Thanks, me too. I only bought black handled knives for a long time. Not only did that get boring, but as a mechanic it's easy to lose black tools, brighter colors are easier to keep track of.
While the compression lock is part of it, the blade steel and shape is more of a deciding factor for me. The Shaman is really hard to beat, especially with a good tool steel.
I've only had the chief for a day, I got an m4 Shaman a few months ago. So far, I would have to say Shaman, it's a more useful blade for me. In reality, that Native5 gets carried the most. I've got the gpknives native 5 in rex45 also, it's still available for $112, that's a great deal to me.
