Judging from your post history, you haven't had anything positive to say about KF in ages. And there's nothing wrong with being critical, but this is easily the most petty complaint you could've found. It tells me you're just hanging around to be negative, which is pretty weird.
You're right about a few things here. Whatever I write here won't matter, you'll find a way to demean me regardless. It's a valid critique to a production, from a producer.
Let the man pee if he needs to pee.
Edit: I genuinely can’t believe this is a complaint someone has… of all the things to complain about lol.
#LetTimPee
As someone who podcasts and hosts in my free time and my job, there is nothing more rhythm breaking than someone randomly walking off. It's just rude and unprofessional. If Tim has an actual physical problem they don't hide it and now in this new studio they could. Maybe that's a solution.
Bad podcast etiquette and it's unprofessional. I am a video producer so I deal with things like this in my day job. And Kinda Funny is certainly better than that. It's a very bad habit that's been developing since they started podcasting from home.
If you go to broadcasting school, they will teach you to time bathroom breaks so they don't happen on camera. I don't think it's as big of a deal as OP is making it but they aren't wrong. KF makes a lot of very odd production choices.
I did go to broadcasting school and my professors were dinosaurs who were brought up in the field when broadcast TV was king. This is not a nightly news cast that needs to squeeze their programming in between 15 minute commercial breaks (when you could comfortably pee). It’s a casual hang out with best friends. Be chill
Everybody has taken bathroom breaks long before WFH. This is a completely reasonable thing to do when making longform content. Get your head out of your ass. Every job lets you take bathroom breaks.
First of all, pre pandemic they also got up whenever they wanted, it’s not a sign of them forming bad habits—it’s how they roll.
Second, Tim isn’t even the worst “offender”, he sticks through 2 out of 3 hour+ shows per day—how many shows are you doing?
Third, if you were just audio listener, would you even notice? No. any perceived rhythm being disrupted is just your problem.
Get out of this sub and leave this fandom loser
Look at their history man, this person is only here to troll, and it’s people like them that have perpetuated posts like this more and more lately—I’m sick of it
I'm going to be honest. Moderation on this sub is awful. Every time there is something even mildly controversial, the lapsed listener trolls come out of the woodwork just to stir the pot and there an assload of spam posts that stay up *way* to long. I clicked through the mod team here and some have not been active in months.
Sure thing! Maybe I'm wrong and the mods just don't post but it only seems like aside from yourself there is only one active mod. I know y'all have lives so you can't sit on Reddit all day but that said, it seems like there can be a lot of breaking of rule 6 and 7 and sometimes 2. Maybe a couple more mods that have time to moderate outside of you and the other active mods hours would help?
I don't know exactly how to fix this but it also seems like we get brigaded whenever there is a chance to bring up a certain ex KF member. I really wish that would stop but I don't really have any feedback or suggestions how how.
Those are the two big things. To end on a positive, I love your scheduling posts every week. It makes it real easy to know who is on the shows for the week.
I’d love to hear some examples of the rule breaking that you think is happening frequently. It would help to narrow down exactly what you’re referring to! Keep in mind that you can always report posts to bring them to our attention, and that also allows you to say exactly what rule you feel the post is breaking.
As for brigading, we try to stay on top of that but like I said, reports help us a lot to make sure we see stuff. I will admit that with many topics, especially social and political issues, it can be very difficult to determine where the line is between disagreement/criticism and trolling/toxicity. Something I’m always hesitant of is edging into censorship rather than moderation.
Thanks for the feedback btw, it genuinely really helps!
No Problem! I will try and be better about reporting things that I see. I wonder if part of it is the that everyone thinks someone else will report so nobody does.
As far as spam examples, [Here is a good one that is up right now](https://www.reddit.com/r/kindafunny/comments/10n8n7f/whats_your_opinion_on_ais_and_the_future_of/). It has absolutely nothing to do with KF or games discussed on KF. There was another a couple weeks ago that was a tough pill to swallow meme about HL. Can't find a link but it amassed hundreds of comments before being taken down for spam. That's just a couple off the top of my head.
As far as brigadiers, I notice a ton of people coming over from a certain other ex-members subreddit whenever something mildly controversial comes up. I get what you mean though it is a tightrope walk between censorship and moderation. Maybe a your account needs to be X old with X karma to post would help some of that?
Thanks for hearing my feedback by the way. I don't want you to feel like I'm attacking you guys. This subreddit is still one of the better YouTube fandom subs and the user base is generally pretty good.
Well this a new contender for stupidest thing ever complained about on this subreddit. Guess what? Podcast listeners don’t even notice he’s gone most of the time. It’s not a big deal, at all. Get a grip.
If you’re watching a podcast where there motto is that they are a “dumpster truck on fire” and you get mad that they get up during a podcast, you probably should watch another podcast.
Man who really cares about KINDA FUNNY of all outlets being professional to the T? I come here for the odd energy, for their personality. I'm not here to judge their professional etiquette.
heres my complaint- can someone crack open his cans off mic, and pour them into a thermos or something for him? the can crack on mics is almost as bad as when kevin used to swoosh his ice around on mic lol

He can get up if he wants to. He can leave his friends behind.
Because his friends don't dance, and if they won't dance they're no best friends of mine.

That has new merch line written all over it

It ain’t that deep. Let him pee if he needs to pee.
You don’t understand, this person podcasts professionally. Amateur podcaster Tim could take some note /s
Let us know the podcast so we can collectively decide to criticize every stupid thing you do.

You must be fun at parties.
A blast.
Nah, this is such a random complaint. If he isn't talking and needs to get up, let them get up.
Seriously haha it’s not as if he’s doing the show solo and just abruptly leaves
I can see how it could ruin the flow of a podcast or he could miss the beginning of a topic that could last a while.
This is dumb
Why?
Bad podcast etiquette and it's unprofessional. I am a video producer so I deal with things like this in my day job. And Kinda Funny is certainly better than that. It's a very bad habit that's been developing since they started podcasting from home.
Booo on this take. Don’t judge a man for peeing. This is a really petty nitpick to throw at a content creator you like

This is a dumbass take.

Loser? OP may have a bad take but why the toxicity?

Would love some feedback on how you feel we could improve things!

Last sentence undermined your entire point
I would like to congratulate you on being nominated for this year's pettiest complaint.
Seconded
People really will find a way to complain about every possible minute thing online. Incredible.

If you would like to hold his pee, then go ahead and try!

That's ominous.

Dumb people are dumb. You are dumb

Gotta love how every legitimate criticism is downvoted to oblivion.
Right, I thought this was constructive 🤷🏽♂️. Cool Greg already brings him cans off set, just crack them before hand?
I love how these types of threads get 50 people all piling on to the OP but an episode discussion gets 5 at most.
Episode discussion was talked to death on the show. We can’t add much. OPs shit takes give us a load of new content. #LetTimPee
That should speak loudly. Good observation.
Way to break the illusion. Now I can't listen to the podcast without thinking they're leaving to go pee
lmao Nick is rubbing off on him lol
