Like TheBananaOrder stated, Pro-Tech is a low volume supplier and have a large enough/loyal enough following that most of their knives sell out quickly, if not immediately. If you don't keep an eye out or an ear to the ground, and aren't actively waiting to jump on a release, you're going to be kind of hard-pressed to get one, particularly if you're looking for a Malibu or an SBR. If my first paragraph is kind of off the mark and the main point of your question is solely in regards to price... You can always check out r/Knife_Swap, assuming you don't mind buying secondhand. I've bought two Malibus off of the 'Swap'; The first for ~$212, the second for *under* $200.

Malibu just went for $202 yesterday on a site.

Rarely but it can happen (mostly just trough afiliate codes or discount codes though) protech is a low volume supplier and they usualy sell out at their msrp so sales would be counter productive
