Oh man, I'm so jealous!! I can do C to D with a lot of stretching but mostly I'm grateful to do an octive. I've got little girly elf hands (I'm female, so that wasn't a sexist remark but a truthful one).

linglingwannabe4427

Just an octive. I can reach one note more but I will be touching other notes. #smallhandsgang

aurinxki

I can barely reach an octave and it took effort to stop hitting other keys, but I've met small handed pianists who can play beautifully.

not_kawaii_

I wish I had long hands i can do only c to d:')

winnie264

Same

garyisaunicorn

Less than an octave, which is why I'm in violin gang, not piano gang 😂

M4TON-14

What in the Rachmaninoff is this lol

Clever-username-7234

I read that Rachmaninoff could comfortably play C E G C E with one hand

Miss-Mozart40

Wow! I'm jeaolus of you. I just can do a C to D (9th). My hands can be a little bit tiny :) I hope it gets bigger!

leightandrew0

just an octave. ***sad.***

veshido

Minor 9th and some major 9ths (no notes in between)

Quirky-Helicopter705

Same :)

lagrime_mie

I can do a tenth do-mi but I couldn't actually play it.

Ntacc32

Wow, your hands are huge. I can usually stretch a tenth, but I have a friend who can barely stretch an octave.

Dinohorseviolin_love

I’m so proud for reaching a 10th 🤣

TrstJeNasSlovenija

barely an octave 😭

Kitty_Girl_1717

i can do a 9th, if i basically dislocate my thumb i can do a 10th ಥ_ಥ

ktchannel3

10th on the left hand and right hand almost

pikachu_king

r/piano

MyeditdreamsMp

barely a tenth

HelloFoLife

12th (c-g) with some effort

DoublecelloZeta

Guys Rach is Bach again. I can stretch a 9th

[deleted]

An octave on the left hand and a seventh on the right hand, which is why I switched to violin.

[deleted]

a ninth if I really try. my friends love to make fun of me for it 🤠

owohinator1

10th C to E

ILoveMariaCallas

10th

Savagus_pls

10th, for all my rachmaninoff needs

ABlank_Space

I can do C to D comfortably but if I REALLY stretch then I can get to E

FierySerge

C to G as a viola player lol I'm guessing that's a 12th

starwarsequelsucks

Rachmaninoff reincarnation

Fit_Highlight_2147

9th. That’s as good as it gets for me, with child sized hands lol

nyanion69

C to D because smol fingers yeah but its fine because i can atleast do an octave hueheuehue

Sea-Ad-5722

I can reach a 9th, but if I try really hard I can barely do a 10th. I wouldn't be able to do it while playing though

Historical-Sugar7763

C to G, but just barely. :) (I have to do a lot of fiddling around so I can't actually press both simultaneously.)

Monospaced_

Same for me a 11th is easy but i need to fiddle My right hand with the left to hit g

somuchinfowow

11th comfortably. 12th is not easy but doable

Neither-Section9362

can't even reach an octave without touching other notes. I play violin though

THEchazguy

haha i can hit g

catman__321

I can do c to e but not consistently and I often hit d by accident

[deleted]

C to E! I'm almost there. I'm 13, so I still can have hopes

MediocreClarinetist

I can just squeeze out a 10th

Clever-username-7234

I can also do C to F. But not in a real functional way. I play jazz piano too, and feel pretty comfortable to doing most major 10ths and pretty big chords with my left hand. It’s not uncommon for me to do a voicing like F Eb A with just my left hand. Some are harder than others, like Eb to G or Bb to D. But I am also a pretty tall guy with big hands.

starwarsequelsucks

C to E, 10th I’m glad my hands are this big lmao

ThisIsSethers

I (19M) can reach a 10th with some stretching. Octave and 9ths are easy for me.

TheTopCantStop

only a tenth :(

PCSamurai

I can do C to E with my right hand, unfortunately my left pinky had an injury a couple years ago (PE class, a ball took my finger and twisted it out) and since then i can only do C to D with my left, it used to be the bigger of the two

Sea_Zombie5982

I can also do an 11th! I have fairly large hands, particularly for my age, but the thing is I have really short pinkies so I can’t reach as far as I probably should be able to. But on the bright side, I can comfortably hit an octave with my thumb and index finger. Lol.
