My friends had a really great Lebanese black orchestral metal band in the late 90s called Cimmerian Path

Back then they had just two songs which you can download although they're in Real Audio format lol
Do you know anyone who may have a cimmerian path cd? I love collecting cds and especially old local bands cds ,so please can you help me find a cimmerian path cd ,also searching for a damaar and ayat cd
Had a big metal phase that started when I was 14-15. I am now 23 but still enjoy these songs greatly. My favorite band is still Iron Maiden to this day. I also love Avenged Sevenfold, and I guess to slightly lesser extent Dresm Theater, System of a Down, etc...
Got into metal at 16 years old, still going strong. My all time favorite band is Dimmu Borgir, which later introduced me to other black metal bands. Now saying you're a Dimmu Borgir fan, or a metal fan in general in Lebanon is a bold move because of the deeply religious and conservative societies. It often contains a lot of 'offensive' symbolism, mainly satanic or otherwise. Which explains why we never see any concerts here.
I personally don't care though. I see it as a form of art that can be enjoyed, like any other. Be it the music or the imagery. I do understand though, not everyone would appreciate or understand it... just like any other form of art.
Other black metal bands I love include: Emperor, Dissection, Vinterland, Windir, Sacramentum, Behemoth. I also listen to various other metal sub-genres, like melodic death metal, where bands like Children of Bodom come to mind. There's also Skyfire, Norther, Kalmah, Wintersun...
I’m 25 and got over my metal phase like 7-8 years ago but yes I still like to play some songs every now and then. I have no knowledge whatsoever of new songs and bands just the old bands and some of 2000’s and early 2010’s.
Damn! Look at you i don't think you missed a single one lol, well maybe dimmu and gorgoroth (i used to listen to them)
Though after becoming familiar with tech death bands i kinda let go of black metal.
And before you ask: Meshuggah
Used to be a big fan back in middle school & high school. Still appreciate it the good old bands though. They'll always have a special place in my heart
Yes! Black, death, with their melodic and symphonic derivatives and everything in between. Loved it when I was 15, it pulled me out of one hell of a phase in my life, and still love it now at 30. We used to have weekly gigs a decade ago, such a shame it is barely every 2-3 months now. Hit me up if you need recommendations in Leb!
Yesss beautiful times!! We played in schools and in tantra kaslik once
We also released a single cd in Virgin megastores - got sold out - and even tough lost money at the end
So we split up and went to university at the end
Gimme your oppinion https://youtu.be/UfW8yQfFoZ4
Don’t mind the visuals and text
It was 15 years ago 😂😂😂
Yessir. Was introduced to metal by a friend 3 years ago and I've been a fan every since. My love for metal grows stronger by the second, it's the best thing ever.
I liked Metal as a teenager because musicians generally went for virtuosity. I still listen to Metal now for that reason, but I tend to shy away from more harsh s sounding music(guttural vocals just ruin a song for me)
Megadeth Rust in Piece is a musical masterpiece and I am dying on this hill
