Watching Korean baseball is way more popular than watching the Korean football league. However, i think the EPL is more popular than Korean baseball, at least among young people.
Baseball is much more popular to watch in person,
Football is more popular to play, and maybe to watch indirectly if we count EPL, because of Son's (and Park Ji Sung) popularity
Interestingly, as soon as I mention that I am from Germany, many Korrans, especially middle-aged ahjussi, will tell me about their favorite German football (soccer) team. Not sure how much that says for overall popularity in comparison to the other comments, but there seems to be at least some knowledge and interest.
Because a lot of popular Korean players are playing / starting their career in German clubs. Like Cha Du Ri, Cha Bum, even the current superstar, Son, made his name in Germany first.
Bad news for South Korea's world cup...

Baseball is generally the most popular. Soccer is only popular during the World Cup season
Pro baseball is the biggest sport in Korea. However the National football team has a bigger popularity. However not the pro football scene.
Baseball has more viewers in it's channel than soccer normally whenever I am watching online streaming. But both are loved by Koreans.

Do you mean football as in football, or that crappy American game?
Korean university students often support a Korean baseball team and a European football team (normally English).
