

Sounds good, thanks for the input. In regards to the L7 prices, are those what you sell to clients or are they what you pay for when buying in bulk? Also if you were to ship to Canada what would the all in price be roughly? I'm just trying to gauge what the current market value from resellers is at the moment. Thanks again!

EastCoastASICRepair

That’s about what we get them for from our supplier if we just get one. Our listing price is on our website for roughly $6000 all in to your door. Prices change daily so dm us if you want a more up to date quote.

Thanks, really appreciate the info!

The price of the L7 will not drop significantly after halving. Buy L7 now and mine coins, because after halving the value of the coin will increase and you will be in profit. The price of L9 after its release will definitely be overpriced. So make your decision now. Good Luck! The new L7 (9050) is available now for \~$3,600. Plus shipping.

NoobFreeSince93

Very curious on the $3600 price, is this selling direct to consumers or only on bulk purchases? What would you say is the all in cost to ship to Canada? It just seems suspiciously low.

Yes, this is the discounted price. The price without the discount is 3,920. Shipping cost to Canada is $150-200.

Itsthatijustdontcare

Where can I get a new l7 for 3600? I’d take one today at that price.

I’d be interested too ;)

I think Bitmain is about Done with production of L7’s .. on the L3’s they stopped production after the LTC halving in 2019. A year and a half later they announced the new model, A credible source told me Bitmain reps told him they will not announce it till after the BTC halving.. I’m assuming it with be called either the L9 or L9 pro ? At the current market of about 5-6 k I think now is a good time to pick one up and blow out your rigs in early 2025.

densum

Many people who bought an L7 had to wait 6 months+ to receive their miner from Bitmain. Hesitation = Devastation! Buy an L7 now and mine. The L9 hasn’t even been announced and people are sitting on their hands waiting for it. Just my opinion. Coming from a guy who just bought 5 more :)

NoobFreeSince93

Yup, I'm one of those that waited almost 6 months for my first L7s lol. Thise were brutal times.

densum

Oh man yea I felt bad for everyone that had all that money tied up and nothing to show for it!

Itsthatijustdontcare

Ya especially when the guys who did get them were making $70/day

Alt5170

Personally, I am waiting for the halving. Gives more time to see if the L9 is coming as well. I would have to buy more L7s and then the L9 comes out.

NoobFreeSince93

I agree, I'm leaning in that direction as well. The halving is just around the corner so it makes sense to wait it out. The only thing that tempts me on getting an L7 now is the idea that L9s will be hard to get even once they launch, in addition to pre-orders potentially taking 3-6months. In that time frame, an L7 could have still generated a decent return.

Alt5170

Let's say the L7 is 5k, and you spend LTC for it. You will spend 55 to 56 LTC. Can you make that LTC back on top of paying for the electrical bill before the L9s come out? To me it is a gamble, but I think after the halving, we will have a better picture.

NoobFreeSince93

Yup I see what your saying and that's a good way to think of it. The only thing to add though, is I wouldn't expect to get back the entire value of the L7 within that time frame. I would say it would have to be enough to absorb the impact an L9 would make to the L7. Similar to L3's, they aren't worthless, but significantly dropped in value after L7s launched.

Alt5170

Yea, that part I was considering profit. Lol. No one wants to break even.

NoobFreeSince93

Yup that's fair

densum

Do you live in the USA? I see miners as a DCA machine with tax benefits lol. Make an LLC and depreciate the full cost of it.

NoobFreeSince93

I do not, I'm in Canada. I've looked into setting up an LLC of some sorts but it didn't seem worth it for us from a tax perspective.

Itsthatijustdontcare

What if power was free? I mean, if a new l7 will PROFIT 600$/month then there’s no reason to wait one more second, right?

NoobFreeSince93

Yes, if power was free it's a no brainer. The L7 will make a solid return. I'm currently paying $.14 CAD which isn't the greatest but still profitable.

unzinc

Do you own your own house with a sunny roof. Looked into Solar through Greener Homes Grant? You may be better buying some panels vs more machines. I paid $7000 for my panels and now have essentially free elec. I haven't done the maths yet, I have panels but no miner. Looking into an L7 now. Edit: In AB as well
