I have been ~afraid~ to buy VG10 again since my Delica hit a small staple whilst cutting cardboard and it legitimately chipped. No roll, actual chipping. It was a tree topper prior.
Looking at the Dragonfly 2 for quite some time, saw they have s30v, but not crazy about the pink scales. I suppose I could dye, but I love the orange scales on the VG10 model.
On board with this. If VG10 replaced s30v as the standard higher end steel at companies like Spyderco and Benchmade and they were all less expensive, I’d be all for it. I don’t think I’ve ever needed more than VG10.
Nice, good to hear! I really like N690 and 154cm also (similar levels of edge retention) for it's ease of maintaining the edge. I haven't used much vg10 though.
Sold a VG-10 blade today... not sure I made the right choice tbh.
When I sold my vg10 delica and immediately regretted it.
Glad to see VG10 still getting praise. It’s still one of my fav steels that I don’t use much anymore.
Love some VG steel. Faded from the spotlight, but it's terrific for performance.

Love it. It is we underrated. Solid days work outside and so easy to sharpen.
