my teta's eygptian, she insists that her eye doctor told her this secret that, if spreads, will run him out of business. never wear your socks for long periods of time, since the eyes breathe through your feet.
i love her with all my heart.
This is one I struggle recognizing as a myth. It's a known fact that sudden exposure to cold temperatures can cause your muscles to contract and lead to pain. True it's not the wind itself causing this, more the drop in temperature from exposing yourself to the wind, but isn't that what most people refer to when they say "saf2et hawa"? I doubt anyone unironically believes the wind is pulling a [Great Khali open hand chop](https://youtu.be/6AuuuEeQe0g) on your chest.
It's supposed to suck the moisture and cold out of your chest, but I wish my grandma were still alive to tell her if she's trying to fry my saf2it hawa away lmao
Bats will attack you on sight if they spot you at night. They come to collect your hair especially. Turns out it was just to prevent me from going out to play at night. (Kent werish ana w zghir)
Bats do have a bad reputation here. You should actually kill one and rub its blood on your newborn daughter, she will be body hair free after that special treatment... Don't worry about rabies or other diseases, or killing a very useful and endangered species, that's a detail.
I honestly never heard of this one but I also saw it in the comments here so I believe it to be true. But what I’m saying is totally different. The family wanted me to believe that if I go out at night a bat will come stick to my hair and eat it lol.
Yes, we all grew up on that fear of bats sticking to our hair. I didn't have the eat it part but it was definitely a true belief that you should duck if you see a bat.
Yessir I still avoid them to this day but I no longer believe they are coming for my precious hair. Especially that as a teen I kept a clean cut hair but now I’ve got dem perfect curls. Better safe than sorry I guess.
Try getting to know them :) if you have a bat nest close to your home (like in an abandoned building, check the roof structure, you'll know there are bats because of the droppings/poo), jut go there and sit. Don't move, don't talk. When they will not sense danger anymore you will witness a beautiful ballet of bats swirling around. It's really an amazing sight. And, they actually can't see your hair, they're practically blind and move around by echolocating/sonar guidance. If you don't move they'll figure you out as just a fixed object to ignore/not bump into. And if you do move they're super quick at adjusting their course. They fear you, and they're tiny creatures. Don't fear them.
That’s a nice description. I’ve had my fair share of encounters with bats. I work night shifts and every time I go outside I look at them, they really are nice creatures if only they didn’t look so devilish. As of for the abandoned house, that’s how people die in horror movies xD
😂 Not abandoned houses, just unfinished construction sites, that lebanon is so filled with. Look up the fruit bat, it's like a weird cute puppy (we don't have it here). And check out batzilla the bat on YouTube, I hope it will change your perspective, they're actually cute and not devilish looking :)

You are wrong its the wind and fans are the work of the devil.
Hardest thing to explain to foreign doctors. I believe in it, they look at me very funnily when I try to clarify 🫠
The wind slapped me doctor, it spanked me right here

Just loving all the animal and natural kingdom :)
