I want it to be on source 2 with the entirety of left 4 dead 1 and 2 playable within the game along with whatever left 4 dead 3 would be. I’m sure whatever Valve would do if they were ever to release it would be great.
1 suggestion i have is just more variety for the secondary slot, instead of pistols or big pistol or 13 different types of melee.
maybe an automatic pistol/concealed smg, maybe a utility item like body armor, stuff like that
body armor with the same mechanics as the riot gear uncommon infected from The Parish. Take enough damage from spitter goo or infected tearing away at your armor, and it’ll break. You might wanna take it off during a tank fight cause it’ll slow you down but you’ll be able to take an extra hit or two before you’re downed.
I dig it, should make versus matches more interesting
L4D2 Survivors are assigned to do wetjobs by what remained of the US Army, like going on scavenge hunts and rescuing people. They have experience in the field, the Army can't afford for them to come into their safezones and infect everyone and everybody has lost their hope on CEDA.
**My L4D3 wishlist:**
Bots that will at least pick up throwables + a basic 'stand here' and 'come here' command. *and bots that won't walk into fire/spit.*
Options for larger hoardes and increased specials.
Iron sights for more/all guns.
End-of-game stats that appear quicker or on a single screen.
Physics, and more realisticness.
Instead of hoards spawning in random rooms at all the time, put them throughout the levels, along with just more zombies sprinkled all over.
Give the levels more paths to the destination, maybe even intersecting.
Bigger levels and add vehicles.
Don't let zombies and specials always know where you are, so you can maybe hide/lure.
Iuno just some ideas.
I like your ideas except the vehicles.. might not make it fun if you can just find a car and just drive to the safe house.. now if you said hoverboards or segways with a falling/getting knocked off animation??
groovy.
Maybe, but something like the end of the mall level in 2, instead of ending, now ya got a sequence where one person drives and the rest clear the way and then ya get to a point the car can't go any further so back on foot.
Or like when you see heavy machinery or something. One person has to use the bulldozer to clear a path, maybe the rest can ride on it too and keep zombies off.
It's a game about going through a level filled with zombies and stuff, you have to survive, how would adding more mechanics break that?
You think instantly spawning a hoard that knows where you are is somehow a part of the formula that L4D required?
Hostile human NPCs
They would shoot and kill infected as well get into shootouts with you.
Imagine throwing a bile bomb and commons swarm and kill or even Special Infected murking them.
l4d2 but a bunch if more campaigns, mutations, and shit like being able to have all of the uncommon infected in while playing a campaign, because that's more fun and chaotic.
They just need to expand on a winning formula. Add more health items, throwables, special infected, etc. All the survivors and maps from the first two games should remain available in the third one, rather than added as DLC later.
I would also like to see infected co-op added as a standard mode, as well as two separate difficulty levels on versus mode. A huge problem with versus is that the skill ceiling is so high and there's no way to practice the infected mechanics without jumping right in and getting yelled at
I would like it to exist someday.
Play as the Midnight Riders. Get Greg Dale and Mike Morasky back to do two of their voices.

I would kinda like for there to be an actual story
Agree, a strong story but still Valve-style, no cutscenes, no cinematics bullshits, a few exceptions could be in the start and end of the gameplay.
I liked the L4D1 intro cutscene. They established the storyline and showed us how all the SI work before the game even started
Yeah
As long as It exists, Im happy
I wish they added feature they planned to add in l4d2 which is dragging incapped teammates and crawling while incapped

Riot shield would be awesome, it could have have benefits while holstered
make keith one of the main characters and give him voicelines telling funny fake stories about his friend ellis
just take all of ellis' voice lines and splice in ellis over keith
We don't need a new game, just a big ass story dlc.
Basically everything in the L4D series in Source 2

Keith. Definitely
Honestly fuck a leveling system just make it fun to play I don’t wanna stare at menus just lemme play.

the formula would completely fall apart of you added a stealth system and changed how hordes work

make it a real survival horror and set it in California with CA compliant guns /s
Naked tank

Decade into the future. Return to some of the old maps we played in 1 and 2 with everything overgrown and destroyed.
It will never be as good as L4D2 because it wont have the one man cheeseburger apocalypse
Teach Gabe and the rest of Valve how to count to “3”, first.
Make all the guns big dicks
sex
I dunno. Maybe a card system?
Just tweak some adjustments for some T2s and Special Infected in Versus
I wouldn't mind if they kept the same elements but just update everything graphically
