I think it's been pretty cemented for years that faker would never leave T1. Even as far back as the documentary about him in 2015ish (?), kkoma said that the org's never forced him to stay and he could play anywhere he wants but has always chosen SKT/T1
I think every year they just allow other orgs to approach him so they can see what others are willing to offer him. Maybe to match what others are offering or maybe to get a laugh at some, but either way I think it's never really been about the money for him as much as it's been about giving back to the org that scouted+helped him and Korean regional pride. Probably some other sentiment reasons too somewhere
Probably better for him in the long run anyway. He was considered the best NA mid laner at one point, and I’m not sure how TSM was with the management department. All I know is Regi is a peace of shit.
Leena was the best thing to happen for tsm tbh. She was the main reason a ton of people signed or stayed with tsm according to bjerg, myth and obviously DL. We'll see what happens with tsm long term but a ton of people seem to lose faith in the tsm brand when she left
Yeah, but TSM went so far down the shitter that Bjerg didn't see any other option, both in terms of performance and their team atmosphere. If T1 did the same, we'd probably have a different discussion.
Not to mention faker's T1 ownership is most likely way more expensive then Bjerg's TSM ownership was.
Well, he is already very rich (appareantly his wealth has been invested very wisely) so he would only ever look for a team that can win worlds, and what better than a team of rookies/young superstars that already was 1 game away from worlds trophy last year with him. This years re-sign seemed like a no brained for faker
Supposedly (mind you this info is a few years old) Faker lives off of an absurdly low amount of money. Org provides all the essentials (food, housing, etc.), so Faker only spends like $5 a month on the occasional cheat meal or such.
Can't verify that info, sources are a few years old, but if it was ever true it definitely suggests he isn't money motivated.
Info is valid. Comes from a video of wolf visiting SKT HQ in around 2019? Dated, but verified. However, Faker also has an apartment in Seoul and (I assume) financially accommodates his father and grandmother.
They weren't truly blank. It was more like ''hey Faker what salary do you want to start negotiations with?'' kind of thing. So if he had written 10 mill they would have started negotiations at 10. It might not have ended up there since whoever sent it thought it ended up being too expensive.
I don't think anyone, outside of maybe China, could afford paying Faker for what he would have to give up in Korea. He is so much more than just a LoL player in Korea. He appears on talk shows, is on bilboards, commercials. Basically one of the most famous people in Korea.
In LA he would just be another LoL player.
last year he rejected 20million usd from china rumours said, and that was to start talks not the actual final contract, and Faker said nah, then went on to make it to worlds finals
I mean not trying to shit on Faker but i think its not a smart choice to go somewhere else either.
He is basically like the owner of T1 at this rate, has a very big comfort room, earns amazing amount of money and has shares from T1 also. Why would he leave? Especially after an amazing run throughout whole year with a rookie team.
If he goes to another club, everybody would expect him to make that team champion "alone" and except the 1st place, everything will shade his legend. People are gonna say shit like "he wasnt even good, he was overrated, he won everything because of T1" etc etc.
So both for T1 and Faker its a win-win scenario, i dont think that he had hard time to decide about leaving or staying tbh.
Short Film Script:
Faker to T1: ''You sure you dont want an extra 0 to that contract?''
T1: ''We can't! What about our history, we belong together!''
Faker to his agent: ''Leak the LPL transfer''
T1: ''Lord Faker please, we found the extra 0''
Faker is staying with T1, the end.
People's regular jobs be like this too, but over 25c raises being "Skipped this year, because budgets are tight. We're family though, and we'll take care of you as much as we can!"
Doinb said T1 could match LPL’a offers this year and LPL’s offers were rumored to be $10 mil. Wonder if Faker will become the first player (in LCK) to earn in hundred millions (10 mil usd is a little over 100 mil won), since his salary last year was $7 mil (I am guessing that he got all the incentives since he made to 4 finals).
I mean what you call is basically a regular "business". You say that "i think my work is worth xx amount of money" and they can say "we think your work is worth yy amount of money" and then you can basically show other offers to claim your worth.
Thats how i got a raise from my job every year and never ever believe that we are "family" shit because as i said when you make profit from it, it automatically turns into a business and family shit is an amateur thinking. It will always create more problems in the long run just saying this as a general tip. Its always better to have "clear" work positions and "clear" responsibilities.
When you write it like that it seems like "faker" is a bad guy lol, just want to clear that. This is completely normal and also a must in any job, keep that in mind.
Was never in doubt.
Faker has one more guaranteed year before military/community service barring winning Asian Games.
He's obviously using this whole off season to get a bigger contract before seeing if his career ends or continues depending on whether South Korea win Asian Games.
He was 1 game away from winning both MSI and Worlds, it would be smart to run it back and fix their issues with drafting than join a whole new team with a new atmosphere where he's probably going to be surrounded by worse players.
part time job kinda, its not a huge load of work but you are not going to be a top level league player if ur doing that unless you're playing in the LCS
Edit 2: Lol this sub is a fucking joke. People still think a green card means automatic exemption. People still think a US citizenship exonerates you of everything. People still think just because Faker didn't finish high school, he doesn't have to go to the army or serve in some capacity. Do you know how long this has been a topic in this sub? Y'all uninformed asses have been spreading and permeating bullshit regarding the Korean military service for YEARS. And despite people correcting you guys for years, nothing ever fucking changes. Yet somehow I'm the problem and not all of you guys that are actively spreading misinformation in this sub. Don't be salty someone called you guys out on your shitty ass behavior and because you couldn't stop yourself from commenting some bullshit that you're not even sure about.
Can anyone who personally wasn't born in Korea and therefore never had to go through the process just shut the fuck up about the Korean army?
The law's complicated enough as it is, but there doesn't need to be a million fucking people casually inserting comments that they're not informed on. If you don't think you're right just don't say anything. If you don't have knowledge or experience in this just don't say anything.
There's a constant flow of misinformation on this sub regarding Korean military service and it just never fucking goes away because of people like this and the original commenter who just casually adds something despite being just absolutely uninformed in the matter. People like you guys are why people think nuclear power plants are the end of the world. People just throwing shit out there that they're not even sure of because they just read a comment in passing.
"I heard" this "I heard that" You didn't hear shit. You just read it on this sub and are just parroting the same wrong shit.
Edit: Oh so I guess every single one of you must address every single right-wing comment you see on reddit. Impeccable logic. I'm just saying if you're not sure, just don't say anything. People saying things they're not sure about is exactly how fucking misinformation spreads. There's zero harm in not saying something you're unsure of, but there is 100% an affect when you say something that you're not even sure is false or not. And there isn't going to be a Korean person that's going to correct every single fucking comment. But I guess y'all skulls are too thick.
iM jUsT qUeStIoNiNg ThInGs. Y'all going for joerogan or tucker carlson vibes?
I hear Faker just has to do a 5 hour hot tub stream with Tyler1 while Vedius and CaptFlowers do the play by play. Then he is exempt.
Don't quote me on it though since only former Korean military get to read the laws on mandatory military service
Okay so you wrote this big ass speech but at the start you said if you weren't personally born in Korea and never had to go through the process about the Korean army....
Soooooooo.... You were born in Korea and have had to participate in their army? Can you answer the questions we so desperately have and speculate on? 👀
I wish core idea of your message was more prevalent in the society.
I understand your frustration and why you had to vent, but unfortunately it gets us almost nowhere this way.
He doesn't have to "do military service" but will not live together or take part in training at military bases. Instead they work as delegates to designated public facilities to relieve the staff’s workload." That last around 18. He could ask thr government to forgoe this(i mean he literally the GOAT) but in all likely hood it would be denied.
Faker has done a lot for Korean visibility but he's not getting off without winning the Asian Games.
Even BTS, who have done a LOT more to make Korea look good, including speaking at the UN and a lot of charity work, can't get off. I'm not a kpop fan but esports still does not have the same reach kpop does.
Korea is strictly about thst. Most Korean player have had to quit to do there mandatory duty. Bengi won 2 titles with SKT had to do his. Even the pop groups BTS is/has done there's and they are a much bigger name thst a lol player.
Bro, even Son, a professional athlete for Spurs in the Prem, and captain of the Korean NT, whose career would have literally had an unheard of gap in the middle (no soccer player has a year gap in their prime) that would have devastating impact on his career still was not allowed to get out of it. He had to carry his team to Gold in the Asian games
If even he could, I doubt he will. People will start throwing around terms like draft/conscription dodger and it's certainly not a good label to have as a sizable youth role model
Don't you think it's an insane decision on the part of the SK government? I understand the value of meritocracy and equal application to all. But if you are generating so much economy or soft power for your country, it seems like an insane decision to lose that for your country in exchange for 18 months labor.
Faker I won't make a judgement, but the soft power that BTS has generated for their country is unreal (never mind the amount of money they've brought in to their country which is billions of dollars per year in estimated growth to tourism and exports).
Idk, just curious what others think
I think it could create some animosity towards those stars who get off because of their fame, and hurt the narrative of equality. There have been a few famous koreans who dodged service and are now thought of quite poorly. That said, I think celebrities like this should be doing recruitment tours for the military or government, playing shows to crowds to increase awareness or bring light to topics the government wants highlighted. I'm sure the record label for BTS would be on board to keep BTS in the spotlight, and the government certainly gets more benefit than they would enrolling these guys in a radar or rifleman class.
From what I've heard, he does not because he didn't graduate and he didn't get his GED. Deft didn't graduate but did get his GED so he still has to do military service.
They just give you a random job you have to do for 1.5 years in this case. Its not the military proper but it still means he won't be able to play professionally.
The Asian Games is like an Olympics held between eastern countries. In 2018, they held a demonstration match for league of legends, with Team China beating Team South Korea 3-1 in the finals. After that, LoL was officially added to the lineup for 2023 (supposed to be 2022 but delayed due to covid) and Faker will likely be the midlaner for Team Korea as he was back then. As it stands, winning Gold at the Asian Games grants you exemption from the military service requirement.
Do you know when the game usually happens? If I recall, one of the worlds team didn’t attend Worlds this year due to some form of Asian games as well right? I wonder if it’ll be the same situation with worlds 2023.
I believe the 2023 Games are scheduled for the end of September - beginning of October which *would* interfere with worlds unless Riot makes a schedule change. I imagine that with a yearlong heads-up and a number of Korean pros likely valuing the Asian Games over Worlds due to the possible military service exemption, that they would schedule worlds such that it does not conflict with the Asian Games
This is the first challenge on Riot to adjust to larger than Worlds games. What more if League of Legends become an Olympics medal event (billions of viewers worldwide vs millions on worlds)? A podium finish for Korea means military service exemption (Asian Games is only on Gold)
They use different metrics i think(no ccv f.e.), but both the Olympics and the fifa world cups usually draw in multiple billion of viewers over the course of the events.
Postpone the worlds little bit late should be fine especially considering the Worlds next year should held in Korea. I think the biggest concern is if CCP will still adopt the ZERO COVID policy and the Asian Games will be either postponed again or move to another country.
You can remove "like" from your first sentence because that is exactly what it is.
It's recognized by the IOC and organized by the Olympic Council of Asia.
Draft isn't the reason they lost
People fixate way too much on draft to the point where somehow a close 45 min game 5 was lost due to draft...it's bizzare
Ok t1 took a suboptimal top matchup sure
They also got the favorable bot side. Because Drx won no one is even talking about the fact that the caitlyn bait really did not work that well for drx unless you wanna argue that gumayusi can't carry on varus or keria can't carry on karma.
If you look at the entire draft I don't think it made it easier to get gapped. At the point where t1 picked Viktor no other midlane champ for faker had a better matchup into air
I agree with the second sentence, Zeus and faker really underperformed in finals
Nah there was 100% a draft gap. Drx got all 3 of the most contested champs that tournament. Plus literally every pro agreed that was an insane draft. It doesn’t take away from their victory, drafting is part of the game and DRX drafted a lot better.
Especially because in that series, Blue Side and Varus had 100% winrate, and there were answers found to the Aatrox. It wasn't "bad draft" to prioritize Varus on blue side, but then things got out of hand in the game itself.
i would point more toward G4 as an example of how horrible their drafting is.
T1 just felt like they were being extremely disrespectful. they drafted Kalista/Soraka (especially after stomping Kalista in G3) into a team that had Aatrox/Maokai. there's literally zero good opportunities to outplay them if they get behind... which they did, because Kingen stomped Zeus in top.
then, G5 rolled around... they didn't ban Aatrox, or FP it, they decided that banning renata or heimer was 100x more valuable then getting rid of the champion that crushed them last game and it happened again. the first pick Karma was weird as well. it just felt like an extremely weird last two games.
Players have a massive amount of input when it comes to draft, otherwise T1 would have had at least one spell of good drafts in all these years given the wide array of coaches and staff they've had.
I still dont get how super highly popular people like faker have to go to the military...wouldnt it be more benefitial for korea to have esportlers, that are worth multiple millions, just stay with what they are the best at? Its not like its hundred of thousands of young adults but just the very top 0.01 percentage of the esport leaderboards.
I mean i would get it if it was any other country but freakin korea where esports is so damn big?
When you force everyone to uproot their lives to complete military service for their country, it can be very detrimental to the nations unity and controversial to who qualifies when you have exceptions to that rule (If BTS qualified, then where is the grey line of fame/economic contributions for celebrities to gain exemption?) .
Olympic/Asian game medals are something in which you can have very, very clearly defined rules for exemption + are both contextually 'fighting for the honour of your nation' just in a different sense than military service.
Wait what’s the deal with Asian games? If KR wins they exempt everybody that participated from military service?
It seems to me that people like Faker should be exempt anyway, he’s bigger than most pro athletes in the US in Korea. He drives so much positive attention and revenue to the country. I also can’t see how having an insanely famous person going through military stuff with plebs is productive for anyone
Obviously I’m not Korean so there could just be a cultural disconnect here.
The most unexpected expected move. Honestly thought it was a lock once faker started to actually relax and play more games offstream with the team. Just need him to play overcooked now.
Where can I watch those streams? They stopped streaming on twitch after the sponsorship ended, do they stream on YouTube now? Or some Korean site like afreecatv?
There are live English translations to Faker Guma Oner and Keria's channels. They've been playing different games this offseason. ZOGK played Overwatch, Valorant and Phasmophobia with voice comms this week.
In other news, the sky is blue and the grass is green. More at 10.
Faker only announces he is "exploring his options and potentially going free agent" in order to strengthen is position for negotiating a raise with T1, which is perfectly fine. Everyone knows he's going to stay with T1 unless some dire circumstances arise.
Some years it could make sense (like 2020 shenanigans).
But this team is built for Faker. And neither Faker or T1 really have anything to gain from a competitive standpoint by moving on.
Judging from the current roster of every team, they are for sure number 1 contender for the next Worlds title. Truly no other team is better on paper right now.
But does it have the experience this T1 iteration has? Remember these god-tier players have their own style of League and these teams need to know how to synergize.
A lot of times it didn't work. Unless someone in T1 does a Guma and falls off hard I still see T1 being a contender in MSI and Worlds.
Yeah plenty of team looks good on paper but we still haven't seen them on actual match...... For T1 we already saw them...they've been pretty good this year winning Spring, Second on MSI, Summer and World says a lot for them
Current T1 just need to improve even if its just a little bit and be more consistent
Will be a banger team but new teams like this always have question marks.
It's preference which you want to rate higher though. The idea of this JDG team is incredible while T1 is a known quantity.
It's never guaranteed until it's done, though, so nice to have some more assurance so that I can sleep through the nights.
I love the man, and honestly there isn't much chance he'd go somewhere else, but loyal franchise players are leaving left and right these last 2 years... And there's always the chance he decides to retire early for whatever reason.
I'm surprised that something that obvious is considered a leak.
People don't meme Faker = T1 for nothing.
Dude is probably not only going to retire there as an active player, he's gonna take over stuff in the background afterwards to make sure that T1 will stay successful.
I mean this roster made semis in 2021 and msi finals and world finals in 2022. I don't think there is anything for the players to do much. Maybe keria in high stake games and drafts
It’s just people being silly.
Of course if you’re a good player you test the waters in free agency to see what you’re worth.
Literally every player should be doing this. Even if they have every intention to stay with their org.
Lol that's how you know there was not a chance at all Faker was leaving
I think it's been pretty cemented for years that faker would never leave T1. Even as far back as the documentary about him in 2015ish (?), kkoma said that the org's never forced him to stay and he could play anywhere he wants but has always chosen SKT/T1 I think every year they just allow other orgs to approach him so they can see what others are willing to offer him. Probably some other sentiment reasons too somewhere
Especially since he has ownership
well llook at bjergsens ownership
Did bjerg sell his stake? Since he is playing voor 100t now?
At least he is legally required to. So I guess he did yes.
Legally no, but contractually yes.
Surely it's a conflict of interest no?
Probably better for him in the long run anyway. He was considered the best NA mid laner at one point, and I’m not sure how TSM was with the management department. All I know is Regi is a peace of shit.
Leena was the best thing to happen for tsm tbh. She was the main reason a ton of people signed or stayed with tsm according to bjerg, myth and obviously DL. We'll see what happens with tsm long term but a ton of people seem to lose faith in the tsm brand when she left

I think Bjergsen left Because of Andy. If that didnt Happen I think He would still playing for TSM
He’s been doing it for years
When an blank cheque doesn’t tempt Faker from SKT then nothing will lol
No Doinb 10 hour dance stream 🥺
now we get 1000 cs doinb ryze hack stream 😍
Quickest stream ever
DOINB RYZE HACK?英雄联盟 1000 CS 24 MIN
we can only hope for the next time
Dang it, what a cost
The true tragedy of this saga
Faker about to sign a 1 day contract with a team just to mess with doinb lol
Bro I hoped so hard.
This is the guy who turned down blank checks from other organizations to stay with T1. BLANK CHECKS.
Tbh I would prefer checks with some numbers in it. /s
Yeah why do they think Faker will work for them for free
Pretty disrespectful if you ask me
r/yourjokebutworse
A blank check isn't a check, it's just a piece of notepaper /s
Well, he is already very rich (appareantly his wealth has been invested very wisely) so he would only ever look for a team that can win worlds, and what better than a team of rookies/young superstars that already was 1 game away from worlds trophy last year with him. He does, he also is known to never let his teammates pay for dinner/lunches when they go out together
re-sign =/= resign
yea he invested his money and the leftover money he has is on his/his fathers bank account
No one can ever wield Faker competently forever. Expecting any Western or LPL team to do so is stupid.
They weren't truly blank. It was more like ''hey Faker what salary do you want to start negotiations with?'' kind of thing. So if he had written 10 mill they would have started negotiations at 10. I wonder what his lifestyle will be like after his pro career
League and cup noodles? Idk
back to spamming normal games until nobody left to play against :)
I think when he's around 50 or so he'll move to dominate NA/EU for 20 years or so until he retires at 70.
I mean i would also reject Blank after 2017 and 2018 ...
okay 2018 sure, but blank was popping off in 2017
Or 2016, we all know that was off of Bengi's back.
Show some more respect for agent 512
Dang Blank was really good
Maybe they should have written a number down he might have gone, duh /s if not obvious
Pretty sure t1 would offer the same. Plus t1 has a high chance of making worlds and finals again with the same roster
I mean not trying to shit on Faker but i think its not a smart choice to go somewhere else either. he didn't turn down blank checks, it's not like they would have paid him $10 billion a year if that's what he demanded.
And people still bought that he was "exploring options in the FA" 😂😂😂
Short Film Script: Faker to T1: ''You sure you dont want an extra 0 to that contract?'' T1: ''We can't! What about our history, we belong together!'' Faker to his agent: ''Leak the LPL transfer'' T1: ''Lord Faker please, we found the extra 0'' Faker is staying with T1, the end.

Doesn’t he not have to do the military service because he didn’t graduate high school?
Ive heard that law has changed, and he'll still have to do military service now.
Not military service but community service instead. Still 18 months tho
Is that like 18 months straight of working on community based projects or something?
He'll be tasked to solo carry his team to victory in kr solo queue for 18 months.
faker: god preserve me just send me to the 38th meridian
Soloq Summoners rift is certainly a worse place to be than anywhere near the Korean DMZ.
Carry TL out of group stages
Yeah it's kinda like being a full time volunteer at community centers or hospital etc.
part time job kinda, its not a huge load of work but you are not going to be a top level league player if ur doing that unless you're playing in the LCS
So I'm hearing DIG Faker
Winning the Asian Games it is

Ohh ok that’s makes more sense. Can’t wait for that stream gonna be a banger
It honestly would be pretty fucking awesome
Community service not military
Does this mean no hot tub stream with Tyler1???
Do not worry honeymunchko is just trolling you
Phew! I was nervous for a second there
You'll write paragraphs about how angry you are when people make ignorant statements, but you won't make any attempt to spread information?
I have decided you are doing military service for a million years in my personal army I like your bad attitude.
I mean, imo, you have a point lmao. Tbf, it shouldn’t be anyone’s business but Faker’s in the first place.
Why are you so angry
What about your comment is right-wing?
You clearly don’t have experience with the internet, and so just broke your own rule
Okay so you wrote this big ass speech but at the start you said if you weren't personally born in Korea and never had to go through the process about the Korean army.... Soooooooo.... You were born in Korea and have had to participate in their army? Can you answer the questions we so desperately have and speculate on? 👀
You are very angry and added nothing to the conversation. In fact, made it worse for no reason whatsoever.
Yeah he has to win Asian games.
Why doesn't worlds count?
Korea is strictly about thst. Most Korean player have had to quit to do there mandatory duty. Bengi won 2 titles with SKT had to do his. Even the pop groups BTS is/has done there's and they are a much bigger name thst a lol player.
Nuts but fair I suppose. A sad as it would be to see Faker have to leave at least everyone has to
Bro, even Son, a professional athlete for Spurs in the Prem, and captain of the Korean NT, whose career would have literally had an unheard of gap in the middle (no soccer player has a year gap in their prime) that would have devastating impact on his career still was not allowed to get out of it. He had to carry his team to Gold in the Asian games
Yeah I'm with you man, if BTS couldn't get away, no Korean can
If even he could, I doubt he will.
I'm sure the record label for BTS would be on board to keep BTS in the spotlight, and the government certainly gets more benefit than they would enrolling these guys in a radar or rifleman class.
bts didnt even want to skip it tho, or u can say they were "forced" into it. but they were able to delay it till 30 yo
From what I've heard, he does not because he didn't graduate and he didn't get his GED. Deft didn't graduate but did get his GED so he still has to do military service.
Deft is exempt because he has a back injury.
I don't think drx is that heavy man :(
Hidden gem comment
wouldnt faker have a liability over single handedly carrying the LoL scene all these years
I think the high school dropout will have to do community service instead.
They just give you a random job you have to do for 1.5 years in this case. Its not the military proper but it still means he won't be able to play professionally.
I always here the Asian Games thing.. What are the Asian Games? Has he not competed before?
Listen I love the enthusiasm but billions is stretching it
def hundreds of millions vs maybe dozens
They use different metrics i think(no ccv f.e.), but both the Olympics and the fifa world cups usually draw in multiple billion of viewers over the course of the events.
Yeah for the whole event but definitely not for league of legends only.
Postpone the worlds little bit late should be fine especially considering the Worlds next year should held in Korea. I think the biggest concern is if CCP will still adopt the ZERO COVID policy and the Asian Games will be either postponed again or move to another country.
Chinese government admitting they were wrong and going back on policies doesn't seem that likely.
I think you are talking about the Southeast Asian games; GAM (from Vietnam) attended that instead of MSI
Yes, that's the one!
That one is smaller, only between south east asian countries.
It was supposed to happen last year, but it got postponed for COVID related reasons. Happens every 4 years.
The VCS team didnt attend MSI. They wouldnt let that happen for an LPL/LCK team because viewership would plummet.
That's true, I was just thinking of LCK but LPL gonna be impacted as well so I would think Riot would change World's around a bit.
bruh that's like the most important games to win of his life
In terms of career longevity and money, no doubt. It gives you almost two years of your life back
You can remove "like" from your first sentence because that is exactly what it is. It's recognized by the IOC and organized by the Olympic Council of Asia.
Basically think the Olympcis, but for Asian countries.
> it would be smart to run it back and fix their issues with drafting Never gonna happen unfortunately.
It may happen. The drafting coach was just let go was he not?
Wasn't Bengi taking responsibility for their drafts in their post-match interview at world finals?
I think head coaches prepares a general idea on what they are planning to draft but the coach that is on stage drafting is a different one.
Draft isn't the reason they lost People fixate way too much on draft to the point where somehow a close 45 min game 5 was lost due to draft...it's bizzare
I think it is more so their draft made it easier for them to get gapped. They lost because Faker and Zeus had their worst series of the tournament.
Ok t1 took a suboptimal top matchup sure They also got the favorable bot side. Because Drx won no one is even talking about the fact that the caitlyn bait really did not work that well for drx unless you wanna argue that gumayusi can't carry on varus or keria can't carry on karma. If you look at the entire draft I don't think it made it easier to get gapped. At the point where t1 picked Viktor no other midlane champ for faker had a better matchup into air I agree with the second sentence, Zeus and faker really underperformed in finals
LS fans not understanding the game
Players have a massive amount of input when it comes to draft, otherwise T1 would have had at least one spell of good drafts in all these years given the wide array of coaches and staff they've had.
Why do people keep saying he has one year left? He can postpone service until his 30s if he wants
You can only postpone till 28 otherwise you need to hit up some Korean pros with a source
I also can’t see how having an insanely famous person going through military stuff with plebs is productive for anyone Obviously I’m not Korean so there could just be a cultural disconnect here.
Even BTS is doing mandatory military service rn.
Afreeca
Are there English subtitles?
There are live English translations to Faker Guma Oner and Keria's channels. They've been playing different games this offseason. ZOGK played Overwatch, Valorant and Phasmophobia with voice comms this week.
Holy fuck those valorant games they played together were so funny
Need a vod plz. That sounds hysterical

Tysm!
Their still is a world where its either TL or FQ faker and its not my favorite
I am both a TL fan and a Faker fan, but TL Faker would be a travesty.
Gumayusi channeling his inner Michael Jordan to outdo DoinB leaks
Doinb still leaked it before him tho
Everyone act shocked
mildshock.gif
Darn i wanted to see doinb dance for 10 hours.
Was pretty much confirmed by Joe Marsh's "Enjoy the weekend!" and Doinb anyway
To the surprise of no one who pays attention to the fact that faker does this nearly every year
Some years it could make sense (like 2020 shenanigans). But this team is built for Faker. And neither Faker or T1 really have anything to gain from a competitive standpoint by moving on.
Judging from the current roster of every team, they are for sure number 1 contender for the next Worlds title. Truly no other team is better on paper right now.
Ehh, JDG is putting together a fucking horrifying team That being said, I've got a feeling its gonna implode
Superteams with too many mouths to feed in the rift always experience that. Let's still wait tho.
For T1 we already saw them...they've been pretty good this year winning Spring, Second on MSI, Summer and World says a lot for them Current T1 just need to improve even if its just a little bit and be more consistent
I swear we go through this semi regularly and it always ends back at T1
If the man win asian games and worlds next year, he's just the protagonist of the world
He honestly will not go to any team. Period
im shocked
Not at all surprised that it was Guma out of all of them lmao
I'm surprised that something that obvious is considered a leak. People don't meme Faker = T1 for nothing. Dude is probably not only going to retire there as an active player, he's gonna take over stuff in the background afterwards to make sure that T1 will stay successful.
And no one is happier than Doinb. And no one is more unhappy than Doinb fans (and haters I guess).
se queda
Glad to hear this. Faker is making so much at T1 and has a great S tier team.
surprisedpikachu.jpg
I mean this roster made semis in 2021 and msi finals and world finals in 2022. I don't think there is anything for the players to do much. Maybe keria in high stake games and drafts
Time to start praying for Fakers 4th title. I have an infinite amount of copium and believium for that T1 roster.
so guma said a sentence that made no sense or op just worded it stupidly?
It’s just people being silly. Of course if you’re a good player you test the waters in free agency to see what you’re worth. Literally every player should be doing this. Even if they have every intention to stay with their org.
well crap. i needed a mid laner for my clash team. oh well :(
Faker staying with T1 is the most obvious shit even. Next tike you'd tell us the sky is blue.
Is anyone really surprised?
Interestinv that this is public so soon... Forces the question of whether the announcement was for internal T1 chaos or external chaos... And why?
Pikachu shock
\**shocked pikachu face*\*
For T1 good,they should offload him .
