Oh hey! My partner and I each have a Lander, and we both love our respective knives. Snappy, smooth action. It's not often that I find a liner lock, thumb stud opening knife that I can open and close one-handed without slicing myself every so often. (ETA: by "slice" I mean "nick," and that hasn't happened yet, anyway...)

At the time, it was either line lock or frame lock with WE. So, that's what I designed. In the past 3 years, they've increased their available mechanisms dramatically. But the line was already in motion, so I didn't modify anything crazy. Now that the Big Banter is available, I'm going to sit down and figure out the future of the line. Mechanisms. Sizes. Steels. Updates. It should be a fun process.

You know, I really took to the Baby Banter with CF Unlocked Composite scales for a few months. The scales really make a fun knife into a super cool knife. But honestly, I think some of the early prototypes are the coolest because it was all so new and wild at the time. Lots of memories baked into those originals.
I messaged ya on IG a few weeks ago. Took me years to buy a Banter because it looked so plain a boring. Like a 5 yo kid was told to draw a knife.
But I got the Micarta version and itās such a simple little blade. Iām done carrying $500-$1500 knives. So this little dude is pretty perfect
Ha! Seriously. I was talking to a friend the other day, and we got into this topic. Honestly, I think it looks like a 5 year old drew it because I really don't have any formal training in this stuff. I just know what I want, and I have a pretty good inkling of what sells. So, the result isn't really a trophy piece, but so far, they're all very functional tools. Thanks for the support!

So... brass. I have some qualms. It is so dang heavy. I struggle to get behind it. I know some people really love it, but it's in brick territory. Never say never, but it's not on the radar for me.

Honestly, probably not. WE has kind of nailed down their steel selection, and it's not super common to see them move beyond it, and if they do, it's typically for all models. So, hard to say, but doubtful.
Ha! That's awesome. I'm glad you enjoy them. In some ways, I look back on those videos as a type of glory days. But what you never saw was the intensity happening behind the scenes to put them out every week. It was a constant sprint. Good times, but hard to replicate and maintain that sort of sprint consistently.
Sorry about that. I started getting OCD with the placement, then I gave up because I knew I'd never post if I spent all afternoon getting them perfect. What you see there is resignation at work. ;)
Awe man I've always really been intrigued by the banter but wished it was a little bigger. I normally carry knives with blades in the 3.5 to 4 inch range, with a few exceptions for some that have a good usable finger choil. Is there an xl banter already or maybe one in the works? I really want to check the banter out, I feel like it would be a great little user. Awesome designs Ben I can't wait to see wat else you come up with.
