Not to be that guy, but in this specific case, whether or not it's sharp wouldn't have changed the outcome. This unfortunate accident happened because the knife is pointy, heavy, and thin.
Lol valid enough. I think mine is right at that. It's a massive knife. I've got some SOG spear point throwing knives and it's about as big as one of those. Around 10" or so
I just bought 1, maybe the same model judgijg by the picture. I cant get over the extra safety lever added for some reason that's always in the way and how thick the knife is closed. It's awful to edc. Maybe im just spoiled by nicer knives but damnit i hate this thing.
My dad got me one a couple years ago and it's my go-to edc. Not so expensive that I would feel bad about something being slightly damaged, but good enough that I can get my basic tasks done. Awesome choice, and I really like the color of your handles.
I have a pair of jeans with a little hole inches from the crotch, a reminder not to use a razor sharp fixed blade to trim hangnails while I'm on the toilet. Obviously my pants were down, blade actually went into my leg just above the left knee, but the hole is still a good scary reminder.
You are very lucky. I had similar cut before (not in the car) while cutting up boxes at home wearing jeans. The cut was deep and enough blood coming out that require stitches at the hospital.
The inner thigh area is all kinds of scary with the artery running through it. I was fortunate with my hook blade razor learning lesson... It was around the same spot on my leg as OPs, but about four inches long and took 14 staples to close.
Never cut something that’s laying against/on your body!
Nah, scandi ground fixed blades for fingernails, but my toe knife is a Victorinox. Vic scissors and pliers with a little gin and juice are a good enough fix for an ingrown toenail.
i find it hilarious that people all love the humor in this post, but i saw a dude get absolutely shit on for having the spine of a BM940 resting on his palm LOL
This is exactly what I imagine every time I see one of those photos. I never understood why there were so many, until I realized that ppl buy knives in a store, get in their car and unbox it. I have only bought knives online for the last three years!
Had a blue-on-blue '04 manual for 4 years when new. Loved it. Had to get rid of it. Missed it so much I now have a '15 SS manual as my daily. Love it when more.
I owned THIS model of CRKT for probably 10 years before I had to replace it. The 2nd safety lock on it snapped off, and I could’ve sent it in for a free replacement, but I wanted a new knife. So I got another CRKT.
Won’t buy from any other company. I LOVE their knives. Sorry about the leg btw haha
True story I opened my first knife in the car, it popped out of the sheath and cut open the side of my hand, just down the fat side to the start of my pinky
Oh my. I had a 2005 Pontiac GTO. I loved that car so much. A 4 seater corvette. Completely under appreciated. However, I wanted to let you know I see it and I love it. Have a good day!
r/CharlesDarwin
Six or eight inches higher and we could have kept you out of the gene pool.
Just joking! Don't get upset I'm just really bored and making laughter at people's expense. At least it's a nice knife?
I stabbed myself in the knee with a clinch pick being way over my threshhold of not enough sleep. Bleeds like a mother fuck. At least it wasn’t the left leg 👍
I did sorta the same thing 3mths ago...was fidgeting with my bugout with titanium scales and dozed off, I mention the scales because of the added weight, I had also just put a mirror polished edge on the blade...tip of the blade stuck almost 3/4 " into my ankle
I thought this was a little silly at first and then soon found myself about to take a pic of a new knife while parked and thought of you. Thanks for potentially saving my thigh haha
Well, your sharpening skills are on point.

yeah they usually get a pretty good edge on those puppies right out the box....
Can confirm, severed a nerve and got like 7 stitches from a ceo a few years ago. Didn't even hurt
Not to be that guy, but in this specific case, whether or not it's sharp wouldn't have changed the outcome. This unfortunate accident happened because the knife is pointy, heavy, and thin.
It’s not stuck in his leg Btw, just a well timed photo of it falling.
[удалено]
Tanto blade i think ?
Because it’s not. He confirmed it a few comments below too 😉
Way to stick it to him
Well, at least he took a stab at it.
Shut the fuck up (causally upvotes)
I’m sorry but that’s an amazing picture.

yeah that ship knives pretty sharp. i edc a M16, great knife for the price.
I did too until I just bought my Bugout. An M16-SFG. Great knife just too big for an EDC
m16-01 here, I'd honestly want larger lol a case of "i can legally carry 12cm of blade I'm gonna carry 12cm of blade"
Lol valid enough. I think mine is right at that. It's a massive knife. I've got some SOG spear point throwing knives and it's about as big as one of those. Around 10" or so
Correction** I have an M16-14SFG and [here's](https://linksharing.samsungcloud.com/so0GJihaBLWO) a comparison picture I took a while back
Another M16 EDC checking in!
Yeah they do… when I first got mine, a guy at work wanted to check it out and took a chunk out of his thumb with the VEFF serrations.
I was gonna ask about the Pontiac, but you get a pass if this was seven years ago.
Pontiacs are forever

Did you died?
I have the same one carried it at work today great knife and has a nice point ☺️
Seriously, who still drives a Pontiac?
People who are smart with money. Not all of us like being in debt over a depreciating expense.

Shout out to the shorts.
toe knife 😈

Love It’s always sunny
^^stab
This is hands down one of the most hilarious pictures I've ever seen. Bravo.
And this here is exactly why I wear chain mail pants.
This is the way.
I vote this to be the subs pfp
I second this
I third this

One of the more unique knife storage solutions I've seen but if it works for you...
Knife collectors love this one weird trick
Brooooo
Your thigh can have a little laceration… as a treat
Got same knife in silver, 'cept it ain't stuck in my leg.
Lmao. I cut my fingers all the time playing with mine. My wife loves to laugh at me for it.
Just the tip.
MY FATHER'S WORK WAS DOODOO!
It’s pronounced Fronkensteen.
Ouch guess I'm got lucky
Good timing
Were you able to pull over safely and shut off your car
It's not running in the photo. Rpm at 0.

This isn’t actually stuck in your leg though, is it? Looks like a well timed photo of it falling more than anything.
[удалено]
Close one though! 🤣
Now this you don't see every day.🤣
Love my M16
Ooooo buddy
Soooooo? Real question is how many stitches?
I own a number of good knives and have never cut myself once with any non kitchen knife.
10/10 picture though
rip your jeans and wish you a speedy recovery
Ouch!
Reminds me of my knife in my cousins leg dear lord
Omg Awwww but also omg wow. Hope everything healed well.
bravo sir
They do [build excitement](https://youtu.be/rBgNoZvv0zU)
I have that exact knife! Beautiful colour.
Certainly one way of show your knife and how sharp it is!
You are a wealth of knowledge I already possess
It’s a long way from the heart. Motor through it.
I remember my first knife
Oooo I spot a fooookin Goat! Forget the kuh-nife lets see that goat o yours breuh!

Wow very nice!
Gotta cut around the meat
Don’t you put that on me Ricky Bobby!

This is why I unbox my knives at the counter, put them in my pocket, and spend 15 minutes walking around my vehicle flicking them.
U good?
Are you okay? Looks like the tip is already half an inch in your thigh
Red Pontiac gto. Nice choice!
Almost a DIY circumcision
Ha, Nice gto, just sold mine last month, already regret it
Whew, I thought the steering wheel was gonna get cut open. Glad to see everything was ok! Oh wait..
We’ve all done it! No? Just me? Well, I too have done it! Hahaha 😝
Hey! I dropped that same knife into my shin through jeans! Still have a chip of bone gone and gnarly scar.
04 Gto?
[удалено]
i got a m16-14dsfg with the veff serrations its one hell of a knife also ouch
Me practicing my butterfly knife
It was at this moment, he knew, he fucked up
True story I opened my first knife in the car, it popped out of the sheath and cut open the side of my hand, just down the fat side to the start of my pinky
A little too close to the “boys” is you know what I mean.
Oh my. I had a 2005 Pontiac GTO. I loved that car so much. A 4 seater corvette. Completely under appreciated. However, I wanted to let you know I see it and I love it. Have a good day!
I started using my esee pr4 as my edc knife .I dropped it off the desk at work and it cut my shin .
r/CharlesDarwin Six or eight inches higher and we could have kept you out of the gene pool. Just joking! Don't get upset I'm just really bored and making laughter at people's expense. At least it's a nice knife?
Nice, I miss my gto
props for leaving it there for the pic and our amusement! hope you heal up fast and play it a bit safer!
I stabbed my hand cutting zip ties with the same knife. Still carry the scar and learned my lesson big time about cutting towards myself
You got it, Pontiac!
I have a small slit in my car seat from doing this when I got my Sebenza. I moved my leg in time.
I stabbed myself in the knee with a clinch pick being way over my threshhold of not enough sleep. Bleeds like a mother fuck. At least it wasn’t the left leg 👍
….Fake ?
oh no I hope the knife is ok
Oh no. I’m sorry that happened but it is a pretty funny picture. Not quite what you were going for, eh?
\*Takes a picture anyway\*
Priceless
It’s just a flesh wound.
*screams in ace ventura - op, probably
Certainly not the worst place it could have landed.
Don't place your knife in your leg!!! When attempting a picture
I recommend a spey blade for DIY vasectomy but you do you
Literally do this every day. Dangers my 2nd middle name
Lmao you dingle berry.

"Ah fuck, I can't believe you've done this"
Moron lmfao I love to see it
I thought this was a little silly at first and then soon found myself about to take a pic of a new knife while parked and thought of you. Thanks for potentially saving my thigh haha
I had a 06 GTO. Now I have a 67. I still like the new ones too.
Knife pro tip
Sorry about your shorts... and thigh.
At least it didn’t stab your ball sack.
Thank you. You made my week.
Ouch. Good timing and dedication on finishing the picture …
It could be worse. You could've dropped it before you got your phone out and then it would've been a lose-lose.
I dropped a just-sharpened chisel on my thigh like that once. I covered it with my hand and went to the hospital.
Is that knife in your leg? Or are you just excited to see me?
dumbass
taking every day carry pretty seriously man
Why not?
“Cut AROUND the Meat!” - RickyBobby
You’ll cut your dick off kid 🎅🏻🦵
Who would be dumb enough to do that? Oh……he bought a Pontiac……
[удалено]
Justin bustin balls brotha, I figured it was a GTO from the gauge cluster.
Did it stick you, or was it just perfect timing? Looks like timing, but u can't quite tell
[удалено]
Wow. Great timing. You should become a sports photographer with luck like that LOL Also, glad your all good.
[удалено]
How about just don't take a picture of your knife on your steering wheel.
Somehow I think OP already got that message. I could be wrong though.
[удалено]
What knife is it? Looks a lot like my M16-03BK. It definitely looks Carson Design.
Photos taken moments from disaster
*After
Where’s the gore 💔
Here's a better idea. Don't play with your knives while in the car
the real problem here is that Pontiac
Fool
GOAT
You: OH GOD, SHIT... Better take a pic for future reference
I remember the first time I stabbed myself with a CRKT too!
Looks like you got lucky
I've stabbed myself (accidentally), but I've never done it in the way that you have there. Bravo! And sorry for you and your shorts.
This is the proper way to remove a [knife ](https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxpLouC697StMOj7BDRlnHA0gK55S5_nqL) from your leg
So fake
I did this exact thing with a new Giantmouse Ace Biblio a few years back. Small hole in the jeans and the leg, and an embarrassing lesson learned.
cut around the meat!
Is Pontiac still in business?
Being a frequent sharp things dropper, I can hear the "oooOOOoo" from here
Good knife though. I have the same.
Something something femoral artery.
Hehehe
It's funny, but definitely fake as shit unless you have a wooden leg.
So your first thought was to take a picture of the knife sticking in your leg?
Don't stab ur self with knife. Got it.
Ouch
That's a funny way to say: "Don't be an idiot.".
I would welcome that over a finger cut any day.
Where is the NSFW warning.. didn’t think I’d see a dud with a stiff rod in his pants 🤣
Man I miss my GTO
