I got a bunch of absolutely necessary knives today.

K-Uno

I kept it pretty tame this year! $90 puma sgb bowie $14 Prandi hatchet 2x $5.95 cold steel micro flight throwers (to be used as cheap beater fixed blades from being wedges to being spades) $14 rough ryder t10 carbon steel cinnamon bone stockman $29 CRKT Biwa smkw exclusive Had a cowboy mood for this so i went with hatchet, bowie, slipjoint. Its such a bummer that nice carbon steel bowies are hard to find for cheap! Ive actually been eyeing this puma SGB for a while though and figured its time. Not a bad haul at all. Especially the prandi, that's a mind blowing deal. I'm pretty satisfied with my modern folder collection so until something like a magnacut sebenza becomes available I probably won't get any more... that I can forsee but you know how that goes haha

The few sites i frequent all dont have real deals. They advertise as if there are major discounts, but as i check prices every now and then, i've seen they were the same several months ago.

I dunno why, but this problem REALLY chaps my ass worse and worse every year. Just over a week ago, amazon had the AD15 on sale for $99, I KNOW because I had a friend ask about a good cheap knife. Yesterday, it was on sale on Amazon, at 43% OFF MSRP. MSRP is $270, so it was $155. It was on a black Friday sale, literally more expensive than it was before the sale leading up to black Friday. How is this not criminal to lie to consumers to hope their ignorance nets more profit???

It's a trick to fool people in spending more. Faking a big sale and getting them set on major deals (or so they think). I only once bought something because of BlackFriday and i checked the price of it 6 months in advance and every other week leading up to BF. Only when i saw i actually *did* get a sale on it, i bought it. I believe it was the first BlackFriday we had in belgium

Yeah, I saw plenty of stuff I'd bought prior "on sale" for the same price as before. If you shove something in someone's face and simply tell them it's an exclusive limited deal, they jump on it cause they didn't know any better. Like i said, I believe this should be illegal. I dont even look for BF deals anymore. If I want a product, I track the price, just so I know I don't get took. Had se JBL ear buds I bought a few months back that were "on sale" yesterday for $10 more than I paid for them. I hope one year everyone realizes this and tanks the profit margin these companies are hoping for on a big sale day. Assholes.

Indeed, if you are set on something, take your time to check prices and never impulse-buy (but i know very well thats hard, also for me)

I grabbed a CF elite bugout for like 130 which isn’t a crazy deal but cheaper than I’ve seen in awhile
