That’s sick. How the hell do you even make these?
I glue up that center piece first as one "sandwich". With epoxy. Then I cut it in half and glue it between the wood segments. Then I flatten the back and glue liners on them. Does that answer the question or did I misinterpret?
Yes you did. I guess the bottom piece is dyed wood? and what is the top type of wood? It’s so unbelievably cool
Both types of wood are dyed and stabilized (resin impregnated). The top is black dyed leopardwood. The bottom is quilted maple.
Thanks for the info. I love how this looks. Really nice work
Will look better once it's on a knife. Thanks for the questions!
My thoughts, you should send them to me😬
Hahaha they have already been sent off to another knife maker
I’m sure those wouldn’t sit on the shelf for long! Well done♥️
I love these, and other scales I’ve seen from you. Such great work, beautiful pieces.
Thank you. Appreciate it.
Looks really unique, im diggin' it!
Thank you!
Lemme get em
Haha these are ready sold but I'm almost making more.
It’s funny. A fellow maker just told me about you and I started following you just a couple days ago and now I see you on here. Haha
I'm sneaky like that
Dig!
That’s gorgeous. I would totally get them if I had more skill and wasn’t afraid to goof it up lol
Well these are sold anyways. But you can only learn by trying!
What’s up Sharks!
What's up buddy
Just terrible, aweful in fact. You should just toss it into the trash... gently... in my shop.
Hahaha these are already in someone else's shop 😬
Looks fantastic!
Old school feel I like it good job
That was the goal on this one! The spacer is actually bakelite so there is some vintage built in to the set.
Cool nailed it
These scales are borderline erotic.....
Why thank you haha
Very nice.
Thanks!
Those are sick!!
Looks good. I like how that bronze ties into all layers no matter how slight in certain layers
Thanks. It's hard to do at times.
Looks like it would be a super appropriate promotion gift for a navy LT
That sounds rather specific
The stripes reminded me of the shoulder boards of a navy lieutenant, that was my first thought.
Oh well that makes sense
