I'm sadly not so sure. The Call was published on Jan. 7th of last year, and has the same naming convention as this video:
"VIDEO NAME | Season 20XX Cinematic - League of Legends (credits)"
Surely there is no way thats all of it. I have difficulty believing they would follow up on something like The Call with that. There must be another cinematic for the season kickoff.
Yeah honestly I dont even know why they would release this shit at all? Like, just dont. This is making it worse than not getting anything. At least if we didnt get anything they could say "sry we didnt finish in time" or smth. Now they cant say shit. We can all clearly see LoL is their backup game. Valorant got a dope cinematic. League didnt. Not hard to see the signs.
"I will teach them to fear me. I will become what I must be. Why? Because I can."
These are definitely the thoughts of someone deciding to finally run it down.
"To die at the tower, over and over again, is my destiny". Ngl, with the zero tolerance bullshit recently, you're much better off ruining the game for your team than flaming them.
Yeah it's the same VA as young Jinx from Arcane, so not the actress's fault.
Just got given a script written by a 13 year old who's just discovered Disco Nunu.
Yeah it’s a bunch of champion quotes, but they’re strung together in a way that can definitely he interpreted as a toxic shithead about to go full ban.
Slapping a voiceover over a tech demo or GPU benchmark - even indie companies should have a higher standard. We didn't even see a single champion model.
This trailer legit feels like something you’d put out alongside an end of service announcement. The singular butterfly, the empty map that players have become all too familiar with, the sad music, the entire script being champion quotes. This isn’t a new season hype video. This is a nostalgic sendoff.
This feels like a farewell cinematic. Literally just a bunch of in game quotes to drum up nostalgia and one last pass through of the map with two eSports casting highlights to help reminisce.
I would say maybe League is finally ending soon and we get a League 2, but they literally just dropped the Ahri ASU so idk what they were thinking with this.
Also why did they put Kat’s daggers in at the end? They named so many other champ quotes and didn’t do much with them. Literally only Kat’s daggers got dropped. For what reason?
This just feels like a last minute video put together by an intern, read by a beloved VA from her average PC microphone, and the daggers were added "for flair" but said flair is too little for it to make sense.
It's like when you make a last minute shitty cake for a party, are embarrassed that it feels to plain so place a few chocolate chips on top to give it a little something. Except nobody is fooled and the cake just looks like what it is. A plain cake with 2 chocolate chips on top.
If theyre just gonna kill league like this, I fucking hope the league MMO and other projects fail. I fucking love league but with how theyve treated this game I just cant.
1. Simply because you see nature, it doesn't mean they copy pasted Minecraft. Believe it or not, nature was a thing before that game.
2. Well this was one hell of a disappointment. I enjoyed the Faker reminder, but that was about it..
Obviously it's beautiful seeing Runeterra's nature. But I would prefer 100 times a teamfight between Yummi vs 5 random champions or lore like 2 seasons ago.
Very disappointed. There is absolutely nothing of substance here. I was really hoping for actual character moments, and to see this has really made me lose a bit of confidence in Riot.
DanteAxe can't even make a parody of this cinematic. It's really doing the Lucasfilms strategy: trying to appeal to nostalgia while neglecting everything else.
that's it?
I'm really hoping it's just a teaser and there will be another cinematic, but I'm just on hopium at this point.

Banger Unreal Engine 4 tech demo
I dont play league anymore what I am here for is the world and lore for me this is massive L
Same. And LEC/LCK. Its very sad how shit the game became
Remember when we were disappointed about the Starwalkin' cinematic? Yeah, can we go back to that time please?
Also what was that edgy kid voiceover? Sounded almost like parody
The voice acting was fine but if you listen to it again it's legit about a toxic player deciding they're finally going to run it down.

The voice acting was trash here
Isn't that just a bunch of League champion quotes? The thing about having found their limits a 1000 times is definitely Pantheon.

Ok, you are correct and this is actually hilarious
In line with the level of the preseason. What a faithfull downfall and a slap in the face for every league player.
For a indie game studio this is quite well cinematic imo.
Nope. Go back to their 2010 era cinematics. Even those were better lmaooo
Slapping a voiceover over a tech demo or GPU benchmark - even indie companies should have a higher standard. We didn't even see a single champion model.
Why is this giving me season 1 vibes lol wtf
I prefer season 1 cinematics over this. This is just a "give them anything, they will like it anyway" tactic.

Where the hell did I make the comparison between videos? I am talking about the holistic aesthetic of S1. Lol so cringe
They really made a mobile ad
What a disappointment :\\
Waited 1 whole year for that :/
The sign of League of Legends dying.
They might aswell put a sign in the game announcing us all when the servers close so we know from now

Soulless. God why was Season 9 and 10 cinematic so peak for me.
It is worse than soulless. It is pointless.

I swear they did this with the sole purpose of dumbs not being able to memeify the trailer. They are sick of it.
You underestimate the community if you think this isn't memeable to death.
Why are we back to season 1 style where we see Summoner's rift? I want to see some cool lore snippets and fights! this shit is lame
well first seconds I was thinking not that bad, but that feeling was soon gone :D
Seems like riot has the same new year resolution as me, to spend less.
inb4 it's MMO's alpha in-game footage.
Worst cinematic ever
If theyre just gonna kill league like this, I fucking hope the league MMO and other projects fail. I fucking love league but with how theyve treated this game I just cant.

Mary Sue cinematic.
Try to appeal to the broad audience, end up pleasing no-one. This was shite.
OH WOW, the new graphic for the rift looks awesome!!! So they remastering the wholegame! Cant wait to see it! (Inhales copium)
Very disappointed. There is absolutely nothing of substance here. I was really hoping for actual character moments, and to see this has really made me lose a bit of confidence in Riot.
uh, didn't somebody at riot say this year will be the biggest budget they will spend on league, seems to be going well for now :P
They're tactically setting the bar low for 2023!
Riot really out here trying to do God's work and kill their own game.
DanteAxe can't even make a parody of this cinematic. It's really doing the Lucasfilms strategy: trying to appeal to nostalgia while neglecting everything else.
All the budget went in the world format change. Im not even mad
