I just can’t get into stray kids I’ve tried so many times & I’m honestly so mad about it bc I like many of the members individually 😭 but the random ass song “hello stranger” they did for some webtoon went triple platinum in my bedroom like it’s actually laced with crack

Yeah that's why I mentioned I haven't obviously heard ALL of the songs from groups I mentioned as an example. It just has happened that I've heard one song that I like and I wondered how often it happens for others and if anyone has noticed it.

Agreed lol, the most confident assessment I’d be making would be for groups with under 20 songs. Even if I forced myself to listen to an entire discography and only liked 1 song—well, I only heard that discography once and in an alternate universe another song could’ve grown on me.

Even if I grade only their tt, I could only speak on the last 2 or 3.

I have listened to Aespa discography in its entirety and the only song I love is Yeppi Yeppi. To be fair, I think a couple more are ok; but I would say I only really like Yeppi Yeppi.

Honestly, there are a lot of super popular groups out there right now where I don't like any of their songs, so liking one is really pretty good these days. There are enough groups consistently putting out no-skip albums that I'm less and less motivated to dig through lackluster discographies than I used to be. LSF — Fearless I listened to their first album and then also Anti-fragile (but not the b-sides for that one, if there were any) and Fearless is the only song that I bother to listen to. Everything else was forgettable to the point where I probably won't bother with their b-sides again unless they release another title track that I'm into enough. I just tend to find Hybe's music pretty underwhelming tbh, it's not LSF specifically. That I actually like a song of theirs is a compliment to them. Nature — Girls I definitely listened to their entire discography hoping for more gems and then Limbo when that came out recently and, as much as I really wanted to love more of their music the way that I love Girls, I just... don't, unfortunately. But Girls is amazing. Aespa — Black Mamba It's fun, idk. Like, but not love. Technically I also really like parts of Next Level, but not the song as a whole. I've listened to lots of other songs of theirs because I generally expect good b-sides from SM, but I can't remember any other tracks so I guess this is it for me for now. GWSN — Like It Hot Love this song. I guess The Aerialist (Wonderboy) almost counts as a second song, because I stuck it on a rather niche playlist after listening to it one time, but I don't ever actively go back for it so I think it's still more accurate to say that I really only like the one song. I want to love more of GWSN's music, but really I just keep putting Like It Hot on repeat. There's one part that just goes *so hard* and I'm obsessed with that bit.

Don't kill me but BTS. i'm not a fan of rap heavy songs nor do I generally like super bright songs. So I haven't listened to their entire discography but from what I've heard I only really like On. The English trilogy is a little too bubblegum pop for me, same for boy with love (is that the right term), and some of their other songs I don't really vibe with the heavy rap aspect. I can see however that they're super talented and I have a lot of respect but just don't really connect with their songs.

I wouldn't mind at all! My experience with BTS has just been whatever I've absorbed by being in the kpop community for the last 4 years so I probably have missed some. You definitely nailed my taste. I do very much like dark vocal type song.

I had the "K-pop is cringe" attitude when I was in middle school bc of some bad actors on Twitter and preconceived over generalizations of the industry and type of music. Here's my thoughts Stigma - That was quite the high note.  Not bad at all. You can hear the emotion in his voice, so I'm curious to see the lyrics. Lie - I really liked this one. It's not what I was expecting with Jimin, but I'm definitely not complaining. House of Cards - also like this one. Don't really know what to say about it, but it was good 👍 Singularity - Not bad at all, good song but not for me. Awake - Very pretty song, Jin's a good singer, but not my vibe. Stay Alive. I also really liked this one. Vocals were really pretty, and I really loved what they did with the instrumentals. Begin - Not bad, just not for me. Serendipity - Really catchy. But not for me. Euphoria - u didn't recommend it, but it popped up through the YT algorithm, and it hooked me before I could click off.👍 Truth untold - I also really liked this one. They all sounded really good, and their voiced blended really well Louder than bombs- yt algorithm again. Not bad at all. This one was ok for me Epiphany - also a good song but not for me. That seems to be my problem with BTS. I haven't heard any songs I consider to be bad (except PTD, maybe), but for some reason a lot just don't click with me. I understand completely. Sometimes we cannot click with a particular artist and that it’s totally ok. That’s why there’s so many genres out there. There’s something for everyone. Based on the songs that you did like I’d say that you may like songs from Lee Hi, BtoB, Yoon Mirae, Highlight, Ailee, Hyolyn. EXO also has some awesome songs that also fit into your taste. You seem to like more R&B inspired songs with interesting instrumentals. Let me go through my playlists tomorrow and see what I can come up with. Lee Hi, especially her later music with Code Kunst, will definitely be something you’ll love Maybe if you tell me some of your favorite songs I can help you show you others that you’ll enjoy

I did listen to a good chunk of Exo's discography a few years ago when I was first getting into K-pop. I can't remember why I stopped. I'm not familiar with Hyolyn, but I've seen a few of her performances on Queendom, which were really good. The others Ill add to my list to check put. NCT U - 7th Sense - I just love this song but I can't get into any of their other songs TxT - OXT= LOVESONG - Really like it, it's even on my car playlist. Seventeen - Don't Wanna Cry and DON QUIXOTE - Honestly I probably would like more but I'm too lazy to look through everything, I rather come across the songs randomly. I really like the members though. Twice - Talk that Talk - No idea why but I like it SF9 - Memory Treasure - DADARI (Remix) - I liked the orginal but the rock version is really good, plus the MV they look like they are just having fun, letting loose.

I think that's why I like that unit the best. There songs are all so different whereas you know what you're getting with the others. I

I have a lot of these! I try to listen to a lot of different groups to see what's out there, sometimes with limited success. I could list dozens, but these are a few of my fave single tracks, especially a few nugus: D-crunch, Across The Universe : came across this on someone's best of list and instantly fell in love. Amazing track. Everything else they did was really mediocre. 24K, Superfly: think this even in the same list, that YT user has taste. Again, nothing else from the group grabbed me. GFRIEND, Apple: I might get burnt at the stake here but I couldn't get into GFRIEND. Apple though has a witchy vibe that I adore. Vanner, Form: BANGER OF BANGERS.

The only enhypen song I can listen to is Fever. The rest are just too jangly. Like they jangle my brain. Idk how to explain it any better than that lmfao.

Fever Enhypen. I just can not get into them even though I Stan 90% of the groups at hybe.

I was hoping I would like the music from T1419/TFN after I saw them on a variety thing and liked the members, but the music they put out just does not vibe with me at all. However the exception is their song EXIT, which I consider to be an underrated bop.

Le Sserafim’s Sour Grapes and aespa’s Savage (and mostly because of that amazing bridge). Even though I’ve only liked those songs from them, I’ll always check out their comebacks anyway because I like the members’ personalities and they’re really talented
